This hotel truly left a lasting impression; the entire stay was simply amazing. As soon as I arrived, the first thing I saw was the majestic lion statue, full of artistic flair and a sense of ceremony, immediately conveying the hotel's unique design style. Stepping into the lobby, the warm lighting, exquisite spatial design, coupled with the staff's friendly smiles and warm greetings, made me feel right at home from the moment I entered. But what really surprised me was the room itself. The overall design of the room was stunning – modern and elegant, yet with a touch of understated luxury. From the furniture and lighting to every little detail in the room, you could tell the hotel put a lot of thought into its design. What I'll remember most, though, is the river view from the room. The moment I opened the window, the scene before me was truly like a work of art. The river, the city skyline, and the buildings in the distance intertwined, especially in the evening and at night, as the lights slowly came on, the whole of Shanghai transformed into a dynamic urban painting. Just sitting in the room, doing nothing but quietly admiring the river view outside, was an absolute pleasure in itself. The hotel's ambiance, room design, service, and the breathtaking views all made this stay a truly delightful memory. If you're looking for a hotel in Shanghai that offers design, comfort, and incredible views, this place is definitely worth experiencing. It's absolutely a hotel I'd be willing to stay at again. ❤️

The location is superb, right in the IFC complex, with rooms starting from the 45th floor. The river-view rooms offer direct views of the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Lujiazui 'three-piece set,' making the night view absolutely stunning. The Ritz service is consistently attentive and reliable. Breakfast is a semi-buffet with à la carte options, and the quality is excellent. The FLAIR rooftop bar on the 58th floor has a fantastic ambiance. While the hotel opened a while ago, so the facilities show some age, the bathtub in the room is quite close to an office building, offering limited privacy when bathing. However, direct access downstairs to the IFC mall makes getting around and shopping extremely convenient. This is definitely the top choice if you want to experience the Lujiazui night view.

My business trip stay was an excellent experience overall, and I'd like to specially thank concierges Dawson and Ethan, and front desk staff Nancy. Upon arrival, the doorman Ethan proactively offered to help with my luggage, and concierge Dawson guided me to my room, providing warm and attentive service. During check-in, Nancy at the front desk was efficient and professional, quickly processing everything. She was also patient and thorough in answering my various questions, and thoughtfully provided information on local transportation and dining options, which perfectly suited my business travel needs. The room was clean and quiet, with complete facilities, suitable for both work and rest. All three staff members were polite and courteous, and their attentiveness was evident in every detail of their service, easing the fatigue of business travel. The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around and conducting business. Both the thoughtful assistance from the concierges and the professional reception from the front desk left a great impression on me. This stay was very comfortable and I highly recommend it for business travel. On future business trips to this area, I will prioritize choosing this hotel.

This hotel is close to Disneyland, which is great for a trip there. They offer a free shuttle service to and from the park, saving us the hassle and cost of taxis. The room was clean, and the staff was very friendly. After a long day of fun, it was wonderful to come back to a comfortable place to rest. Highly recommended!

From the elegant Morandi-inspired color palette to the spacious 2-meter bed, everything in the room was impressive and incredibly relaxing. The staff were all very polite! I think next time I visit Shanghai, I will continue to choose the Waldorf Astoria. Also! During this stay at the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund, I'd like to extend a special thanks to our dedicated concierge, Aaron Echole. He proactively added me on WeChat on the night of check-in, which made communication seamless afterward. When I requested a late check-out at the last minute, the concierge immediately helped coordinate and implement it, making the entire process efficient and smooth. I didn't have to go back and forth to the front desk for inquiries. The communication was easy and thoughtful, and responses were quick. You could feel the dedication in the details. Such flexible and considerate service made my trip much more relaxed and significantly enhanced this stay.

Especially as night falls and the city lights up, enjoying this breathtaking night view from the comfort of your room or private terrace creates an incredibly immersive atmosphere. In terms of hardware, the suite perfectly blends understated luxury with retro charm. The spacious room design cleverly incorporates Art Deco style with old Shanghai aesthetics. A separate walk-in closet, a marble double bathtub, underfloor heating, and a highly tech-savvy bedside control panel all demonstrate an extreme pursuit of detail. Despite being open for over a decade, the hotel meticulously maintains its facilities, and the quality remains impeccable. Furthermore, the dining options within the hotel are not to be missed. Whether it's the exquisite cuisine at the Michelin-starred restaurants or the highly ceremonial English afternoon tea in the lobby, both offer an ultimate culinary delight. A stay in a river-view suite at The Peninsula Shanghai promises an unforgettable journey through luxury. Special thanks to the helpful young lady with glasses at the front desk (I was in a hurry to check in and forgot to ask her name) who kindly upgraded my reserved garden-view suite to a river-view suite for free. I also have a small suggestion: for example, the portion size of the waffles for breakfast is three times that of The Peninsula Beijing. It would be great if guests could be recommended à la carte options, as a smaller, more refined breakfast would reduce waste.

This was my second time bringing my 72-year-old mother to the Banyan Tree on the Bund, and it happened to be her zodiac birth year. The hotel specially arranged a birthday setup, full of ceremony, and even gave her a birthday cake. My mom was pleasantly surprised, and the service was as excellent as ever. Our butler, Cynthia, was incredibly thoughtful and warm, making us feel right at home! The rooftop terrace bar offers a direct view of the Lujiazui 'Three-Piece Suit' in Pudong, perfect for enjoying afternoon tea while admiring the beautiful scenery. The night view is even more stunning! The only slight drawback is that the hotel is a bit old, and the showerhead isn't very comfortable, but the cleanliness is still very good. Breakfast was quite ordinary, but my mom said she was very satisfied overall 😊 A special thanks to Alisa, who was so considerate of my mother. Because it was raining, she arranged a complimentary transfer service for us from the hotel lobby directly to the South Railway Station, putting a perfect end to my mother's trip to Shanghai 👍

Compared to my visit two years ago, the front desk service this time was excellent. They were very attentive, asking about my needs, and even helped me check in early, which was a big plus! The room facilities were consistently well-equipped, and the breakfast spread was a huge highlight with so many choices. The location of W in North Bund and the views are, of course, unparalleled. I will definitely be back!

This is a really large hotel, especially the lobby which is stunning. Dining there in the mornings was a pleasure, and I noticed many international guests. It seems to be an older hotel, but the facilities are incredibly well-maintained. The room was spacious, and I was very satisfied with the cleanliness. The service was top-notch, and the hotel's location is excellent – right outside Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient.

We checked in on the evening of October 3rd. It was a bit cold and rainy after getting off the subway. When we arrived at the hotel, front desk staff members #11 and #19 warmly introduced us to local attractions and even provided free breakfast vouchers. The breakfast was delicious and had a great variety. The housekeeping staff was very polite. I'm also very grateful to the front desk staff today for allowing a late check-out, which let my daughter rest well before heading to the airport. We will definitely stay here again next time!
