GGuest UserThis hotel offers great value for money, and the breakfast spread is fantastic. They have complimentary drinks and beer every day. The Chinese staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's right next to the monorail but surprisingly quiet. The location is excellent, just off Kokusai Dori.

CCongma1203Extremely close to Kokusai Street, yet it's a quiet retreat. The staff at the entrance were always very friendly when we came and went. However, the front desk forgot to give us two breakfast vouchers during check-in, but luckily we noticed in time and they promptly provided them. Also, the room had sealed windows, which made the air circulation feel a bit poor, and the breakfast variety wasn't very extensive.

JJingaoxianshengFacilities: First off, the large public bath on the 13th floor of the hotel is fantastic in my opinion! It was so refreshing to come back every day and have a good soak.
Environment: Right outside, just across the pedestrian bridge, is the bus terminal, making it super convenient to get anywhere! Walk a little further and you'll reach the Asahibashi monorail station. Getting to Kokusai Street took about 10 minutes, so it was also very handy for buying souvenirs!

We stumbled upon Southwest Grand Hotel due to a last-minute flight change, and what a blessing in disguise it turned out to be! Our extra day in Okinawa became one of the most memorable parts of our trip—all thanks to this incredible hotel.

The room was modern, chic, and absolutely Instagram-worthy. I even turned it into a mini photo studio and captured some beautiful family portraits of my wife and our 3-month-old baby. My wife was over the moon with the results!

The breakfast spread was phenomenal—offering both Western and Japanese options, all bursting with flavor. The cheese selection and homemade yogurt with honey were standouts. Don’t miss them!

Overall, our experience at Southwest Grand Hotel was truly delightful. Even now—almost a month later—I can still recall every moment with vivid clarity. If it weren’t for the limited parking, I’d confidently call it Michelin-worthy! This hotel is an absolute hidden gem, and without a doubt, I’ll be staying here again on our next visit to Okinawa!

GGuest UserThis hotel is practically next door to Naha's Yui Rail Tsubogawa Station and pretty close to the airport. Given how infrequent and unreliable public buses are in Okinawa, staying right by a monorail station makes it super convenient for exploring Naha city. The room setup is pretty standard for a Mercure – comfortable enough, and it has a bathtub, which is a common feature in Japanese hotels. The facilities are a bit dated, though. Many Japanese hotels now offer self check-in, but here it's still done manually. My experience with the front desk was good; communication was easy with simple English. For check-out, I just used the express service, dropped the key card in the box, and that was it – no deposit needed.

GGuest UserFor me and my mum, the location is great! We are walkable distance to Miebashi station, Kokusai Dori. Bus stop in front of the hotel is super convenient to go to American Village and UNIQLO Ryubo Ameku Rakuichi (direct buses). A lot of local food options around. And if you do take up the whale watching tour, there's pickup near the hotel. It's easy to navigate the streets to the hotel. What I'm not used to is the fact that the reception is on the 17th floor (rooftop) and extra amenities you need, you have to head up to get it.

GGuest UserThe stay at this hotel was fantastic! The staff's service attitude was particularly impressive—they warmly greeted us every time we came and went, which felt very welcoming. The hotel also offers complimentary luggage storage, which is incredibly thoughtful. The location is great too—it's less than a five-minute walk to the monorail station, making transportation super convenient. Right next door, there are two shopping malls—a DFS duty-free store and a shopping mall popular with locals. Both are great for shopping. A special thank you to the entire team for their hospitality and for making our stay so pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel!

GGraceLcmWe arrived almost midnight after a long day, looking forward to a good rest. The room (Deluxe Twin) was okay and comfortable, nothing much to complain about.
However, the service was quite disappointing.
We booked a Deluxe Twin under one name and naturally expected breakfast for two persons. Upon check-in, we were told breakfast was only for one, and we had to top up more than ¥5,000 for the second person. That was quite a surprise.
What made it worse was the receptionist repeatedly making remarks in Japanese mentioning “Singaporean” during the conversation. Even if we didn’t fully understand everything, the tone and body language were uncomfortable and unnecessary.
After a long journey, you really hope for warm hospitality — unfortunately, this was not the experience we had.

Family Mart is 1 minute and 3 minutes away. Tsushi Mart is small, but they have homemade rice and lunch boxes, and it's Okinawa-like. Aeon Value Mart is also about 10 minutes away
There are many delicious restaurants, such as steak restaurants, nearby.
