The most satisfying thing about this trip to Pingyao is Qichen B&B, which must be five-star praise! The hygiene completely exceeded expectations. The room was clean as soon as I entered the door. The bedding and bathroom were spotless. The details were in place. The bed was very large. It could accommodate 4 people. It was quiet and comfortable. There were welcome fruits. The washing machine was very clean. The boss provided laundry detergent. The boss is very kind and caring, communicate in advance the time to the station, take the initiative to drive to pick up, and send the station for free after the game, without tossing your luggage. I will also patiently explain the route of the ancient city, recommend local authentic snacks, and give a complete guide to avoid the pit. I also rode the boss's electric car, The small courtyard is quiet and has a sense of ancient city atmosphere, and there are two cute kittens. The boss also sent a souvenir. The service is intimate and real. The price is full. I will stay here in Pingyao next time!

The best experience in China! Perfect for family travelI traveled with my mother and my son, and this hotel made our trip to Pingyao truly unforgettable. It is the perfect place to live and feel what ancient China was like, but with all the modern comforts.The service is exceptional: they picked us up for free from the train station and, upon arrival, gave us a detailed breakdown of the tourist attractions using a map. As if that weren't enough, they gave us a free upgrade to a much more expensive room without charging us anything extra. It was an incredibly generous gesture.The hotel is extremely clean, the bedsheets are an absolute dream to rest on, and the air conditioning works wonderfully (which is vital when traveling with children and seniors). Additionally, they rented us an electric scooter at a super affordable price, which allowed us to explore the city with total comfort. It has a genuinely cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. We recommend it 100% for families!

The owner is incredibly kind. They messaged us before we even arrived, offering to pick us up from the North Gate of the ancient city. The room was also really nice, and for the price, it's excellent value for money. There's a sightseeing cart right outside that can take you anywhere in the ancient city, and it's also a pleasant, short walk back to the guesthouse. The owner patiently explained how to best explore the ancient city, and even gave us a bottle of vinegar when we checked out – truly wonderful! The courtyard is also very beautiful.

The guesthouse is a historic building, a two-courtyard siheyuan (traditional courtyard house), located behind the Ma Family Courtyard. We were busy taking photos as soon as we arrived. We stayed in the ”Children's Fun” room. Although it didn't have a separate wet and dry area, we loved its sunny location; seeing the sunlight streaming in in the morning was so vibrant. The owner was a very kind young man. Because we needed to use an old-fashioned lock when leaving the house, preventing others from entering, we asked him to deliver supplies to a small room in the first courtyard, which we picked up ourselves in the evening. The guesthouse originally only offered one pick-up or drop-off service, but the owner offered both, and even helped with our luggage. Very nice! Wishing him booming business!

The location is excellent and easy to find within the ancient city. It's not far from the main street of the ancient city after entering through Xiaonanmen. The owner has three courtyards, each with many small rooms. The air conditioning cools down quickly, and the room is well-stocked with amenities.

Very good experience. The owners are friendly and provide pick up at the gate entrance. Pretty courtyard and the owners shared a lot of information on where to eat / shop at. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse to those wanting to visit Pingyao.

We had such a lovely experience at Zhengjia Inn! It was a little hard to find initially but the location is exceptional, right in the heart of the ancient city of Pingyao. There was no one on reception when we arrived but we managed to call through the Trip.com app and they came out right away to help us check in. The hotel is gorgeous with a very traditional style, a lovely sunny courtyard and big rooms. The best part of our stay here was the hospitality of the family who run this hotel. They were so kind and generous! They annotated a map for us to show us where to go and how to get there, they made us a Western style breakfast in the morning and let us eat in their own home, and they very kindly drove us to the train station when we had to leave the next day. They were very friendly, kind and patient with us as we don't speak Mandarin. The bed was quite hard because it is a very thin mattress on top of wood so it might not suit people with bad backs, but it was fine for us! We would highly recommend this hotel!

I was very fortunate to choose Glory Homestay for my trip to Pingyao. Although it's outside the ancient city, it's incredibly convenient for getting around, just a 5-6 minute walk to the entrance, avoiding the hassle of traffic control within the ancient city. The room was clean and cozy, the bedding was so soft I fell asleep the moment my head hit the pillow. The owner is a 20-year veteran who was incredibly welcoming. He not only helped plan the route but also recommended many local favorites. The prices were very reasonable, only a few dozen yuan – truly excellent value for money. I highly recommend everyone stay here!

The room was beautiful; you could tell the owner had put a lot of thought into its design. Children and the elderly alike were very comfortable. It was great value for money, parking was convenient, and the owner was very welcoming. A perfect score!

The host were nice and friendly. They speak no English but they use and app for basic translations. The room is good value for money. Modern and clean, with good architectural finishes. They don't provide towels, shampoo and so. No air conditioner either, thou I asked for a fan and they gave it to me and it was perfect like that. Location wasn't so easy to find, the access road can be either dusty or muddy depending on the weather. It's about 15 minutes walk to the north gate of ancient Pingyao city wall. I would recommend specially to couples as it's the same price as for solo travellers. (I guess the price is per room) They didn't ask for a deposit as written in their policies, which is a plus. I attach a plan explaining how to best get there. Recommended.
