The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable, making for a great stay. The front desk service was warm and attentive, and check-in was efficient. The location is convenient for getting around, and the soundproofing is good, so it was very quiet at night for a restful sleep. It's great value for money, and I would choose this hotel again next time. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay! My daughter especially love the animals in the accommodation and we only wished we stayed longer! The service was top notch! They even helped me book a taxi to send my luggage to the next hotel instead of having me going back to hotel to arrange for it! I was out at another place quite far and it was too troublesome to get back to hotel to collect the luggage. They were the best!!! We felt very well taken care of and well rested! They also rent out a super luxurious stroller that totally make the Disney trip a breeze! My kid still needs her nap and it helped to age a nice trolley to nap in!

This hotel is 8-9 years old, and the facilities are quite poor. There's absolutely no street view. I initially went to the Marriott Renaissance by mistake, which is around the same price and also has similar operating hours, but it's in a much higher building. If you're not in one of the street-facing rooms at the Mercure, you're looking right at the back of a residential complex. 😢 The late-night snack was just noodles and wontons from that day! And the breakfast the next morning 😂😂😂 was even worse... I arrived at 9:20 AM and most of the food was gone, and they weren't restocking it promptly. I observed that by 9:45 AM, there was hardly anything good left. If you want breakfast, you better go early! I came here based on Ctrip reviews, but honestly, it was just mediocre. I don't know why it has so many good reviews! The Marriott Renaissance, for a similar price, offers city night views (not of the Oriental Pearl Tower, though) and an indoor pool, and it's closer to Yu Garden. The two hotels are only about a 10-minute walk apart! Anyway, if there's a next time, I'll definitely choose the Marriott Renaissance. 😂😂😂 Oh, and the hairdryer in the hotel 😂😂😂 had a bad connection; I had to hold it to make it work. I also don't know if it was just my imagination, but when I first entered the bathroom, there was a slight smell of urine... and my nose is particularly sensitive. To sum it up in one sentence... this room is not worth 1200! The service, however, was very good! No doubt about that.

Stepping into the lobby, I was immediately drawn to the stunning flower arrangement at the front desk – so stylish and clearly freshly changed that day, it really brought the whole space to life. The hotel's overall Art Deco style, with its geometric lines and brass accents, was a feast for the eyes everywhere, from the elevators to the hallways, and perfectly suited my taste. The cleaning staff were also incredibly friendly, always greeting me warmly, making me feel as comfortable as if I were staying at a friend's house.

Choosing to stay at The PuLi Hotel and Spa was the smartest decision of my trip to Shanghai. As a loyal Shangri-La guest, I found The PuLi, despite its age, to be exceptionally well-maintained. The public areas and rooms were spotlessly clean and tidy. The expansive public corridors on the hotel's ground floor made for a comfortable indoor stroll. The hotel's location is arguably the best in Pudong, offering extreme convenience. It's right next to IFC and Super Brand Mall, so dining and shopping are less than 200 meters away on foot. The room views are likely the best in Pudong; from the higher floors of the Zijing Building, you get direct views of the 'Three-piece Suit' (Lujiazui skyscrapers). I haven't stayed in the Pujiang Building, but I hear it offers panoramic views of the Huangpu River. The hotel's Chinese restaurant and breakfast offerings are of very high quality, and the pastries from the patisserie are equally outstanding; even the small pretzel knots were delicious. The fourth floor provides a mini children's playground with slides and a ball pit, which is very convenient for entertaining kids. Coupled with the vast public spaces and excellent dining options, you barely need to leave the hotel, even on a rainy day. The service consistently met Shangri-La's high standards – attentive, gentle, and never intrusive. The hotel also provides amenities for children, and if you inform them in advance, they go out of their way to accommodate, which I greatly appreciated. If you're visiting Shanghai and staying in Pudong, especially with family, The PuLi should be your top choice.

I stayed at this hotel specifically to attend the international furniture exhibition. The location is excellent, very close to the exhibition hall, and I could walk there, which made attending the show incredibly convenient. A special thanks to the concierge staff for kindly assisting with receiving my deliveries, solving the problem of sending and receiving exhibition materials. The front desk service was attentive and meticulous; they proactively upgraded my room, and the service was thoughtful and spot-on. The room environment was comfortable, and the overall professional and warm service is highly recommended.

Visiting Shanghai during the Tourism Festival, choosing to stay at the Waldorf Astoria on the Bund was hands down the best decision of this trip. Staying in a century-old building, with stunning city views of both sides of the Huangpu River right outside your window. Our dedicated concierge, Aaron Echole, was incredibly knowledgeable about local festivities and gave us thoughtful tips for the float parade and light festival, saving us the hassle of planning everything ourselves. It truly allowed us to immerse ourselves in the romance of Shanghai in autumn. The hardware, service, and superb location – all were exceptional. This hotel is definitely a top recommendation for anyone visiting Shanghai.

While the basic accommodation needs are met, there's definitely room for improvement in the details. In the mornings, there was often a loud banging noise from the corridor, which was quite disruptive and woke me up early, preventing a good night's sleep. The in-room facilities felt quite dated, and the bathroom waterproofing was inadequate; water would easily seep out during showers, making the floor slippery – a minor but present hazard. I hope the hotel considers renovating and upgrading the bathroom facilities and improving sound insulation between floors. On the positive side, the hotel's unique scenery and ambiance are big pluses. The lobby frequently features a resident band playing live music, creating a wonderful atmosphere in the common areas with their melodious tunes. The rooftop bar offers expansive views and an excellent sightseeing experience. The antique Rolls-Royce parked outside is a rare sight and makes for a stylish photo opportunity. Overall, it's a mixed bag of pros and cons.

Anyone booking the W for Qixi Festival is probably looking for that nightclub-style date vibe 🌝, and it definitely didn't disappoint! The room decor and lighting created such a great atmosphere. I asked the front desk for room number 10, and they accommodated my request. The view of the 'Three-Piece Set' (referring to the iconic skyline) at night was absolutely breathtaking – major thumbs up! I'd heard before that W's service wasn't great, but after experiencing it myself, I found it to be quite on point. Communication was smooth, and the staff's attitude was excellent. The restaurant food was delicious! I slept in the next morning and missed breakfast, and honestly, I feel like I lost a million bucks 🌝. Overall, I'm very satisfied and would definitely come back given the chance.

My stay here was fantastic! The hotel is conveniently located and offers great value for money. Staff members 12 and 16 were particularly excellent – their service attitude was superb, and they were very quick to resolve any issues. The room was spotless, the bathroom was odor-free, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I also appreciated the good soundproofing. The hotel's decor is lovely, and the overall environment is quiet, making for a very comfortable stay. I'm extremely satisfied and highly recommend it!
