Blackstone M+ Hotel, Shanghai

Walking from the lobby, each step felt like turning an old record. The mosaic floor tiles laid a vintage foundation, and the high-arched doorways diffused the light into a soft focus. Stained glass filtered colors onto the walls, overlapping with the silhouette of a gramophone. Musical score elements glimpsed casually in the hallway made me pause for a second look – the bones of this old building are still there, but they've been treated in a very contemporary way, making every casual photo look great. The room wasn't huge, but the layout was compact and neat. The Atelier Cologne toiletries had a healing scent, and a bath in the evening made for an overall comfortable stay. I especially want to mention Lilian and Nancy. From the detailed introduction at check-in to helping coordinate the room type, their responses were quick and their tone was pleasant. There wasn't that overwhelming, pushy enthusiasm; their professionalism was just right.

The environment, facilities, service, location, and breakfast were all impeccable. I'll definitely be back next time!

Really great, a hotel with good value for money. I love the vibe of this neighborhood – it's stylish and vintage, full of historical charm, and surrounded by music halls, bars, and boutiques. The hotel's cleanliness is truly impressive, the facilities are new, the service is good, and breakfast is decent too. Overall, a very satisfying experience.

The room design is incredibly stylish. Beyond the comfortable overall aesthetic, the showerhead in the bathroom was a pleasant surprise with its smooth, gradual transitions between various water pressures and spray patterns, rather than just preset modes. The fact that food deliveries can be brought directly to the room is definitely more flexible than what you'd find at other large five-star hotels. My only slight disappointment was the limited variety at breakfast. Otherwise, the visual experience was truly exceptional. Surrounding Environment: The area is rich in culture. The 'Muyunji' (Cloud Pasture Chronicle) offers a chance to unwind and immerse oneself in an ocean of music and culture. The park and its surroundings are filled with beautifully preserved historical buildings typical of the Hengfu cultural zone, well worth exploring.

If you're coming to Shanghai, you absolutely must stay here! The location is excellent, and the surroundings are very quiet, allowing you to truly soak in Shanghai's unique charm. The room decor is artistic, and the service at every step – from housekeeping to the front desk and restaurant staff – made me feel incredibly welcome, as if we weren't meeting for the first time. There was even a welcome gift upon check-in. And you definitely have to try the restaurant on the first floor; it's super delicious!

The soundproofing in the hotel is pretty good, and the room design is nice, though a bit small. Parking is very convenient, and the surrounding area is lovely. The breakfast is quite tasty, and the croissants are delicious.
