Hotel Central, nestled in the vibrant heart of Macau's historic city along Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, is ideally situated near iconic landmarks such as St. Paul's Ruins and the Senado Square. Following a meticulous HK$2 billion acquisition and revitalization project, this century-old treasure was gloriously reborn in 2024. This singular century-old boutique hotel ingeniously merges a nostalgic retro aesthetic with advanced technology and eco-friendly principles, resulting in an ambiance that is both evocative of the past and refreshingly contemporary.

I absolutely loved this hotel and highly recommend it to everyone! Here's why: 1. The location is superb, right by Senado Square, and on the other side is Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro. It's only about a 10-minute walk to Grand Lisboa. 2. There are plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby, and a bus stop is just a minute away. 3. As expected from Macau's first skyscraper hotel built in 1928, you get panoramic views of the entire Macau Peninsula from its rooftop terrace. The hotel was renovated and reopened in 2024, so it's incredibly clean, comfortable, and hygienic, yet it still retains its classic and elegant room style. It's especially well-suited for older guests who appreciate a sense of history. Definitely recommend it to my friends!

We stayed in the Starlight Pavilion, which had one double bed and two single beds – plenty of space for four people. The bay window offered a great view directly facing the Grand Lisboa Hotel. The bathroom on the first floor only had a bathtub, so we had to go upstairs to the second floor to shower. The stairs from the first to the second floor were very steep, and the slippers were quite slippery, making it easy to fall. It's something to be careful about if you're traveling with children or the elderly. We accidentally broke a glass cup in the bathroom and were charged 50 MOP from our deposit. The weirdest thing was that the TV on the second floor kept turning itself on in the middle of the night. At first, I thought someone accidentally hit the power button, but after it happened three times in a row, I realized it wasn't. I had to unplug the TV to stop it from turning on. I found this quite **frustrating**. I mentioned it to the front desk, but they just said they'd pass on the feedback and nothing ever came of it.

I booked this Hong Kong and Macau trip for my parents. At 70 years old, I was a bit worried about them traveling alone, but the Hong Kong and Macau tour felt quite reliable. The flight from Beijing was quick, and I did a lot of research beforehand. The hotel staff were incredibly warm and helpful. The entire trip was perfect; they saw everything they wanted to see. 11 days in Hong Kong and Macau was more than enough!

The location is excellent, right across from Grand Lisboa, just a 2-minute walk. I stayed on the 11th floor; the room was very clean and tidy, with no strange smells. The bathroom was well-equipped with soap, a shower cap, and lotion. The bed was comfortable. There was only one UK-style power outlet near the dressing table, and the one by the bed was a USB charging port. The soundproofing could be a bit better. It's super close to the 21A/26A bus stop and the famous Lao Day Beef Offal, and Senado Square is also very nearby. Overall, it's great.

The hotel's exterior looks a bit dated, but the interior decor, both soft and hard furnishings, is very upscale. It's exceptionally clean, and the doorman proactively opened the door and helped with luggage. The staff were all very warm and attentive. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but for someone with simple needs like me, it was more than enough! The afternoon tea had a rich and exquisite variety. The restaurant staff were all incredibly enthusiastic and meticulous, promptly attending to every customer's needs and responding immediately. Overall, it's excellent value for money and highly suitable for bringing older family members. Recommended! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Staying at the Rio Hotel in Macau was an absolutely fantastic experience! The French palace-style decor is incredibly elegant, with gilded carvings and a giant crystal chandelier in the lobby that's perfect for photos. The location is superb, right in the heart of the NAPE district. It's a short walk to the Lotus Square and the Grand Prix Museum, and there's a bus stop right outside, making it super convenient to get to Taipa and the Border Gate. The rooms have just been renovated and are spacious, clean, and offer amazing natural light. The bedding is so soft, I slept soundly all night. The facilities are excellent, including a heated pool, gym, and the fantastic Grand Orbit buffet, which offers Chinese, Western, and Japanese cuisine – even locals love it here. The service is incredibly thoughtful, with a 24-hour front desk and free luggage storage. The staff are warm and professional. It offers incredible value for money; for the same price, the comfort level is definitely top-notch. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Macau!

Holiday Inn Macau, the international hotel centrally located in the prime and convenient location, provides its guests with utmost convenience, giving access to most of the business and leisure facilities within the city of Macau. Apart from its prime location, the hotel’s guest rooms, unique restaurants and bar, fitness and spa facilities are designed to meet the needs of both business and leisure travellers.

For my trip to Macau, Trip.com recommended the Holiday Inn. Upon arrival, I found the hotel conveniently located on Beijing Street. The front desk staff and lobby manager were all very attentive and welcoming, truly reflecting the high standard of service you'd expect in a tourist city. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, clean, and well-designed, and the room service is excellent. During my stay, I reported some noise from the surroundings, and it was addressed promptly. I was very satisfied with their quick response. The hotel boasts an excellent location, with cultural landmarks such as the Lotus Square, Dr. Ho Yin Park, Macau Polytechnic University, and Beijing Tong Ren Tang all nearby, offering plenty of options for exploration.

Grand Emperor Hotel offers cozy accommodation with a combination of traditional British Royal Style and contemporary design. Situated in a prime location in the heart of Macau, walking distance to Macao World Heritage and attractions - The Ruins of St. Paul's, Mount Fortress, Senado Square, etc. Just 5-minute walk to Bus Terminal with convenient access to the Macao and COTAI attractions; 15-minute drive to ferry terminal and airport. Perfect for business and leisure travelers.

BBingdaoxiaoxiong 2026.04.29
Traveling to Macau with my mom, after much deliberation, I chose this hotel. The location is excellent, right next to New Yaohan, and directly across the street from the main bus terminal. You can easily walk to attractions like Wynn, MGM, Grand Lisboa, and New Lisboa. If you haven't booked breakfast at the hotel, there's a coffee shop downstairs where you can grab a bite. The only minor downside is that the hotel doesn't offer an airport shuttle, but that's not a big issue. There's a free shuttle to Studio City right outside the hotel, with the first departure at 12:30 PM. From Studio City, you can transfer to an airport shuttle, or take the light rail for just two stops to reach the airport. Alternatively, you can take a shuttle from New Lisboa to Grand Lisboa Palace and then transfer to an airport shuttle.

Traveling to Macau with my 90-year-old father, we stayed at the Sofitel Macau At Ponte 16. The location was incredibly convenient for getting around, and our overall experience was excellent. As soon as we entered the lobby, we were warmly greeted and guided through the check-in process. The hotel offers a thoughtful taxi service, and the breakfast, in particular, was incredibly nutritious, abundant, diverse, and made with fresh ingredients. The elegant and beautiful restaurant environment also greatly enhanced our dining experience. It was a truly special stay, and I highly recommend this hotel as a top choice for anyone visiting Macau.

The hotel is a bit old but well-maintained, and the rooms aren't very big, with poor soundproofing. The location is excellent, truly in the heart of everything. If you head left out of the hotel onto the main road, you can visit places like St. Lawrence's Church and the Ruins of St. Paul's. If you go right into the small alley, you can reach Mandarin's House and A-Ma Temple. The hotel is also very close to the Grand Lisboa and New Lisboa casinos, New Yaohan department store, Macau Square, and Margaret's Cafe & Nata, among other attractions.

JJiafeiaichiniangaoOh my goodness, this hotel is absolutely fantastic! The front desk staff are all incredibly nice and accommodating, always ready to help and very friendly towards children. They even give you hand cream before bed, and everything in the mini-bar except alcoholic drinks is complimentary – there are even instant noodles, which my kids loved! The semi-buffet breakfast is also wonderful. I've stayed at The Londoner and Four Seasons in Macau before, and this time I tried Morpheus and St. Regis. I have to say, I highly recommend The Londoner and Morpheus; I'll definitely choose these two again next time. Of course, I'd also like to try other hotels, haha. And a big shout-out to Yí Lóng Hè at Morpheus – the food is delicious, the service is excellent, and for my birthday, they even gave me longevity buns and a pen with the Yí Lóng Hè logo. This was the most comfortable stay! I do have one small suggestion though: it would be even better if the customized birthday room key card also included the birth date.

LLengyu55After booking, I tried to contact the hotel multiple times without success; no one responded to my requests. Finally, Ctrip helped me communicate with the hotel the day before our trip. Initially, I was concerned about renovation smells in the Bond Tower and asked to be moved to the Banyan Tower. Ctrip informed me that as of April 2026, only the Bond Tower was open, which I accepted. Then, I requested to switch our king room to a twin room, and the hotel said it would cost an additional 90+ RMB, which I also agreed to. Many online reviews mention free room upgrades, but honestly, don't expect any of that anymore. I had also mentioned it was our 10th wedding anniversary, and while they didn't upgrade our room, they did give us a small cake. However, it was clearly an oversight as it said 'Happy Birthday' – very perfunctory. Furthermore, during check-in, halfway through the process, a South Asian supervisor-like staff member suddenly came over and, with a disdainful look, told us we needed to pay extra. I was thinking, hadn't Ctrip already clarified this, and hadn't we agreed to pay? Why did she act as if we were unwilling to pay and deserved her contempt? This was the first time I'd ever had such an uncomfortable check-in experience in Macau. The hotel's facilities and design are undeniably exquisite and beautiful. Although the room was small, the Bond Tower didn't have the strong renovation smell that some online reviews mentioned, which was a relief. The hotel also provided Eiffel Tower tickets, which was a pleasant surprise. After returning to the room in the evening, I noticed there was no turndown service provided, nor was the room tidied up a second time. The service was a bit lacking. Also, there were no size options for children's bathrobes; my 130cm, 80-catty (approx. 40kg) son couldn't wear theirs. The service staff and front desk employees had poor English proficiency. The only thing that truly impressed me was the heated swimming pool. Located on the 3rd floor, it offered great views, with comfortable loungers, lemon water, and towels readily available by the pool. The water temperature was a very comfortable 36 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for swimming even in winter, which was excellent. Overall, you can stay at this hotel, but don't have high expectations for the service.

GGuest UserThe lady who handled our check-in was incredibly meticulous and patient, and the bedding in the room was exceptionally comfortable – those were the two best things. I was traveling with my mother, and they happily switched us from a king room to a twin room, which we appreciated. The area around the hotel is very picturesque for photos. For shopping, it's not as extensive as the Londoner. We went primarily for the Eiffel Tower and booked a lunch set menu at La Chine. After our meal, we were able to use our receipt to get free access to the top observation deck of the Eiffel Tower, which was a lovely bonus and fulfilled a little wish of ours!

GGuest UserThis hotel is huge! They offer shuttle services to major attractions and the airport, which makes getting around super convenient. We arrived a bit past 1 PM, and the front desk was able to get us into a room early. Our room was spacious and beautiful, and the garden was absolutely delightful. The breakfast here is also excellent – I've had many hotel breakfasts, and this one really stands out (though I haven't tried any super high-end places). There's even a mall within the hotel with plenty of dining and shopping options, although it's so big my feet hurt from all the walking! It's also very close to the airport. I'd definitely come back if I get the chance.

GGuest UserThe room was a 'Eiffel Tower View' room, perfect for watching the Tower's light show at night. It was very clean and looked exactly like the pictures. Getting here from Hengqin Port was easy; just take the light rail, and it's a short walk through the mall. There's a shuttle bus to City of Dreams, and it's convenient to walk around the area too. Downstairs, you'll find plenty of dining, shopping, and entertainment options for kids. There's even the popular Don Quijote supermarket nearby!

MMengmengda2024The hotel's location is fantastic! There's a bus stop right downstairs with direct routes to the airport, Taipa Ferry Terminal, various hotels in Taipa, and even the Macau Peninsula – super convenient. The room was spacious and very clean, and the bed was nice and soft, which was great for staying with a child. All the toiletries and slippers were provided for free. Plus, there's a whole street of great eateries just downstairs. It's a shame that Yang Zhi Jin Lao, a restaurant downstairs, was under renovation during my stay and I could only order takeout. All in all, this hotel offers excellent value for money and I highly recommend it.

JJayJay1I booked a King Room with an ocean view. The room was spacious, spotless, and well-maintained. The minibar items were complimentary, except for the premium bottled water and wine (though no wine was provided in the room). A deposit of MOP 1,000 was required at check-in, which was fully refunded upon checkout. The hotel also offered free shuttle buses to major hotels and key departure points across Macau. Ppeggy7758Our room was on a higher floor, so it was pretty quiet with minimal noise. Overall, the room was clean, though the facilities were a bit dated. The main drawback was the air conditioning at night; it was very loud and constantly rattling. Everything else was generally acceptable. When calling a taxi from the front desk, there were often issues with the line being busy. If you urgently need a car, it's best to check if someone is getting out of a taxi at the entrance, or head over to the taxi stand at Galaxy, or use their dedicated ride service. The location isn't right next to Galaxy, but it's still quite close. We were able to walk to Rua da Cunha (Taipa Village) in the evening and back from there without any trouble.
