The location is unparalleled, right next to Pingyao's West Gate and adjacent to the 'Impression Pingyao' theater, making it incredibly convenient for catching a show and getting around. The hotel is connected to the Pingyao Restaurant, boasting high-end facilities. The room furnishings are exquisite, complete with a Dyson hairdryer, and the toiletries are also top-notch, ensuring an excellent stay. The staff's service was warm and attentive. They even upgraded us for free to a suite with an electric heated 'kang' bed. The room was spacious and comfortable, featuring a lovely tea set – perfect for relaxing with a cup of tea. They provided thoughtful pick-up and drop-off service throughout our stay, with heartwarming details at every turn. Upon check-out, they even gave us a complimentary specialty Pingyao lacquerware souvenir. Their sincerity was evident, and the value for money was outstanding. This is definitely our top choice for accommodation when visiting Pingyao! There's also an older establishment inside the ancient city called Qigongguan, which is very antique and well-maintained. However, for comfort, Molan is still superior.

The room was spotless, and the hotel's courtyard was perfect for photos. It was my first time sleeping on a 'kang' (heated bed), and it felt like one bed could easily fit 7 or 8 people! My daughter devoured all the snacks in the complimentary fruit platter before we even fully checked in. Breakfast was also a pleasant surprise – very refined and beautifully presented. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.

For accommodation in Pingyao Ancient City, seriously, just book Chengfu JinYuan! It's a courtyard transformed from an old Jin merchant's mansion, full of ancient charm yet not outdated. The courtyard scenery is absolutely picturesque, offering tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle, guaranteeing a super peaceful night's sleep. The location is truly unbeatable – very close to the main street, making it easy to go out and explore, yet far enough from the noise when you return to the courtyard. The rooms are spotless, the bedding is soft, and the bathroom facilities are clean and functional, ensuring maximum comfort. I have to specifically praise the service; it was attentive and considerate throughout, without being intrusive. When guests were dining, they would proactively offer appropriate utensils and even brought warm millet porridge – these small details truly warmed my heart. They also provided travel routes for outings and offered pickup/drop-off services upon arrival. It's not overly commercialized, full of human warmth. Staying here in Pingyao is an absolute no-brainer; I'll definitely choose this place for my next trip! The beef noodles are incredibly delicious.

A pleasant family-run homestay near the northern gate of Pingyao Old Town, in a quieter area away from the main crowds. The hosts are very kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful, offering a warm and personal welcome. The complimentary transfer to and from the train station is very convenient, and small gestures like offering fruits, snacks and local vinegar as farewell gift add a thoughtful touch. The room is spacious, rather clean, and well-equipped, with modern amenities and even some smart home features. The bed is comfortable, although the bedding presentation could be improved slightly (ironed). There are also a couple of minor details—such as the bathtub not being firmly fixed—that could benefit from a bit more attention to ensure the safety. Breakfast is simple and local in style, which many may appreciate for its authenticity, though it is relatively basic. Overall, this homestay offers a comfortable and welcoming stay with a lot of potential. With a little more attention to finishing details and consistency, it could easily become an excellent choice for visitors.

Round-trip shuttle service: The round-trip shuttle service can be booked in advance, which is very convenient.

Had a fantastic experience. The hotel is centrally located on West Street in the ancient city, making it easy to walk to all the attractions. It's an authentic Qijin Jin merchant compound, brimming with traditional architectural charm. At night, the lanterns create an incredible ambiance, and every corner of the courtyard is perfect for photos. The room was clean and tidy, and the traditional heated bed (kang) was spacious and comfortable. The staff were attentive and thoughtful. After check-in, we could communicate via WeChat for any needs, and they even recommended sightseeing routes, helped book 'Again Pingyao' tickets, and arranged transportation and a tour guide. The breakfast featured delicious and warm local specialty noodles. Staying in an old residence like this offers a unique charm, and it's definitely a worthwhile choice when visiting Pingyao.

Extremely satisfied! Staying right inside the ancient city made it incredibly convenient to get everywhere. The owner was super helpful, answering all our questions and providing very detailed information. As soon as you walked in, you could see clothing racks and a makeup area. Lots of people were trying on headpieces and picking out clothes – it was really popular. Our room upstairs had two beds. The bathroom was quite clean and very well-organized, and it even came with disposable toiletries. When we opened the curtains, we had a view of the inner courtyard – it's actually a traditional two-section building. The view outside was simply beautiful! Staying in the ancient city was truly the right decision.
