"The hotel's location is a major plus; it's super convenient to get to the Bund, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The downside is that the rooms are very small. Even in an executive family room, there was no proper table or counter to put things on, just a tiny round side table that couldn't hold much. We practically had to put everything on the floor, which was not a great experience. Breakfast was mediocre with limited variety. Honestly, for over 1500, you're mostly paying for the location."

"This was my first stay at Orange Hotel, and I'm officially a fan! The subtle orange scent upon entering instantly soothed my travel fatigue. The front desk staff were efficient during check-in and thoughtfully provided recommendations for local food and transportation. The room was spacious, and the voice-controlled lights and curtains meant I didn't have to get out of bed. The mattress was just right – not too soft, not too firm. Even though my room faced the street, the soundproofing was excellent, and I slept soundly until morning. The water pressure in the bathroom was strong, and the toiletries smelled great. Plus, the laundry room and gym are both free to use, making it perfect for either leisure or business trips."

"This hotel was not cheap, so I had high expectations in comparison to the hotel I stayed in just before at half the price. We arrived at 5pm after a very long travel day and were stunned to be told our room wasn’t ready and we were to come back in an hour. 4 hours after check in opens and they think its acceptable to expect us to wait for a room we have paid 1150 yuan pn for. Only 18 hours in the room. I don’t think so. I told them it was unacceptable and they got a room ready after we hung around for 20 minutes. No apology. They didn’t seem to care at all and just looked put out. So I was surprised to see a bunch of literature in the room waffling on about how customer service was a priority to them because it certainly didn’t seem to be. Unfortunately we were put in a room directly below reception and could hear not only constant stomping above and the grating of chairs being dragged across the floor but the room next door had screaming kids making a racket and it was directly in front of the lifts so anyone at the lifts could also be heard because the room had no sound proofing. There was also building works going on so there was a constant hammering and sometimes drilling. I woke up at 4am at one point and they were drilling! Totally ridiculous. The room was nice. Great bed and pillow if a little firm. Well laid out and the shower was excellent. I’d like this shower at home. Giant tv we couldn’t use as there were no international channels at all and the screen sharing thing wasn’t working for us likely due to our eSIM. Nice kettle and free mini bar of bottles of water, tea and coke. A fruit bowl appeared when we got back from being out which was nice. Breakfast was so so. Mostly eastern catered. They have congee and dumplings from 9.30pm til midnight which was great. Location was excellent. Less than one minute to underpass to metro and 10 mins walk to the Bund. On Nanjing rd which is bustling with shops and restaurants. But if you can’t get your room til 6pm and then can’t sleep due to the constant noise then location and nice furnishings don’t matter a jot! Don’t stay here unless it’s much cheaper than we paid. The hotel we stayed in the day before at less than half the price was far superior."

"Nice hotel a bit higher in price, but worth it considering the neighboring hotel ratings. Check-in was easy. Though early, they held my bags and have dining inside or nearby. Walking distance within many stops like the outdoor mall, X Tower, and Green Jade Buddah. Lots of bikes or taxis available. Concierge and Housekeeping respectful. Bathroom amenities and views great. Comfortable bed. Breakfast nice and sufficient. Thanks for the Dragon Boat gift 🎁"

We had such an amazing experience at this Disney hotel, and I truly feel like this property deserves every bit of praise. My husband, our 6 kids, and I traveled all the way from Orlando, Florida in America, and after such a big trip, staying somewhere this welcoming, clean, and well-run meant so much to us. From the moment we arrived, the staff made such a strong impression on me. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful. It did not feel fake or forced at all, it felt like they truly cared about making sure our stay was comfortable and special. One thing I really want to mention is that even with us traveling from America, the language barrier was honestly not hard at all when dealing with the staff. That was something I truly appreciated. Everyone was so kind, so patient, and so willing to help that communication never felt stressful. They made everything feel easy and comfortable, and that meant a lot, especially traveling with a big family and small children. No matter what we needed, they did their best to help us understand and made sure we felt taken care of. That level of effort, patience, and kindness goes a very long way, and they really made us feel welcome. The staff went above and beyond in so many little ways, and those things really added up. Any time I had a question, needed help, or wasn’t sure about something, someone was there with a smile, ready to help without hesitation. That kind of service stands out, especially when you are traveling with family, and it made such a huge difference for us. They were not just “nice” .They were the kind of staff that makes you stop and think, wow, these people really care. You can feel when people are just doing a job, and you can also feel when people are truly making an effort to give guests a great experience. This staff absolutely did that. Now let me talk about the cleanliness, because honestly this is one of the cleanest hotel properties and rooms I have ever seen in my life. I do not say that lightly. The moment we walked in, everything looked absolutely spotless. Not just tidy, not just “good enough,” but truly immaculate. The room looked fresh, polished, and cared for in a way that is hard to explain unless you see it for yourself. Every surface looked pristine. The floors were clean, the bathroom was shining, the bedding felt fresh and perfectly maintained, and the entire room gave that rare feeling of being deeply, properly cleaned. There was not that uneasy hotel feeling some places have where you start wondering what has or has not really been cleaned. This place felt the complete opposite. It felt sanitized, refreshed, and cared for to the highest standard. The room was so clean that it immediately made us feel comfortable enough to fully relax. When you are staying with children, cleanliness matters even more, and this hotel absolutely exceeded expectations. I noticed the details, and the details matter. The bathroom was spotless, the beds looked crisp and fresh, the furniture was clean, the floors looked amazing, and the whole room felt like it had been cleaned with real care and pride. Even beyond the room itself, the entire property was unbelievably clean. That is what impressed me so much. Usually a hotel might have a nice room, but the hallways, common areas, elevators, or grounds do not always match that same level of care. Here, the cleanliness was consistent everywhere. The entire property was beautifully maintained, and you could clearly tell that cleanliness is taken seriously at every level. Everything looked so well-kept, so polished, and so intentionally maintained that it honestly made the whole stay feel even more luxurious and relaxing. It is such a good feeling to be able to fully settle in and enjoy your stay without noticing dirt, neglect, or things being overlooked. This hotel gave us that peace of mind completely. You can tell there is real effort behind the scenes to keep ever

#Room#: Very comfortable, perfect for families of three or four with kids. I was traveling with two children and one adult, and my feedback is that we all slept incredibly well and had a great rest. It was quiet and the soundproofing was excellent. #Cleanliness#: Spotless. The housekeeper cleaned daily, changing sheets, duvet covers, and so on. They even installed bed rails for the kids, which was very thoughtful. #Breakfast#: A great mix of Chinese and Western options. There were Western choices like pastries, bread, and coffee, alongside Chinese favorites such as steamed buns, 'wowotou' (corn bread), corn, plain congee, millet congee, noodles, vegetables, and eggs. The fruit selection was extensive, and there was juice, milk, and soy milk – a wide and complete variety. #Dinner#: Noodles, wontons, etc. The kids loved it all. We actually gained a few pounds staying here because the food was so good! We ate well, slept well, and felt relaxed and at ease 😄. #Service#: The front desk staff were incredibly warm, attentive, thoughtful, and very professional. I would definitely choose to stay at Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden Bund again. I highly recommend Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden Bund to anyone planning to visit with children~

My stay in Shanghai this time was incredibly satisfying; choosing the right accommodation truly made the entire trip much easier. The hotel boasts an unbeatable location right in the city center, making getting around incredibly convenient. With excellent transportation links all around, popular shopping districts and attractions are very close by. Whether it's for shopping, dining, or sightseeing, there's no need for long journeys, saving a lot of travel time—it's perfect for anyone visiting Shanghai. The most delightful surprise was the room's view. It offered a wide, clear panorama overlooking the Suzhou Creek. During the day, the river flows peacefully and serenely, exuding the soothing ambiance unique to urban waterways. As night falls, the lights along both banks gradually illuminate, with gentle light strips stretching along the river. The light reflections dance on the water, and as the evening breeze blows, the ripples shimmer softly, creating an incredible atmosphere. There's no need to brave crowded attractions; you can simply stay in your room and enjoy the ever-changing scenery of the Suzhou Creek, from day to night. After a busy day of sightseeing, gazing quietly at the river view outside the window feels as if the city's hustle and bustle are completely shut out. Your mind gradually calms, and fatigue melts away. This hotel's greatest highlights are its prime location coupled with the calming Suzhou Creek views. Having such a relaxing viewing experience in the city center is exceptionally rare. My overall stay was comfortable and pleasant, with no disappointments. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy city river views; it offers outstanding value for money. The next time I visit Shanghai, this hotel will definitely be my top choice again.

But when I arrived, I realized there was no need to worry at all. The overall vibe is one of rich heritage and understated luxury, without feeling old-fashioned. I personally loved it. **Hygiene:** The hygiene was excellent; I didn't notice any issues. **Environment:** Simply fantastic. Both the hotel itself and the guests staying there collectively create an atmosphere that made me feel it was truly great value for money. This is a hotel with genuinely sincere service and a superb location, well worth experiencing. I absolutely loved it.

Let's start with the positives: the location, room decor, and service were all exceptional – truly superb. From the room, you can enjoy stunning views of the Bund and Pudong, as you can see from the pictures. The hotel's long corridor is located within the historic Shanghai Club building, which is fantastic for photos. Due to traffic restrictions, food delivery isn't available, but there are plenty of dining options and convenience stores nearby. Now for the negatives: the breakfast selection was limited and the taste was mediocre, which doesn't quite match the hotel's caliber. Also, the restaurant was quite cold, so those wearing dresses or shorts in summer should be aware. The hot water in the bathroom sink wasn't working. A technician came to fix it, and it worked for a bit, but by the afternoon, it was cold again.

We’ve been staying in the Cool corner room 3 of us with my 8yo son for three nights. Room was perfect, design was exciting, the extravagant room/bathroom combination is stunning. Breakfast was offering 5star quality options for kids as well. No better place to take photos about Shanghai skyscrapers and the Bund. We understand the outdoor pool closes early as it’s just next to the bar, but it was difficult to explain to my son ;-) Easy transportation, DiDi or metro just right at the door, also there are many options for dinner in the hotel or nearby.

Our stay has been a pleasure. The room is well furnished with all the essentials needed for an holidays of more than one day (fridge, washing machine and dryer). The beds are very soft and there is enough room for luggages. Our room is located in the French concession quarter, an interesting area with a lot of nice restaurants for all the budgets, convenience store and coffee. The service is very kind and helpful: the host has created a weChat group for us, with all the staff to answer our needs, and they provided us all the information days before the checking, ensuring that everything was clear. They bought us also water bottles for our stay. Few negative points to be discussed: the road in which our room (named Rome or ”Luoma”) is located is in a secondary street, unfortunately full of poor maintained house. When we saw the main entrance of the building we thought we were being scammed, since it was a mess with mold and falling paints from the wall, garbage and boxes. Fortunately the room is completely different! Another negative point are the windows that are super thin. Even if closed, you can hear everything from the road (the last night the neighbour were arguing for more than 1 hour and we could hear everything. It was like they were with us in the room!). The curtains are ok for the privacy, but not for the light: at 5 am the light of the sun was so strong that we needed to use eye masks to be able to sleep a little more. In general, our staying has been very pleasant and we suggest it! We hope that the host fix soon the few negative points
