Hotels with balcony in Pingyao County

We had an excellent stay at this small, atmospheric hotel near the south gate of Pingyao Ancient City. The hotel is set in a beautiful, old courtyard house which is completely private and quiet. Our rooms were comfortable and large, and everything was in good working order. Value was excellent. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, and picked us up from the railway station. The location puts a little bit of distance between you and the most crowded tourist streets of Pingyao, which can be a blessing. I would not hesistate to recommend this hotel to independent travellers.

We had an amazing time as a family of 4. Got a 2-bedroom suite and had a lot of space during our 4-day stay. The room and facilities were sparking clean. Going in February, I was a little worried about the cold weather as it can get below freezing, but each room had individual AC / heating units as well as heated floors. The heating worked wonderfully, and it was almost too hot, and we had to turn the heat down. The location is perfect - just a block away from the main street, ensuring it's close enough to everything yet away from the nightly street noise. But above all was the hospitality of the owner and his family! They provided great breakfast each morning, responded to all our inquiries, showed best points of interest on a map, helped with parking, offered plenty of treats to our kids and gave them some sparklers for Chinese New Year's celebrations. Definitely above and beyond expectations. We 100% recommend staying here!

The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, clean, and the service was incredibly welcoming. Even before we arrived, the driver contacted us to arrange pick-up, making the entire journey smooth and comfortable. They thoughtfully explained the layout of Pingyao Ancient City and provided travel tips. The breakfast was also good, and they even treated us to some of their homemade vinegar! Overall, a great experience!

The room was clean, tidy, and modern, fully equipped with everything you could need. It offered excellent value for money and a great location. There's a dedicated shuttle service for both check-in and check-out that takes you directly to the hotel. After a 5-minute walk down a small alley, you're right on the bustling South Street, making it a perfectly quiet retreat amidst the action. The hotel is very high-class, the bedding is incredibly comfortable, and they even offered a clothing experience. The front desk staff and all the other employees were incredibly friendly. Plus, there was free afternoon tea, fruit, and a complimentary souvenir. Overall, it's the most satisfying hotel we've stayed at recently 😊😊.

Very good experience. The owners are friendly and provide pick up at the gate entrance. Pretty courtyard and the owners shared a lot of information on where to eat / shop at. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse to those wanting to visit Pingyao.

I stayed at the Tingbo Hotel, and the location is absolutely fantastic, right at the entrance of the scenic area. You can step out and start exploring immediately, which is incredibly convenient. The room was spotless, so clean you could see your reflection, and the bed was super soft – I woke up feeling completely refreshed. The front desk staff were wonderful, always patiently answering my questions, truly thoughtful. I especially loved the hotel's decor style; it's very unique. Every corner is meticulously arranged and looks amazing in photos. Plus, the hotel service was excellent; it was such a pleasant stay. The value for money at this hotel is incredible. The price wasn't expensive, but the service and facilities were outstanding. It felt like a great deal. The hotel is clean, and its location near the north gate of the ancient city means you can walk everywhere, which is very convenient. I'll definitely come back next time.

This charming, old-fashioned courtyard is a peaceful oasis right in the heart of the old city, yet still very close to the bustling pedestrian street. The owner is incredibly genuine and offers fantastic service. They even arranged car transfers to and from the high-speed train station, which was a huge plus. It was a wonderful stay! I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit and will recommend it to my friends.

The location is excellent, within walking distance of all the attractions. The owner was warm and attentive, always quick to respond to any issues. We had a relaxing and comfortable stay, truly immersing ourselves in the ancient city's charm. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Pingyao. Excellent location, convenient for shopping and dining. A wonderful inn nestled in a tranquil location amidst the bustle of the city. From the initial pick-up and parking arrangements to the final departure, there was not a single unpleasant experience; they were incredibly attentive, helpful, and meticulous. The inn is elegant, clean, and tidy. The staff are friendly, patient, and responsive. The aroma of freshly baked bread fills the air daily, and the Chinese and Western breakfasts are cooked to order. While the variety isn't extensive, every bite is satisfying, especially the bowl of beef noodles, which is incredibly good! The room's simple and elegant decor perfectly reflects the ancient city's style. No matter how exhausted you are from exploring, returning to the courtyard provides a truly relaxing and tranquil experience. Overall, it was a truly wonderful two-day stay. I'd especially like to thank Ms. Dong Yanxia (I think that's her name) for her patient, meticulous, and attentive service, which has left me and my family with wonderful memories of this holiday!
