"What a nice courtyard and hotel, we had a great stay here! Our room was huge and full of beautiful details, a bit like living in an old Chinese palace but still being in a modern comfortable hotel room with a big comfy bed. Women in hanfu costumes come to have their pictures taken because the building is so nice. It's a bit of a walk to the happening centres but very quiet, beside the amazing city wall, not far from the west gate with restaurants (or grab an electric taxi bus). The staff was very nice and we loved a free dropoff to the station in the end, also some local vinegar that we'll enjoy over the coming months, thanks a lot! One single recommendation only, being able to order even just a very simple breakfast snack would have made it perfect!"

"My stay at this hotel was wonderful. The room was absolutely beautiful and allowed me to experience the authentic atmosphere of traditional China. It was thoughtfully divided into a living area and a sleeping area, making it both spacious and comfortable. The elegant furniture, decorations, and sculptures added a unique charm to the room. The bathroom was excellent as well, featuring both a bathtub and a separate shower. The staff at the reception spoke English very well, making communication easy throughout my stay. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the main attractions of beautiful Pingyao. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and authentic stay in the heart of the city."

"The hotel is very pictoresque in the ancient Pingyao city. They organized also transfer from/to railway station, very comfortable. Breakfast buffet (Chinese) was good. I think the best of the hotel is the location and room “ancient” style. I would recommend it for sure!"

"We just left this amazing place and already want to come back. The hotel itself could not be located more conveniently - directly in the Ancient town but very close to the New Dongmen exit which makes it super easy to access the road where you can take a cab from, a few minutes walking distance from the South Gate and surrounded by plenty of great restaurants. The young couple who run the hotel are excellent hosts, kind, pleasant and super helpful. Thank you for everything. Highly recommended place."

"Hands down our favorite hotel experience in all of China - beautiful property and fantastic customer service. The hotel is beautiful with two picturesque traditional courtyards, while the rooms are modern, well equipped and sparkling clean. The hotel is in a great location and only a very short walk away from all the main attractions. Because the hotel doesn't directly face a big street, it's also very quiet all day and night which is a big plus! Our favorite was the incredible customer service, once again the best we've experienced in China. The staff was extremely helpful in picking us up and dropping us off at the train station. Throughout our stay, everyone was extremely kind, patient, and helpful in providing us with information and making our stay ever more comfortable. Also super responsive to our Wechat messages. An added bonus is that the hotel provided us with a free upgrade to a bigger room type, as well as a free breakfast. We ended up staying one night longer than planned because we liked this hotel and Pingyao so much! We will come back here on our next visit to Pingyao."

Yet, nestled in a narrow alleyway, it maintains its quaint character while offering a quiet retreat from the hubbub, allowing you to enjoy both sightseeing and relaxation. It's clear the owner puts a lot of thought into running this place, and the experience was excellent, offering great value for money. A special shout-out for the thoughtful disposable bath towels and hand towels in the room – very reassuring to use. A fantastic accommodation choice for Pingyao!"

"It was a very personal and comfortable experience during our 3-day stay in Pingyao. Lovely homestay run by a lovely family... Li Lingzhi is an excellent host and cook. Her attention to detail can be seen in every nook and corner of the house...They were very friendly and very helpful with organising transport and always helped out and gave great advice. The garden is an Oasis of silence..Property is located at the best location with proximity to some of the best spots. We can recommend that place a 100%!"

"The stay was amazing!! The service impecable, location superb and lovely room! The Inn is located on a very central road close to the gate to the ancient city. Even though its very central, the rooms are in a back garden so its very peacefull and quiet. The room was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable! They even have a small terrace with view of the skyline! But the best part was the service! The person working at the teception supported us with anything we asked, it felt like a piece of authentic chinese hospitality! I can only recommend this beautiful Inn to anyone visiting Pingyao!"
