As soon as you enter the courtyard, you will see a very exquisite courtyard, which is clean and tidy. The courtyard is particularly quiet. When you enter the room, there is a very wide sofa area, which is very comfortable for watching TV. The space is indeed larger than the standard rooms in other houses in the ancient city. The store lady specially made the bed in the standard room much wider. It is very comfortable for one person to sleep on, and two people can sleep without feeling the space is tight. This detail is really great, I love it. I'm really attracted by her toiletries, they are so easy to use and I really like them. Her home is an ancient courtyard from the Qing Dynasty.

Hygiene: Superb! Very clean, no smoke or strange odors, just a slight woody scent. Welcome Fruit: Absolutely delicious! I had plums, watermelon, cantaloupe, dragon fruit, and even lychees! That was a delightful surprise. 24/7 Butler Service: Truly exceptional and thoughtful. They offer pick-up and drop-off, and you just tell the butler what you need. The butler also advised on how to explore the area and even gave us many restaurant discount vouchers! Ambiance: Very beautiful! I think I forgot to take photos, but the courtyard environment is lovely! The room's ambiance is also excellent 👍. Facilities: Very comprehensive! There's even a washing machine, which is fantastic.

It was just an absolutely amazing experience from the very beginning and until the very end of our stay, not even just in the hotel, but in the city of Pingyao itself in general. Me and my friend are traveling very light and without guides, and in Pingyao we had only one day: from evening to evening of the next day. Huge huge thanks to everyone who made this day unforgettable and ultimately comfortable for tired us: Alice, Helen, Fenny, Hana, and all others who was there for us. The hotel service is simply excellent: as soon as they learned about our late arrival, they immediately offered to meet us at the railway station, which was absolutely the sweetest thing. They brought us to the city gate, met us there, and walked us to the hotel. There they gave us a map, on which they explained in great detail where everything is, what is worth paying attention to, how it is better to build the route, and what opening hours different sights have. They also helped us organize a private transfer to Shaolin Temple the next morning. It was just perfect: we got there in 15 minutes instead of one and a half hours by foot, and after our walk in the temple they met us and brought us back. Also on the evening of arrival they helped us immediately buy the ticket for visiting all attractions of the city, valid for three days. And also they advised us where to eat, and gave us a hotel discount in both places. We did not regret it even once, the food was amazingly delicious in both places! The hotel itself is just wonderful: it really looks exactly like in the photos. You want to photograph every corner and record how the sparrows are chirping on the roof, and how two wonderful cats are meowing. The room also matches and even exceeds expectations. A huge kang bed, very comfortable. Excellent shower with everything needed. Breakfast is included in the stay: the traditional Chinese one was very tasty! Unfortunately, we did not manage to eat the egg, it was freshly boiled and still hot, but we were hurrying to Shaolin Temple by opening time. Also the hotel has a laundry service, and special thanks for that too! Washing and drying were very fast, and we got our nicely smelling clothes back already after four hours, which was critical for us, because we were leaving the same day. We felt like we really were honored guests, and we really appreciated it, even if only for one day.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in October, with my friends who booked separate rooms. We had a free transfer from and to the train station which was very handy. The room was clean and very modern looking, with a smart kettle platform (you need to tap twice on the kettle icon to activate it and boil water - it wasn't written anywhere). The receptionist gave us tips about shopping and also shared his own tea with us, so lovely! The only thing I would like to improve is a Wifi coverage, somehow inside the room it was always saying 'no data connection' despite showing the strongest signal. And the other Wifi they set up for me worked only outside of the room, so I would need to open the door each time I wanted a signal. But I had mobile internet as well so I survived. Just a warning: I think it's unprofessional to play video games without headphones when customers approach you, but maybe the staff's paycheque is low and the manners are not deeply rooted. It just looked unusual to me, because in my country you can lose your job if you behave this way.

It's strange why this room type has been taken off the platform, because it's truly fantastic! The room is very spacious, with a private courtyard outside, and the interior layout is exceptionally well-designed. One minor downside is that the main bed is directly beneath a ceiling beam, so if that bothers you, you might want to choose a different room type. The hotel itself is incredibly large and has a fantastic atmosphere, often used as a photography location. While there are many people taking pictures during the day, the South Garden is outside the shooting area, so it remains wonderfully quiet. Because I was short on time, I directly chose the hotel's partner photography studio. It was super convenient for hotel guests to get their makeup done right at the front desk. Ms. Xiao Qiao, who did my makeup and styling, was so gentle and meticulous – I absolutely adored her! You can tell her you don't want the typical 'influencer' look, and she'll create something incredibly beautiful! The actual photoshoot felt a little bit like an assembly line, but that's probably unavoidable. However, if you're thinking of family photos, I'd suggest boys skip it, as the clothing options for them are limited and might not fit properly. But for little girls, go for it without a second thought!

Exceptional Service and State-of-the-Art Facilities ! ”I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The experience started perfectly with a complimentary pickup service at the train station, where the staff was waiting for me with a welcome sign. The hotel owner is incredibly kind and thoughtful, even lending me a portable translator to help with my communication during the trip. The room is very modern and equipped with high-tech facilities. The bed is soft and comfortable, and the air conditioning system works perfectly for both heating and cooling. I was particularly impressed by the in-room water dispenser (both hot and cold water) and the massive projector screen which provided great entertainment. The breakfast was delicious, served in a beautifully presented set. Every detail was taken care of with heart. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and hospitable stay!”

A very charming hotel, especially in the evening. The rooms are basic but clean. The owners are very kind and gave us lots of information and advice. A small note: the towels are disposable and a bit small. We were given a complimentary bottle of vinegar. Unfortunately, due to lack of time, we were unable to do the offered photo shoot.

The bed sheets and quilt covers are clean and tidy. The homestay is antique, the environment is simple and beautiful, and it is close to the main attractions of the ancient city. The boss is warm and considerate, and the service is thoughtful. It is more cost-effective to ask the boss to buy ”See Pingyao Again” on your behalf.

The hotel is in the ancient city. The car is parked in the public parking lot outside the ancient city. It needs to pay 20 yuan. The hotel cave-style room, the bed is sleeping, the room is not big, you need to bring your own bath towels and towels. Overall, they have their own yard. We were initially hesitant as we're worried the hotel may be ”too old”. But we were pleasantly surprised it was renovated to retain the ancient city look and feel. Love the room and the courtyards. It's even better than the ancient city itself. This hotel stay is a must for those seeking a complete and fulfilling stay in an ancient city. Room is extremely clean. We were at other international chain hotels during our tour, but none is as great as this hotel. My friend who is very ”sensitive” to ”presence” could not sleep well in other hotels, but could sleep very well in this hotel. The location is just a couple of steps off the main street of the ancient city. Same row as the famous ”bank”. Family runned. Lady boss and family are very fluent in English. So communication is not a problem. They're super friendly and helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended. For those who would like to venture out of the ancient city, do get their assistance to book a reliable and affordable driver to take you around. They even offer free costumes for you to dress up like Qing Dynasty ladies. FREE. A very big thank you to the lady boss for making our stay memorable and fun.
