Xingshengjiu Courtyard Hotel

The exterior is in the style of ancient Pingyao architecture, while the room interiors are equipped with modern amenities. Lights and curtains are voice-controlled by Xiaodu. I had a bit of trouble with the projector, couldn't get it to focus clearly, and couldn't find the manual. The service was excellent. After picking us up from the North Gate, the staff member helped with our luggage and enthusiastically explained all the room features and nearby attractions. The hotel is also very close to the main street, just a short walk away. One evening, when the front desk wasn't busy, they even offered to drive us to dinner. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The room was spotless, and the service was excellent. We had arranged for a pick-up from the high-speed train station in advance, and the staff member helped us with travel tips throughout the journey. They were very patient and answered all our questions without any signs of annoyance. They even gave us many helpful suggestions since we were traveling with a child. Overall, although it was a bit pricey, it was definitely worth it!

I was a bit hesitant when booking this hotel, as some guesthouses near attractions can be unhygienic and noisy. However, my stay this time was absolutely perfect. First, on the day of check-in, the hotel called multiple times to confirm my high-speed train schedule and provided a high-end business car for pick-up. The driver was very polite and professional. At check-in, the front desk attendant was incredibly attentive and detailed, providing a thorough introduction to the scenic area's routes and key attractions. The room was newly renovated, very clean, and intelligently designed, with many thoughtful details. The breakfast was exquisite; the Shanxi-style noodles and the small dishes/snacks were delicious. The afternoon tea was also very thoughtfully prepared and delightful. From what I observed, this hotel is definitely high-end within the ancient city. The hotel's decor is stunning, with magnificent and ornately carved exteriors that exude a great atmosphere, and many details are done with excellent taste. A perfect travel experience stems from the attraction itself, but a heartfelt and wonderful hotel service experience makes the trip even more beautiful.

This is a great hotel, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Pingyao Ancient City. The shuttle service, front desk, and room service were all excellent. The bed and shower in the room were also very comfortable. Directly across from the hotel is a makeup and styling shop, so you don't have to wander around; you can get your styling done and then take photos right there, saving a lot of energy. The afternoon tea area requires walking past the front desk to the adjacent coffee shop. If the front desk staff hadn't reminded me, I would have had a hard time finding it. A sign would be helpful. The afternoon tea came with watermelon and cherry tomatoes, adding a refreshing taste and coolness to a hot and tiring trip. They even gave me a thoughtful souvenir when I checked out. ❤️

The room was excellent for a stay within the ancient city. After parking at the North Gate, a shuttle picked us up and took us directly to the hotel. The staff were all very enthusiastic. When we checked out, we left our luggage at the front desk. We later changed our plans and couldn't pick it up ourselves, so the staff thoughtfully delivered it to the North Gate parking lot using an electric cart and even gave us a small gift. It was a really kind gesture.

The room facilities were good, and the cleanliness was well maintained. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Pingyao Ancient City's pedestrian street, but it's not far at all, just a 5-minute walk. The service was a mixed bag. On the positive side, requests were responded to quickly after check-in. However, there's room for improvement regarding the pickup service. Since private vehicles aren't allowed inside Pingyao Ancient City, our hired car dropped us off at a certain gate. I called the hotel front desk in advance to inform them, but they told me I needed to go to a different gate to be picked up. I found this baffling. As tourists, we don't know which gate is closer to the hotel. And it's odd that as guests, we weren't picked up at our specified gate; instead, the hotel required us to go to a designated gate for pickup. It made me wonder, who is serving whom?

Great location, just a left turn out the door and you're in the heart of everything. The room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped, making for a very comfortable stay. The front desk and staff were all super friendly and helpful, answering all our questions. They even offered to help with our luggage and recommended local restaurants. The service was very attentive. The only minor point is that the breakfast selection was a bit limited.

The room decor is retro and stylish, with good soundproofing and new facilities. Overall, I had a very satisfying experience.
