"The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, clean, and the service was incredibly welcoming. Even before we arrived, the driver contacted us to arrange pick-up, making the entire journey smooth and comfortable. They thoughtfully explained the layout of Pingyao Ancient City and provided travel tips. The breakfast was also good, and they even treated us to some of their homemade vinegar! Overall, a great experience!"

"It was a wonderful stay! :) The owners are a lovely family—very kind, helpful, and always happy to give advice and recommendations. The courtyard is magical, and the room was clean and free of any cigarette smell. The room had soap, shampoo, a hairdryer, a kettle, air conditioning, towels, slippers, and even earplugs (which are actually very useful, because many Chinese tourists don't seem to believe in gently closing doors with the handle—they slam them as if a war had just broken out). Sleeping in such a beautifully traditional setting was an experience in itself. I would have happily stayed longer. A note for European travelers: remember that this is a small hotel by Chinese standards. Don't be disappointed if the lanterns are made of plastic or if some of the decorations in the courtyard are a little dusty. None of that takes away from the charm of the place. I highly recommend staying here for at least two nights."

"My experience staying at this hotel as below. 1. They provide pickup and drop off from the train station. The day before the Inn contacted me to make arrangement for the pickup. Then they arranged to drive me back to station on the day I leave. Service was efficient and prompt. Much appreciated. 2. I was able to use the washing machine to wash come clothes which was much needed. Comb and toiletries were provided. So grateful for these little necessities as I left mine at the previous hotel. 3. The boss upgraded me to a bigger and better room because it was the low season. The kang bed was so comfortable and firm. I had the best sleep so far at this Inn. I'm so happy. 4. The Inn is inside the old city and practically next to one of the city gates. Very convenient for sightseeing old Pingyao city. 5. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Boss also gave me a bottle of vinegar. Wish I could take it back to UK with me. 6. The price of this Inn is also very reasonable and affordable. 7. Pingyao is a beautiful, ancient old city. Worth coming. I highly recommend staying here. "The owner is handsome and reliable! They offer luggage pickup and drop-off service right at the scenic spot's entrance, so I arrived with an empty suitcase and left with it full. The owner even provided a map of the scenic area 🗺️, helped plan a route to avoid tourist traps, recommended great food, and shared where to get free gifts 🎁. Before I left, he even gave me two bottles of Shanxi aged vinegar, hahaha. Oh, and the absolute best part was the room! It was so comfortable and clean, with an antique, charming decor that created a wonderful atmosphere. There were no strange odors, just a faint, pleasant sandalwood and pine scent. The king-size bed was so big, we couldn't even find each other at night! 🤣🤣🤣 Definitely no accidental kicks. The air conditioning was quiet and cool, and the room had excellent soundproofing, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep without any disturbance from other guests. I slept soundly until morning. I booked the canopy king room, which had such a lovely vibe, hahaha. My experience was 100% perfect. Next time, I'll definitely take more pictures of the room. This isn't a paid ad, I'm just genuinely happy with my stay, hahahaha! 📸 The inn's location is also super convenient. It's right in the heart of the scenic area's main attractions, lively and easy to get around without unnecessary walking. Ha, I really know how to pick a guesthouse! Hahaha, I've been praised and told this stay was super satisfying. P.S. No need to bring your own kettle, folks! The guesthouse has high-quality kettles that definitely haven't been used for other purposes~ 😂😂😂"

It was especially thoughtful that they pre-cooled the millet porridge for breakfast, which was not only ample but also nutritious. The hotel is very close to the bustling South Street, making it super convenient for aurora viewing. For every aspect, this is the top choice. Highly recommended!"

It has all the essentials and is very clean. The mattress was comfortable. Of course, it can't compare to high-end or luxury hotels. Its main advantage is its excellent location; it's very convenient for exploring, and you can easily pop back for a rest when you get tired. **Service:** The staff were very service-oriented. When we arrived, there weren't many guests, and the service was very attentive. **Breakfast:** It's not a buffet; it's a fixed-menu breakfast, like a 'nine-grid' style. It looks very appealing, and the taste is decent enough to fill you up. Overall, it's a good stay. Naturally, for this price point within the ancient city, you shouldn't compare it to hotels of the same price outside. It's incomparable, primarily due to its superb geographical advantage."
