"The B&B is located within the ancient city walls, ideally situated just a hundred meters walk from the bustling Nanda Street. Despite its central location, it's surprisingly quiet, which really helped improve my sleep quality.
The facilities are quite complete and have a charming, antique aesthetic. For those driving, there's a dedicated parking lot outside the ancient city, which is very convenient.
The room was spacious, clean, and tidy.
The owner was incredibly welcoming, offering to help with luggage and providing great recommendations for routes and activities. They were very responsive to all our needs – excellent service! Overall, it's a highly recommended B&B in the ancient city with great value for money."

"I stayed at the Tingbo Hotel, and the location is absolutely fantastic, right at the entrance of the scenic area. You can step out and start exploring immediately, which is incredibly convenient. The room was spotless, so clean you could see your reflection, and the bed was super soft – I woke up feeling completely refreshed. The front desk staff were wonderful, always patiently answering my questions, truly thoughtful. I especially loved the hotel's decor style; it's very unique. Every corner is meticulously arranged and looks amazing in photos. Plus, the hotel service was excellent; it was such a pleasant stay. The value for money at this hotel is incredible. The price wasn't expensive, but the service and facilities were outstanding. It felt like a great deal. The hotel is clean, and its location near the north gate of the ancient city means you can walk everywhere, which is very convenient. I'll definitely come back next time."

The owners are lovely and very friendly and helpful and provided detailed information on the town. They provided a pick up from the station, which is really nice. It's very peaceful and quite and I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend staying here.

AallensiThis guesthouse is located right inside Pingyao Ancient City, and you can see the bustling main street just by turning right out the door – super convenient! The courtyard is designed in the traditional Shanxi folk style, and they even have several vats of their own homemade wine and various flavored vinegars for guests to sample. The rooms are well-equipped, clean, and comfortable. They offer pick-up and drop-off service from the parking lot outside the ancient city for both check-in and check-out. The young lady at the front desk even gave us tour recommendations, which was very thoughtful and detailed. The young man working at the guesthouse helped us with our luggage throughout our stay, and we even received a parting gift when we checked out. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserDuring the Chinese New Year, I decided to visit the renowned Pingyao Ancient City and carefully chose the Yushe Boutique Hotel. The day before our arrival, someone from the hotel contacted us to offer a pick-up service and even sent us a detailed list of suggestions for exploring the ancient city – truly thoughtful! The owner's sister, who picked us up, meticulously introduced us to the history of the ancient city and current conditions over the next two days. Upon arrival, the owner's brother was equally thorough, demonstrating the diligent character typical of Shanxi people! Our family of four's room was impeccable in terms of space, cleanliness, and bedding. Later, chatting with the owner, I learned they operate with the quality standards of Atour Hotels, which explained why the sleep was so comfortable.
One evening, the water pressure for the kids' shower was a bit low. The next morning, I spoke to the owner's brother, who explained it was due to the high volume of tourists in the ancient city causing low water pressure. They later installed a booster pump and resolved the issue!
Finally, before leaving, we bought some wine and vinegar from the owner after tasting them all – they were delicious. And to top it off, the owner kindly drove us to the train station! Many, many thanks!

The owner speaks good English and provides you with a map and details of beautiful Pingyao’s must see local attractions. The hotel is quiet and the Chinese breakfasts with either tea or coffee are delicious. The owner can also organise a good driver for any out of town excursions. Highly recommended

GGuest UserI have been to Pingyao several times. This time I brought the kids with me. This time I had to stay in an inn on the main street. It was very easy to find. I used to live in a small alley where there were no street lights at night. This inn was too close to the next gate. After parking the car, it only took a few minutes to get there. The owner was also very talkative. He introduced us the itinerary for the ancient city and helped us avoid many pitfalls. The room is well-arranged, very clean and has direct drinking water. There is a travel photography shop above the store, which is also owned by his family. He gave a great discount. I will stay at his house next time. I wish the boss a prosperous business!

What really made our stay unforgettable, though, was the host. Their outstanding kindness, hospitality, and constant availability went above and beyond. You can easily walk to attractions like the County Government Office and Rishengchang Exchange Shop, making exploring the old town incredibly convenient. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the back courtyard provides a peaceful and private escape. The butler service is exceptional – attentive and thoughtful. They offer free pick-up and drop-off, help plan your itinerary, and ensure a worry-free and comfortable stay. It's incredibly good value for money. If you're coming to Pingyao, Yundingxuan is my top recommendation!

HHuotouyuA wonderful inn nestled in a tranquil location amidst the bustle of the city. From the initial pick-up and parking arrangements to the final departure, there was not a single unpleasant experience; they were incredibly attentive, helpful, and meticulous. The inn is elegant, clean, and tidy. The staff are friendly, patient, and responsive. The aroma of freshly baked bread fills the air daily, and the Chinese and Western breakfasts are cooked to order. While the variety isn't extensive, every bite is satisfying, especially the bowl of beef noodles, which is incredibly good! The room's simple and elegant decor perfectly reflects the ancient city's style. No matter how exhausted you are from exploring, returning to the courtyard provides a truly relaxing and tranquil experience. Overall, it was a truly wonderful two-day stay. I'd especially like to thank Ms. Dong Yanxia (I think that's her name) for her patient, meticulous, and attentive service, which has left me and my family with wonderful memories of this holiday!

We arrived late by high-speed train, and the owner drove directly to the station to pick us up. All the restaurants in the ancient city were closed, so the owner lent us his electric tricycle to go eat outside the city. Riding that little vehicle through the ancient city at night was truly a special experience, haha.
As for the room, it had everything we needed, and the underfloor heating kept it very warm. The large kang bed was quite unique, and even the mouthwash cups were disposable. Since it was the off-season, the owner even upgraded our room. Although the wallpaper was a bit peeling, it didn't affect our stay at all.
Moreover, right outside the inn is the owner's own travel photography studio. I'm so glad I didn't book one of those trendy shops recommended online in advance. The photo shoot here was absolutely fantastic 💖. The makeup artist was very gentle and recommended suitable hairstyles and makeup based on my face shape. I loved the photos, and there was absolutely no pressure during the selection process – completely voluntary.
A perfect ancient city experience, I'll definitely recommend it to my friends!
