HHuifeidejinyuerThe B&B has adorable little bunnies you can feed, and in the evening, we sat in the courtyard chatting and even saw the Disneyland fireworks! 🎆 The Chinese breakfast spread was quite generous, and they even had freshly ground coffee ☕️. The surroundings are peaceful, and they offer shuttle service to Disneyland. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay, and we'll definitely be back this summer.

From check-in to departure, he was attentive and thoughtful throughout. He proactively explained all the lounge benefits, from breakfast and afternoon tea to evening service, arranging everything with meticulous care and warmth. He was quick to respond to any request, demonstrating professionalism and genuine hospitality that made us feel like family. Our experience was perfect, highly recommended!

GGuest UserService: The front desk staff, Wang Xing, provided excellent service! She didn't constantly bother us with WeChat messages during our stay, but was always responsive to our requests (though my wife and I didn't have many special demands). We booked the 'Yi Shanghai King Room' because my wife wasn't really interested in a river view, and easy access for driving was more important. I thought about taking my wife to explore the Bund and take a ferry, so I was choosing between the InterContinental The Bund and the Bellagio. Before our trip, I read reviews saying you could upgrade to a river view room for a small fee, thinking it applied to all 'Yue Shanghai' rooms. It wasn't until I arrived that I learned not all 'Yue Shanghai' rooms have river views. The front desk staff said I could use a membership discount and upgraded us to a partial river view room for an additional 110 yuan per night. To be honest, we came back quite late every day and didn't really have time to sit and enjoy the view. Environment: The room was advertised as 42 square meters, a bit smaller than an InterContinental executive room, but sufficient for two people. Facilities: The mini-bar was great; drinks were always replenished. However, I only drank 2 cans of Coke daily as I was driving and couldn't drink alcohol. Welcome Cookies: I didn't see any! Lobby Service: Excellent! The staff were very prompt and helpful with luggage. The foreign male staff member was particularly enthusiastic! Breakfast: My wife thought it was mediocre, not as good as the Westin we stayed at during our New Year's holiday in Hainan. Parking: No parking available at the hotel! However, we could park at a garage near the Bund, which cost 16 yuan per hour, capped at 128 yuan for 24 hours. We parked for three days, and it almost equaled our daily car rental fee. It's usually difficult to find a spot in the garage from evening until 10 PM, especially on holidays. Luckily, I left in the morning and returned quite late. The hotel doesn't reimburse parking fees, which the InterContinental does, making it a bit more considerate. Cleanliness: Good! Perhaps it was because the room lighting was a bit dim that I didn't notice any issues, hahaha! Oh, and there was a light in the hallway that I couldn't find the switch for, so it stayed on all night. Thankfully, my wife and I were quite tired on the first two nights and fell asleep quickly. I originally planned to have Western food at 'Magic Mirror' but ended up not going and went to 'One Foot Garden' instead. Location: Excellent! My wife said she'd stay here again next time because of the convenience.

The suite offered a stunning, expansive view directly overlooking the beautiful Bund, creating a fantastic ambiance. The hotel's service was meticulous and attentive, the facilities were top-notch, and the environment was serene and elegant. During the holiday season, I even received some delightful complimentary treats. The whole experience was absolutely fantastic – truly a benchmark in luxury.

There's just one minor thing that could be improved: the showerhead is a bit too low and can't be adjusted. Plus, it's positioned facing the door, so water tends to splash out easily.

GGuest UserOverall, it was a great stay. Honestly, I had some reservations at first because its reputation on some popular social media platforms wasn't great. However, when I stayed with my family last time, I was genuinely surprised: although the rooms weren't the newest, they didn't have that dingy, old-hotel feel. Instead of an overly ornate or gaudy style, they struck a perfect balance between brightness and romance, grandeur and restraint. This second visit, I was upgraded to a classic Poolside Deluxe Room, and the views were, of course, stunning. The overall ambiance of the room was fantastic. Some facilities (like certain cabinet doors) were indeed showing age due to the heavy humidity from the pool, as mentioned online, but it didn't affect their normal use. The swimming pool was also much better than some posts had described it; in particular, the three small hot pools by the main pool, each with a different water temperature, were very unique. You could even get a short swim in there, haha. The breakfast variety and taste were probably above average, but the fact that it's available until noon is just *chef's kiss*! From what I remember, hotels in downtown Shanghai that offer this are truly rare. The hotel's service across the board was also commendable. The bellhops in the lobby, wearing flat caps and vests, were very gentlemanly. Every time the housekeeping and turndown service staff came, they were incredibly polite. What particularly impressed us were: the front desk lady on Saturday, June 6th; the enthusiastic ambassador and the service staff who helped arrange a food delivery on the same night (and every other time an ambassador answered the phone, they were also very nice); and Ms. Deslin, who assisted us during check-out. In short, it was an excellent weekend getaway in every aspect, far exceeding the expectations set by online reviews.

When I inquired about exploring the Bund and making Michelin restaurant reservations, they patiently planned an itinerary, swiftly secured sought-after table bookings, and even thoughtfully printed out travel guides. Their efficiency and thoroughness, with attention to every detail, truly reflected a luxurious service standard, making my entire stay effortless and comfortable. This will be my top choice when visiting Shanghai; the concierge team truly adds immense value.

TThe Lonely TravellerMight I say, our entire stay at the W was marvelous from beginning to end. Upon arrival, we were greeted and helped with our luggage straight yo our room. The staff at the front desk was extremely friendly. She even offered to upgrade us to a room with a better view seeing that we were celebrating and visiting Shanghai for the first time. Each staff seemed to acknowledge our existence all throughout the hotel. This made us feel like extremely important people. Our room was absolutely stunning and oh my was the view ever so perfect. Room service was excellent. Their burger was probably the most delicious. We visited amd stayed in many hotels around China and this one definitely left some beautiful memories. We would highly recommend staying here if ever visiting Shanghai. Every penny spent was worth it.

GGuest UserI’m so glad I chose the Mehood Elegant Hotel. It was the perfect location — close to everything, not too crowded, yet not too remote either. I traveled solo with my 14-month-old toddler, and he was absolutely spoiled by all the hotel staff. Everyone treated us with so much kindness and care. Jerry checked us in and out and even gave me a cute fridge magnet. The breakfast was delicious with so many options to choose from, the rooms were cleaned daily, and bottled water was always replenished. Xiao Jun also took great care of us, and Yinhe Juan felt like an auntie to us. We looked forward to seeing them every morning at breakfast. They all made my stay feel so warm and welcoming — truly like a home away from home. I’m incredibly grateful for their hospitality, and if I ever find myself back in Shanghai again, I’ll definitely be booking Mehood. PS: the view from my room was incredible!
