GGuest UserThe overall environment is great, the decor is luxurious, and the rooms are quite clean. It's super convenient for getting to Disneyland. The breakfast is delicious, and they even offer free late-night snacks. There are many restaurants concentrated nearby, so dining out is very easy. They have free parking, and the subway station is also very close, less than a 10-minute walk away. Plus, they offer a free shuttle service during the day, which is a nice touch.

SShanghai based coupleAs a couple who has lived in Shanghai together for almost 10 years, with one of us also Shanghainese, we have been to a lot of the best places in Shanghai, and some of the more recommended places in about 20 cities in the broader nearby area. Nothing in the city or within several hours of high-speed rail compares to a stay at Ritz-Carlton Pudong. In Asia and indeed the planet, this impeccable hotel experience stands as an iconic example of old-world elegance and service. In addition, it also offers a unique view of both some of the most modern and tallest buildings and the city’s famed Bund riverside, home to a variety of art deco architectural masterpieces. We had the incredible good fortune to start our honeymoon at the Ritz in Pudong, and this last stay was our last honeymoon treat. As always, it was a spectacular experience that we cannot recommend enough. The most extraordinary part of the stay really is the staff, they are all world class people who go above and beyond to make the Ritz-Carlton Pudong such an exceptional institution in one of the world’s leading cities. Sincere thanks to the whole team for making this happen, including Cherryl, who made reservation delightfully effortless, Chris who helped us to our room, and Joey and Ruby who helped in the evening. Special and heartfelt thanks to the whole team who make the Club Lounge experience world beating: Eddie and Junita, who both lead by example, have a deep passion for the details that create excellence, as well as being just the nicest people. They are both incredibly inspiring leaders and professionals. Claire is generally excellent there but also was phenomenally helpful to get a bag back when it was left behind, we really apricated that. Jeramy and Vivian also are amazing, as are Club Lounge’s chef’s Joe and Austin. Sherry is a real star, attentive, sharp and so helpful. Last but not least, Helen, who was the first person to greet us after we got married, and fittingly the last person to help us create personalised room key cards with our wedding photo on it, and most recently a special photo of family from our honeymoon. Those keycards are really cool keepsakes, but making them is not as simple as you might think: the image is etched into the key, not printed, so the original photo needs to be translated by AI into an image that the etching system is capable of delivering, which is really impressive. When I showed my mom who lives very far away, even she was impressed with Helen’s work. Ordinarily we prioritise new experiences over more of the same, regardless of how comfortable and nice it is. But regardless of how hard we try, we have not been able to figure out a better way to celebrate our biggest moments than a stay at the Ritz in Pudong.

GGuest UserThis is my second trip to Shanghai, and I'm so glad to be back. I was especially happy to meet Jerry from the concierge team. From the moment we checked in, Jerry was incredibly helpful and always greeted us with a bright smile. He continued to be attentive and assisted us right up until our check-out. Jerry truly made my experience at the Sofitel Shanghai North Bund unforgettable, and he makes me want to return again and again. I was genuinely touched by his professionalism and kindness; he is an excellent hotel staff member.

GGuest UserI have to commend the Waldorf Astoria concierge team, especially Jack and Finn. They were both professional and incredibly thoughtful. They proactively helped us arrange transportation, and Jude even walked us out with an umbrella when it was raining, ensuring we were well taken care of despite the weather. They had excellent knowledge of local attractions and transportation routes, answered all our questions meticulously, and were always ready to assist with high efficiency. Their polite and gentle demeanor made our trip feel so much more secure and comfortable. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserWe stayed here with our child during our trip to Shanghai. Unfortunately, my child wasn't feeling well, but the service was excellent. Lily was incredibly thoughtful, bringing us a cup of hot water and a fever patch. The hotel itself is quiet and elegant, a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle, yet still boasts a prime river view. Our room was bright with great views, and the bedding was super comfortable. After we checked out, Cynthia even called to check in on us. It's truly a wonderful place to relax and unwind.

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right next to the subway and train stations. The facilities look good at first glance, but after experiencing them, I realized they definitely need improvement. The gym has a wide range of equipment, but it's not well-maintained and unhygienic with a lot of sweat stains. There isn't enough space to use dumbbells, and it's impossible to maintain a proper distance from others. No towels were provided; after asking staff, I was given an oversized bath towel, which suggests insufficient training and amenities. The breakfast offers a wide variety of food, but during peak hours, there aren't enough seats. The staff seemed unsure how to handle the situation, very unfamiliar, and there was a lack of communication and training among them. I'd suggest placing the salad and drinks lower for children to access easily. The room is spacious, but the lighting is quite dim despite having many lamps. Unfortunately, the bathroom occasionally has a sewer smell, which absolutely needs to be addressed. Overall, this Pullman doesn't compare favorably to other Pullmans I've stayed at. The main issues that truly need improvement are staff management and facility maintenance.

DDazhaolaogegeThe room was very clean. I originally booked one night with a Pearl Tower view and one night with a Bund view. Due to the holiday crowds and limited room availability, I would have had to switch rooms. However, the staff allowed me to extend my stay in the original room, saving me the hassle of moving. This was very thoughtful and convenient. Since I arrived early and the room wasn't ready yet, staff member Lorna thoughtfully arranged for an urgent cleaning. The room was ready quickly, and she was also very caring and attentive to my child. Thank you! The Oriental Pearl Tower view from the room was absolutely fantastic. I had a very pleasant stay this time.

SsignxService: The best hotel I've ever stayed at! No exaggeration. I've tried many hotels in Shanghai, including Shangri-La (Jingan, Pudong), Ritz-Carlton (Pudong), Peninsula (Bund), Shanghai Tower J-Hotel, Grand Hyatt, Kempinski, Disney hotels, Westin, Kerry Centre, Sheraton... Apart from Banyan Tree, which I'm not interested in, and St. Regis, which I tried in Sanya, and Waldorf Astoria, which I haven't had the chance to visit yet, I've checked out almost all the hotels my child and I were interested in. Honestly, W truly impressed me. From purchasing the package and booking the dates in advance to phone communication, the staff consistently displayed genuine warmth and professionalism. They meticulously noted all my requests, ensuring accurate internal communication. On the day of arrival, I wasn't feeling well and my tone wasn't great. Yet, the front desk staff listened attentively and with incredible patience throughout. This level of internal training deeply impressed me. There was none of the arrogance I've experienced at the Peninsula or Ritz-Carlton; instead, it was full of understanding for the customer. I actually want to come back and stay again soon! 😂 I even joked with the hotel staff, asking if this excellent service was because I booked a suite. 😝 But then again, I had suites at Shanghai Tower J-Hotel and Ritz-Carlton too, and the service there was... well, let's just say it was different. At the W, it's not just the front desk and lobby; even the staff helping with the elevator and the cleaning crew in the basement are incredibly cheerful and sincere. I love this fresh, uplifting energy and team. Facilities: The facilities are clean and hygienic, and every room has a bidet toilet seat, which is a nice touch! Environment: Very clean, and most importantly, the view across the river is absolutely stunning. Hygene: The hygiene is excellent, very clean. And their response time is super fast. If I had to pick one downside, it would be that the配套 facilities at Magnolia Plaza are a bit too low-end, haha. They really don't match the W's standard.

TTianxiagangluanjiuchengjiuCame with a friend, and Peter at the front desk was a great help, he coordinated our rooms for us. The breakfast was also perfectly to my liking, even though I'm just a poached egg lover, haha. As long as there are poached eggs, I'm happy! Oh, and when I stayed here before, there was no singer during happy hour, but now there is live music! The atmosphere is really good, it would be even better if there was a bit more interaction!

AAihekeledeAmeliaThis positive review is dedicated to the Executive Lounge and Housekeeping departments. The staff were incredibly warm, proactive, and thoughtful! Especially the Executive Lounge staff – upon learning my father had mobility issues, they not only offered constant care and assistance but even specially reserved a bowl of wontons for him so he wouldn't miss afternoon tea. The Housekeeping staff were also fantastic; they kept the room spotless every day and often reminded us that we could call them for any assistance, anytime, anywhere.
