Pet Friendly Hotels in Pingyao County

The best decision we made for our family trip to Pingyao was booking this guesthouse. The owner was incredibly welcoming; they contacted us the day before our arrival to provide parking information and patiently answered all our questions. They even helped us with our luggage both at check-in and check-out, which was really thoughtful. We also got a discount on tickets for 'See Pingyao' by booking through them, and thanks to the owner, we even got a better discount at Hongwuji restaurant than what was offered on Dianping. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the ancient city, making it super convenient for dining and sightseeing. What truly impressed us were the well-equipped rooms. Watching a movie together on the projector TV in the evening was such a cozy experience. The bedding was so comfortable; it was the best night's sleep we had during our entire Shanxi trip. Unfortunately, our time was too short. Pingyao really deserves a two-night stay, and we'll definitely book here again next time!

Located at the intersection of three main streets (east, west, and south), getting around is incredibly convenient. The surrounding area is packed with great food and major attractions. It's a two-entry, independent courtyard house with clean rooms that are full of Shanxi charm. Most importantly, the front desk lady provided thoughtful and attentive service, which was absolutely fantastic! 👍 She even picked me up from the train station for free!

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in October, with my friends who booked separate rooms. We had a free transfer from and to the train station which was very handy. The room was clean and very modern looking, with a smart kettle platform (you need to tap twice on the kettle icon to activate it and boil water - it wasn't written anywhere). The receptionist gave us tips about shopping and also shared his own tea with us, so lovely! The only thing I would like to improve is a Wifi coverage, somehow inside the room it was always saying 'no data connection' despite showing the strongest signal. And the other Wifi they set up for me worked only outside of the room, so I would need to open the door each time I wanted a signal. But I had mobile internet as well so I survived. Just a warning: I think it's unprofessional to play video games without headphones when customers approach you, but maybe the staff's paycheque is low and the manners are not deeply rooted. It just looked unusual to me, because in my country you can lose your job if you behave this way.

The guesthouse is a historic building, a two-courtyard siheyuan (traditional courtyard house), located behind the Ma Family Courtyard. We were busy taking photos as soon as we arrived. We stayed in the ”Children's Fun” room. Although it didn't have a separate wet and dry area, we loved its sunny location; seeing the sunlight streaming in in the morning was so vibrant. The owner was a very kind young man. Because we needed to use an old-fashioned lock when leaving the house, preventing others from entering, we asked him to deliver supplies to a small room in the first courtyard, which we picked up ourselves in the evening. The guesthouse originally only offered one pick-up or drop-off service, but the owner offered both, and even helped with our luggage. Very nice! Wishing him booming business!

We had a wonderful stay. Great location, close enough to all the historic sites and restaurants, but still very peaceful. Our host could not be more helpful, she helped us plan our sightseeing and provided extras like a streamer for our clothes when requested. We had a delicious breakfast every morning, with as much to eat as we wanted. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and decorated beautifully. We would not hesitate to re-book if we were to return to Pingyao.

We had a lovely stay here in Pingyao. The hotel was utmost welcoming and kind, starting with preliminary information, a free pick-up up from the train station, a suggested sightseeing tour route with the most relevant sights in the ancient city, and a restaurant recommendation. Beyond that, they served free light breakfast and helped us in every aspect we asked for. Highly recommend to stay in this property in this ancient location.

Very good experience. The owners are friendly and provide pick up at the gate entrance. Pretty courtyard and the owners shared a lot of information on where to eat / shop at. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse to those wanting to visit Pingyao.

The rooms are elegantly antique, nestled within a traditional three-courtyard complex. Its location is superb, very close to the bustling commercial center. The service is excellent, offering convenient pick-up and drop-off. On the day I left for the high-speed rail, at 6:10 AM, the owner had already arranged a car for me. They also offer professional photography services right on-site.

Very satisfied with this stay! The room is clean and comfortable, the layout is very warm, the facilities are complete and modern, especially the bedding is soft and sleeps very well. The surrounding transportation is convenient, and the nearby food supermarket is all available. The landlord was warm and thoughtful, responded quickly to the message, and solved the problem immediately. The price is super high.

Superb! The front desk service and the staff who showed us to our room were incredibly warm and helpful, offering fantastic tips for exploring. Our room was spotless, the bedding was super comfy, and the 'kang' (heated bed) was huge – big enough for five! They even helped us arrange a private car and a really professional tour guide. The food recommendations were divine, and the restaurants near the hotel were also delicious. The location is perfect, making it easy to get in and out of the city. What really sets this place apart is that it's the only guesthouse within the ancient city walls with a grand seven-courtyard layout, very impressive! Even celebrities have stayed here and loved it. The in-house photo shoot service was also a nice touch! Breakfast was excellent, especially the handmade noodles – we each had two bowls! Overall, our entire family was extremely satisfied. An absolutely fantastic stay! 👍👍
