"This grand old lady is just perfect when visiting ChiangMai. The hotel is in a great spot with shops and some street food, many cafes and beautiful shops. The breakfast is perfect for me, an Australian, it had all my favourites. The swimming pool is very clean and tested everyday. Ok, the bed was a little hard for me but the girls organised a topper for me. For the price this place is priceless, its so good I stayed there twice. The staff are the best they really looked after me, thankyou everyone 💗"
"Good location near the Tha Phae Gate. Easy access to Saturday and Sunday Night Markets. Room was clean and furniture looked new. Needed to request for indoor slippers. Breakfast spread was good with a mix of local and western cuisine. Though it’s a new hotel, the hotel key is a traditional key access where you need to physically lock the room door before leaving the hotel. Recommend to have ramps for guests to roll up and down their luggage where there were steps."
"Wonderful Hotel, Convenient Location. Wooden, cozy room with a comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning. A nice bonus — there's a café downstairs, and guests have access to free coffee. A small downside: the room did not have a chair and a table, as shown in the photos. Instead, there was a shelf and small glass bedside tables."
"The hotel is located right next to the Night Bazaar shopping area. The price was excellent value for money. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and well-equipped, offering expansive city views of Chiang Mai. In the morning, we strolled along the Mae Kha canal to the old market, enjoyed delicious and reasonably priced congee for breakfast, and also visited many nearby temples. It was definitely worth it, and we will definitely return."
"I love the hotel staffs on my arrival and Chek out date. They both gave a super first class services. I am fine with all amenities. Location is good and just a few minutes walk to night market & Tha Phae gate"
"We had a great stay at Hotel Loy in Chiang Mai! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location for exploring the city. What really stood out was the service—both Zen and Tar were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!"
"I love our stay in Imm Thapae. Dont believe the google reviews very far from the truth. the location is perfect just a few steps from the Thapae Gate. the McDonalds below the hotel is also the meet up point of most group tours like those of Klook"
"Helpful staff. Housekeeping made good efforts despite holiday season and guest turnover. Rooms was well appointed and bedding was comfortable. Had a good rest. Vegan restaurant nearby. Will consider for future stay/s."

Amazing
GGuest UserThis hotel was a delightful surprise. It was warm and attentive. During my 20-day stay in Chiang Mai, this was the best value hotel I visited, offering the most attentive service and the most enthusiastic and caring staff. They prepared everything needed for each guest and provided excellent service. The breakfast was also very thoughtfully prepared. The room was beautifully decorated, which I loved. They even provided complimentary fruit and afternoon tea, and toys for the children – it was perfect! Staying here was a great choice…it exceeded my expectations…and the hotel also has a beautiful Thai owner who speaks some Chinese, which is really wonderful! 👍
GGuest UserThe experience with Away Chiang Mai was amazing! Being a vegan, it’s my very first time to stay in a fully vegan hotel. Every morning, I enjoyed the vegan breakfast buffet without needing to read food labels/ guessing if the dish contained any animal ingredients. Apart from food, the room was very comfortable. The swimming pool was not crowded and I could swim freely. What’s more, while the weather was quite cool during my stay, the swimming pool was supplied with warm water. Away Chiang Mai is such a great place for vacation.
GGuest UserA European-designed hotel conveniently located near Nimman Road, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. You can easily rent a bicycle using the Anywheel App, which makes getting around effortless and fun. Cycling through the neighborhood lets you truly enjoy the cool, refreshing breeze during Chiang Mai’s so-called “winter season.” 🚲✨
GGuest UserA beautiful serendipitous spot to relax. Staff are all friendly and have high service mindset. I asked for Khao Soi which is not on menu and they did it for me. Surprisingly the dish was so delicious, one of good Khao Soi bowls I had. All details in the hotel are so well-curated. A location is good, nearby Wat U-mong which is nice to visit by walking. Not too far to go to center of a city. Lovely experience staying there.
GGuest UserPeaceful and calm stay, truly worth the money. The rooms are exactly as shown in the photos—no surprises at all. Everything felt comfortable, well-maintained, and relaxing. A great place to unwind, and I would definitely recommend it.
VVanthy MaiIf you want a room with good price located inside old town then you should consider this place. However there are some pro and con for your information. Pro: reasonable price. Great location. Friendly staffs swimming pool. Con: room should be a bit more clean than that. AC was really loud.
