Hotel near North Sichuan Road Commercial Area,Shanghai
Sofitel Shanghai North Bund is located in the heart of North Bund, next to the famous attractions of 1933 Old Field and Music Valley. Hotel offers beautifully appointed rooms with comfortable living areas, musical elements can be seen everywhere in the detailed design, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the bustling city and river. Le Chanleur All-Day Dining on the 5th floor offers all-day dining. L'Orchestre Lounge bar on the first floor is the perfect place to relax with wine, views and afternoon tea. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from Hailun subway station (Line 4 & 10). Walking distance to The Bund, about 10-minutes ride to the Oriental Pearl Tower, Nanjing Road(E) pedestrian street, the People Squared, Yu Garden, Xintiandi and many famous tourist attractions.

"#Room# The guy who checked me in upgraded my room type. The room was spacious, well-equipped, and the bedding was comfortable. #Service# The response time was quite prompt. If you order takeout at night, remember to call the front desk after receiving the delivery notification from the delivery driver, so the hotel can bring it up to your room promptly. #Location# This is the closest hotel to the First People's Hospital (a 5-minute walk). The inpatient building is so crowded, and private rooms are a resource ordinary people can't get. So this place is quite suitable as a temporary resting stop. #Other# We initially booked for two nights and then extended for another night. The front desk, considering it was typhoon season and ordering takeout would be difficult, thoughtfully provided two complimentary breakfasts, which was a very warm gesture."

My stay this time was incredibly comfortable and pleasant. Gary from guest relations was attentive and thoughtful throughout, promptly responding to all my requests. The laundry service was very efficient, and my clothes came back clean and tidy. In the evening, the turndown service was meticulous, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the service from all staff members was professional and warm-hearted. Overall, my experience was excellent, and I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit. Highly recommend!

They gave us an ideal room with a view of the Pearl Tower! The service was excellent; they really went out of their way to help us due to our flight cancellation because of a typhoon. At the reception, there were Russian-speaking hostesses, and the local hostesses also spoke decent English. The rooms truly felt like heavy luxury! Everything worked perfectly. On the downside, breakfast was very specifically Chinese, you really had to pick and choose what to eat to avoid food you weren't accustomed to. Also, the hotel allegedly miscalculated our stay twice, increasing the cost retroactively each time. Another unpleasant detail is that booking this hotel through Trip.com is considered a pre-booking, and you will effectively be charged twice at the hotel itself, plus a deposit for your stay. The pre-booking amount will only be refunded a few days after checkout – just be prepared for this.

What can I even write about this place?! The name itself says it all. It's immediately clear that the service, cleanliness, hospitality, and amenities are top-notch. The breakfast was simply magnificent; we didn't know what to try first. The location is superb – you walk out of the hotel and the metro is right there. The restaurant and bar on the upper floors offer an amazing view, but the prices are quite high too.

An absolutely wonderful experience! **Facilities:** Even though it's an older hotel, I was initially worried the facilities might be outdated. But when I arrived, I realized there was no need to worry at all. The overall vibe is one of rich heritage and understated luxury, without feeling old-fashioned. I personally loved it. **Hygiene:** The hygiene was excellent; I didn't notice any issues. **Environment:** Simply fantastic. Both the hotel itself and the guests staying there collectively create an atmosphere that made me feel it was truly great value for money. This is a hotel with genuinely sincere service and a superb location, well worth experiencing. I absolutely loved it.

We finally stayed in the long-coveted room with the scenic bathtub. The floor-to-ceiling window bathtub is definitely the highlight, offering a serene view of the flowing river and the city's towering buildings – capturing the unique romance of Shanghai perfectly. The breakfast buffet in the morning was incredibly thoughtful, with a wide variety of dishes catering to both adults and children. With no rush, we savored the moments amidst the city's riverfront panorama, creating warm birthday memories for the kids.

Let's start with the positives: the location, room decor, and service were all exceptional – truly superb. From the room, you can enjoy stunning views of the Bund and Pudong, as you can see from the pictures. The hotel's long corridor is located within the historic Shanghai Club building, which is fantastic for photos. Due to traffic restrictions, food delivery isn't available, but there are plenty of dining options and convenience stores nearby. Now for the negatives: the breakfast selection was limited and the taste was mediocre, which doesn't quite match the hotel's caliber. Also, the restaurant was quite cold, so those wearing dresses or shorts in summer should be aware. The hot water in the bathroom sink wasn't working. A technician came to fix it, and it worked for a bit, but by the afternoon, it was cold again.

What a gem of a hotel! I experienced 5-star service and quality for the price of a 4-star, truly amazing value for money! The hotel's overall design is stunning, bright yet cozy (especially the blinds and the floral arrangements in public areas – a visual delight). The mattress was just right, offering excellent support, and the fresh air system was incredibly effective, keeping the room consistently fresh and airy. What truly stood out was the breakfast. Unlike the monotonous buffets at typical hotels, they offered an à la carte, made-to-order service, akin to an executive lounge at a 5-star hotel (complemented by a simple semi-buffet of drinks, fruits, congee, and bread). The Western Eggs Benedict set was exquisite and delicious, both visually appealing and flavorful, enhancing the overall experience. Most of the staff were friendly and natural, making me feel right at home. The overall experience far exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality and great value!

The staff were all very friendly and had excellent service. However, the water from the sink was consistently yellow, and even after reporting it, the issue couldn't be resolved, making me hesitant to even wash my face. The room's decor and carpet were quite old, giving the whole place a very vintage feel. Aside from the convenient location, especially for getting to Xintiandi, I wouldn't recommend anything else.

We’ve been staying in the Cool corner room 3 of us with my 8yo son for three nights. Room was perfect, design was exciting, the extravagant room/bathroom combination is stunning. Breakfast was offering 5star quality options for kids as well. No better place to take photos about Shanghai skyscrapers and the Bund. We understand the outdoor pool closes early as it’s just next to the bar, but it was difficult to explain to my son ;-) Easy transportation, DiDi or metro just right at the door, also there are many options for dinner in the hotel or nearby.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, surrounded by numerous mall restaurants, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient! Janet, Penny, and Aria all provided exceptionally attentive service! They were warm, thoughtful, and responded quickly – definitely worth praising! The room was comfortable, the bedding clean and soft, and the view was beautiful. For this price, the quality you get is amazing value for money. Next time I'm in Shanghai, Conrad will definitely be my top choice. Highly recommended!!!
