GGuest UserThe room was cozy and comfortable, very clean inside, and equipped with smart facilities. The owner was incredibly warm, thoughtful, and attentive. The courtyard had an antique charm, and the lighting gave it the authentic feel of an ancient city. The hotel even provides branded toiletries. It's really close to all the main attractions, so you truly get the feeling of exploring the old city. Super convenient!

GGuest UserI've traveled to many places, and this stay was truly wonderful, exceeding my expectations. Even before we arrived, the owner's thoughtfulness impressed me. They added me on WeChat to communicate in advance, and when they learned we had an elderly person with mobility issues, they arranged a wheelchair for us, saving us a lot of trouble. I'm so grateful! 🙏 The room hygiene was impeccable; every nook and cranny was spotless. I'll let you in on a secret: the owner is a Virgo, haha! This is a guesthouse with warmth and a personal touch. Go for it, everyone!

EEcoopThis has been our favourite stay in china by far! The owner is so generous and patient despite our lack of Chinese language skills, he even brought us gifts and picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. The residence is also part of the Pingyao world heritage site, we really enjoyed seeing the similarities between fans residence and the buildings presented in the museums around Pingyao (this place has much comfier beds). The traditional Chinese breakfast was also amazing, with veges, steam buns and egg. It’s in a perfect location, out of the noise of the main streets but also an easy stroll to the lively parts of town. I will recommend Fanzhai to anyone that will listen 😁

LLaozuojFacilities: The room was beautiful, and the place was lovely too. I loved it the moment we arrived from the parking lot. The owners were incredibly helpful and easy to talk to; they're a very honest family. My husband and I just went downstairs for a quick meal and then drove five hours to Pingyao. It was so rushed; we hadn't planned anything. When we arrived, it started pouring rain. We went shopping in the rain without umbrellas or slippers—a unique experience! The guesthouse is located inside the ancient city, making it very convenient to get around. We even rented an electric scooter for 30 yuan a day—a great deal! Overall, a wonderful experience and a beautiful guesthouse.

GGuest UserReally nice place, but as for most hotels, you cannot expect the staff to speak English (not a problem for me, but if you don't speak any Chinese be prepared). Location is great as it is around 2 minutes walk from 南大街/South Street and all the main museums and courtyards. The owners were very friendly and helpful, making time to explain all the places to see and were to eat. They can even help with good discounts, e.g. for the historical-themed performance '又见平遥'/Encore Pingyao as well as for restaurants.
The hotel is in a beautiful traditional courtyard, very quiet area so you will sleep well at night. The room has traditional furniture, adding to the atmosphere, and while small (but good value for the price) was comfortable. The bed is a so-called 'kang' with heating - it was so comfortable in the cold winter that it was hard to get out of bed in the morning! Part of the floor has heating too. The cleanliness is good too. I would really recommend this place, very good atmosphere and with everything you need to be comfortable.

GGuest User這次平遙之行，非常榮幸選擇了榮耀民宿，雖然在古城外，但出行超方便，步行5-6分鐘就到古城入口，還免去了古城內交通管制的麻煩。房間乾淨又温馨，床品軟乎乎的，晚上一沾枕頭就睡着。民宿老闆是一名二十年的退役老兵，服務超熱情，不僅幫忙規劃路線，還推薦了很多本地人常去的小店，價格非常優惠才幾十塊錢，真的是物超所值。特別推薦大家可以入住體驗

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in Pingyao's Old City, very close to the Ancient Government tourist landmark. I found the level of service outstanding. Even though there was a language barrier they were always eager to help. I liked the courtyard and in the room I felt like I was sleeping in one of the museums I visited in Pingyao. Additional perks include free laundry and free transport to the train station. As a drawback, the wifi connection didn't work well for me. To sum up excellent value for money.

GGuest UserWe booked two rooms together. The owner helped us with our luggage at the entrance of the old town. Upon entering, he offered us homemade wine and vinegar to try, which we found quite nice. The rooms were nice, with a rest area on the first floor and a sleeping area on the second. I would definitely choose this place again next time I visit.

GGuest UserPersonally really good! The boss is very enthusiastic, and he can solve any problems, especially reliable. The price is not expensive and the price is quite high. The location is in the ancient city, it is convenient to go anywhere, the room is an old-fashioned building, very feeling. The most intimate thing is that you can also store your luggage, it is too convenient, in short, very satisfied!

MMartinThe host were nice and friendly. They speak no English but they use and app for basic translations. The room is good value for money. Modern and clean, with good architectural finishes. They don't provide towels, shampoo and so. No air conditioner either, thou I asked for a fan and they gave it to me and it was perfect like that. Location wasn't so easy to find, the access road can be either dusty or muddy depending on the weather.
It's about 15 minutes walk to the north gate of ancient Pingyao city wall. I would recommend specially to couples as it's the same price as for solo travellers. (I guess the price is per room) They didn't ask for a deposit as written in their policies, which is a plus. I attach a plan explaining how to best get there. Recommended.
