Hotel near Xuhui District,Shanghai
The Jinglai Hotel·Selection (Shanghai Xujiahui Jiaotong University) provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Shanghai will find that the Jinglai Hotel·Selection (Shanghai Xujiahui Jiaotong University) is a fantastic accommodation choice. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Shanghainan Railway Station located approximately 5km away and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport roughly 14km away. Just a short walk from Xujiahui Metro Station, traveling to most city destinations is a breeze. With multiple attractions nearby including Xujiahui Sports Park, Wanping Theater and Wukang Mansion, guests will find plenty to keep themselves occupied. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. This Shanghai hotel offers parking on site. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is the usual choice for a large number of business travelers.

"Clean and hygienic, with excellent service. The main draw is its high value for money. They have a laundry room, dryer, and a front desk, plus freshly ground coffee. The facilities are quite comprehensive, and the transportation nearby is very convenient. It's in a great central location in Xujiahui."

Hotel near North Sichuan Road Commercial Area,Shanghai
Sofitel Shanghai North Bund is located in the heart of North Bund, next to the famous attractions of 1933 Old Field and Music Valley. Hotel offers beautifully appointed rooms with comfortable living areas, musical elements can be seen everywhere in the detailed design, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the bustling city and river. Le Chanleur All-Day Dining on the 5th floor offers all-day dining. L'Orchestre Lounge bar on the first floor is the perfect place to relax with wine, views and afternoon tea. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from Hailun subway station (Line 4 & 10). Walking distance to The Bund, about 10-minutes ride to the Oriental Pearl Tower, Nanjing Road(E) pedestrian street, the People Squared, Yu Garden, Xintiandi and many famous tourist attractions.

"The lady at the front desk, dressed in black, provided incredibly professional service that left a deep impression. Communication was exceptionally smooth; she understood my needs with just a few words, which was efficient and hassle-free. The front desk is very busy every day, yet their service efficiency and attitude remain top-notch, truly commendable. In comparison, the staff at the lobby bar were a bit less enthusiastic, but that's alright because the front desk ladies were so warm and proactive, which I found very touching. Most hotels are pretty much the same; it's only outstanding service that makes one stand out. I will definitely choose to stay here again if I have the need."

Excellent
Ppetter_The hotel's overall environment is very new, with a fresh and clean decor that's aesthetically pleasing. Its location is a huge plus, right next to People's Square Metro Station, making it a transportation hub as soon as you step out – super convenient for commuting and shopping. The dining offers a semi-buffet breakfast, which meets basic meal needs, but the variety of dishes is limited and the taste is uninspired. Overall, the standard is quite ordinary and not what I'd call refined. Most of the accommodation details were satisfactory, with the only minor drawback being that the in-room toilet was a standard model, lacking smart bidet functions, which made daily use a bit less convenient. Overall, the value for money is good. With its excellent location and new environment, it's a great place to stay for travelers. However, if you're looking for an exceptional dining experience or smart bathroom facilities, you might want to consider other options.

GGuest UserWe are a newly married couple on honeymoon. Ritz Carlton Shanghai has exceeded our expectations especially with the excellent service provided by Yuna in the guest welcoming team. She noted that we are on honeymoon and went above and beyond to make our stay special by a cute hand written card and a cake, and custom room cards alongside other gifts as a surprise upon checkout. We are so happy during the stay and appreciate her gestures and attention to detail a lot. Additionally the concierge team was great in helping to deliver everything we needed to our room as we are definitely one of the more difficult guests by getting a lot of food deliveries and taobao parcels haha. Overall great stay, amazing service, excellent views of Shanghai sky line. We will definitely come back again for longer.

SSt.CheIt’s a great hotel for a couple nights’ stay. Although it feels somewhat dated (it really shows in such a hi-tech city as Shanghai) and the public spaces are cramped (the gym gives claustrophobic vibes when there are more than 5 people in it), especially considering the size of the building and number of rooms - it may suit well for a conservative traveller, or if you have to stay in this particular area, or simply if you enjoy being among European/South American tourists (I got an impression that locals don’t stay here). In a nutshell, the location is unbeatable, the breakfasts were good (half of dishes were westernized), staff speaks English and is helpful, the view from my room was breathtaking, nights were quiet. Some fresh towels were still stained, tho. Not good.

Cchw_tThe hotel's location is fantastic. The lobby is on Sichuan Road, but there's also an entrance on Zhongshan East Road, making it super convenient to get to the Bund. After dinner, we relaxed at the hotel and waited for the Bund to be a bit less crowded before heading out for a stroll, which was really pleasant. The hotel's own restaurant is Michelin-starred, with an elegant atmosphere and good quality dishes. The bar is also great for a drink with a view of the Bund. As for the hotel facilities, they are top-notch, as expected from a hotel of this caliber. Overall, it was a very good experience.

GGuest UserTerrible. Will not stay again. The check-in SOP was unclear, forcing guests to ask multiple questions, even for basic information like breakfast times and location. The room smelled of smoke, possibly due to old or poorly maintained air conditioning. The front desk staff denied there was a smoke smell and only after repeated requests did they show me other rooms, about half of which also smelled of smoke. Their service attitude was both arrogant and perfunctory. The operational procedures were also a mess; for example, after checking in, I found the room didn't even have a kettle and called to request one. Ten minutes later, housekeeping knocked on the door, saying they needed to replace the in-room magazine. It was bizarre to replace a monthly magazine after check-in. The kettle that was eventually delivered was wet inside and out, with a strong disinfectant smell inside. The ice bucket in the room also had water and already smelled foul when opened. The hotel management is riddled with loopholes everywhere; quality is in the details. The hard furnishings like the toilet and bathtub in the room were old, the shower handle was broken, and the water pressure was worse than a 3 or 4-star hotel. The linens were average. However, the bedding and mattress were good.

GGuest UserA perfect family-friendly experience at Banyan Tree Shanghai on the Bund! 💯 The floor-to-ceiling windows in the room offer an amazing direct view of the Oriental Pearl Tower, and the night view is absolutely stunning. The lavish breakfast can easily last you until lunchtime, and right downstairs is the riverside promenade, perfect for leisurely strolls with the kids. Being surrounded by the Huangpu River and such beautiful scenery makes for such a happy stay~ Especially the butler service – so thoughtful, every single butler was outstanding! I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time...

TThe Lonely TravellerMight I say, our entire stay at the W was marvelous from beginning to end. Upon arrival, we were greeted and helped with our luggage straight yo our room. The staff at the front desk was extremely friendly. She even offered to upgrade us to a room with a better view seeing that we were celebrating and visiting Shanghai for the first time. Each staff seemed to acknowledge our existence all throughout the hotel. This made us feel like extremely important people. Our room was absolutely stunning and oh my was the view ever so perfect. Room service was excellent. Their burger was probably the most delicious. We visited amd stayed in many hotels around China and this one definitely left some beautiful memories. We would highly recommend staying here if ever visiting Shanghai. Every penny spent was worth it.

GGuest UserI had a very satisfying stay. The breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious, featuring Shanghainese specialties like xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), cifantuan (sticky rice rolls), and shengjianbao (pan-fried buns). They even made latte art on the coffee. After breakfast, I wanted to take some coffee back to my room, and the staff enthusiastically prepared several cups for me. I’m giving the hotel a 4-star rating due to the slightly outdated facilities, but everything else deserves 5 stars.

GGuest UserOverall, it was a fantastic stay. The location in Jing'an Temple is very convenient. This 40-year-old hotel still feels solid, steady, and radiant. The hardware truly reflects the pursuit of quality in hotel design from the last century – details like the shower grab bar, the double shower curtain, and the sturdy showerhead. I stayed on the 30th floor, and both the water temperature and pressure were excellent. This kind of attention to detail is rare to see nowadays, especially after the real estate boom and the proliferation of five-star hotels in the last decade. The room furniture and decor transport you back to an era of unique craftsmanship and meticulous artistry. The lobby is airy, spacious, and grand, and the Western restaurant boasts a bright atrium with a charming stream – spatial designs like these are hard to find today. Customer service was very responsive, indicating that the staff is well-manned and professional. My only minor feedback is that the female staff at the front desk all appeared to be without makeup; it would be nice if that could be improved.
