"The hotel is located near Yu garden.
As a solo female traveller, it is the best location IN shanghai. The metro and bus stop are located a few steps away from the hotel.
The access to the hotel is from the back of the building in the pictures, though a door and via elevators.
The area is very safe and there is always people around and most food shops are open late.
The hotel itself is very clean, although the reception staff doesn't speak English, they use a translator. Everyone was very nice and accommodating.
My room was very big and spacious."

MM296903****This hotel offered a fantastic stay, and what really stood out was the exceptional service. From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff were warm and efficient, patiently answering all our questions and proactively sharing information about the Disneyland shuttle schedule and useful tips for our visit. Their attention to detail was truly thoughtful and impressive.
Everyone, from the restaurant staff to the cleaning crew, was incredibly friendly and eager to help. It felt like a warm homecoming, and their dedication to guests really won us over.
The complimentary Disneyland shuttle service was incredibly convenient! It ran frequently and on time. The early bus helped us catch the early bird access to the park, and the late bus always waited for returning guests. The ride was only about ten minutes, saving us the hassle and expense of taxis. This was a huge plus, especially traveling with kids, making the whole trip stress-free and easy.
The dining experience was another delightful surprise! The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of options, with both Western and Chinese dishes. There were hot dishes, pastries, freshly made wontons and noodles, fruits, and drinks – everything you could wish for. The ingredients were fresh, and the food tasted delicious. Both adults and children were very satisfied. We could enjoy a leisurely and filling breakfast even when catching an early shuttle, setting us up for an energetic day. Even more thoughtfully, the hotel also provided late-night snacks. After a tiring day at Disneyland, coming back to a warm, comforting supper was incredibly therapeutic and melted away all our fatigue.
Overall, the value for money was outstanding. The service, transportation, dining, and family-friendly facilities were all excellent, making it the perfect choice for accommodation near Disneyland! When we visit Disneyland again, we will definitely choose Maxinge International Hotel. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Disneyland!

MM361034****This hotel is the absolute pinnacle, I can't even put it into words. Everything, from the facilities to the service, was a top-tier experience!
They even gave us a special little gift on Christmas Eve, and the custom design on the room key card was exactly what I had hoped for – I'll cherish it forever! The food was nutritious, healthy, and delicious, and the drinks menu offered both Western and Chinese options. Celebrating Christmas here, I took so many amazing photos. This whole experience was precisely what I had envisioned for Shanghai!
Every single staff member had a smile on their face and made eye contact. The foreign female manager at the Italian restaurant, in her red suit, was so chic and beautiful, and on top of that, her Chinese was incredibly fluent and authentic! When she started speaking, I actually questioned my own nationality!

The location is excellent, convenient, and close to everywhere I needed to go.
What impressed me the most, however, was the service. From the Chief Concierge to the Front Office team, everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. They truly made sure my stay was smooth and stress-free. I would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.

AAnnisidelvxingbijiFacilities: Compared to some of the hotels in the old Bund area, Banyan Tree is a newcomer, so the overall facilities are newer. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, all over 60 square meters, which is excellent for this location.
Service: When checking in, since there weren't two adjacent rooms available in our original booking (we were a family of 4 adults and 1 child), they proactively upgraded our room type. The service during our stay was also very attentive. As it was my husband's and mother-in-law's birthdays the day before and the last day of our stay, respectively, they even sent us a small cake, which was a very thoughtful touch.
Ambiance: With Christmas approaching, the hotel already had a strong festive atmosphere, especially the Christmas tree in the garden. It looked absolutely beautiful when lit up at night and was perfect for photos, haha.

GGuest UserNear to railway station. Major plus for our group. Train access was one of a key plus point too. Took cab however to most places we had a kid. Took a train to Jing An (3r per adult) and from Airport (7r per adult). Pretty convenient and affordable though didi wasn’t expensive. Food is meh at breakfast and Executive Lounge - pretty repetitive with a few changes here and there. International but of course still more Chinese food. Chinese food is too oily and heavy flavoured for our taste but that could be subjective.
Front desk was decent. One of the concierge guys was pretty helpful. Hotel is modern, clean, beautiful hardware though. Breakfast is for two per room but could be added at 100r a day before or 130r on the day itself. Additional person for executives lounge access could be waived for a review though we didn’t utilize that.
We had the executive suite room with large access. Huge room we are pretty satisfied. Our room looks out to the railway station which was wgreat for us as we were heading to Suzhou after Shanghai 30 mins HSR away. Walk is 5 mins away.
The bathroom siding door couldn’t be locked as that was faulty. Dyson hairdryer. Huge bath space. Offered to convert sofa bed to bed without charge for that first so that was great.
Not many big issues, I think we could stay again dude. Of course Shanghai has many great options as well, except for the food - wouldn’t order breakfast or get lounge access - would rather head out to eat. They provided cute, toddler bathrobe, toothbrush and guest room slippers - which made my kid happy. I would also suggest to add much needed potty related accessories including a step up stool.
All good otherwise, will recommend.

AAnonymous UserEvery time I come for a staycation, the hotel lobby feels bright and comfortable, and the service is excellent. I'd especially like to commend a lovely lady from Malaysia named ”Evelyn.” She's not only beautiful but also very professional and well-mannered! As soon as I arrived, she had already reserved a room for me on the 19th floor. The room was comfortable and tidy, and the housekeeping staff was also fantastic. Every time they saw me return, they knew my preferences and would specially prepare extra items I needed in the room. It truly felt like home, very warm and inviting. The coffee and tea used in the room and lounge are also imported. As for the hotel's breakfast, its quality hasn't declined over the years; in fact, it's gone up a level! The variety is richer, and the taste is superb! The hotel also has many other facilities, including a Shanghai cuisine restaurant, a Western restaurant, and a Cantonese Chinese restaurant. There's also a gym. The hotel also has a very comfortable terrace, perfect for chatting and relaxing~ I highly recommend everyone come and experience it; you definitely won't be disappointed!

As a first-time visitor, he genuinely surprised me with his warm and patient assistance, even helping me send a package. Mark was incredibly patient and efficient throughout, helping me plan my Shanghai fashion shopping itinerary. With him around, I didn't have to worry about planning anything for my trip! Max's service was also excellent, helping me take photos. The Christmas decorations were absolutely stunning. I'll definitely look for them again on my next visit!

I've stayed at most of the five-star and luxury hotels around the Bund, and this one offers the best value for money. It was my parents' first time in Shanghai, and I booked them a Pearl Room, which they were very satisfied with. The breakfast was also very rich and plentiful.

2212383****Cons: The room facilities and carpet are very old. You have to shower in a bathtub with a curtain that looks like something out of a horror movie. Breakfast on weekends is crowded and unappetizing. The building directly opposite Jing'an Temple is under renovation, and piling machines start as early as 7:30 AM, which is very noisy. The sound insulation in the room is poor; I could even hear the hairdryer next door. For takeout, you have to go outside the hotel entrance to pick it up.
Pros: The hotel's location is excellent, and the hot springs and sauna facilities are comfortable. The rooms are quite spacious.
