"I've been to Dali many times, and each time I try a different guesthouse. This time, the platform recommended ”Yan Chuanshu Inn” based on my preferences, and I was drawn to it at first sight. It's located in the heart of Dali Old Town, in a relatively new area, and it's very quiet. What I absolutely loved was that the guesthouse has three adorable British Shorthair cats! Maikou is a chubby one who loves to lie on the floor and act cute. Tiechui is a Scottish Fold kitten, very clingy, and has the best personality. Gangdan is a British Blue cat, independent and very wary, lively and mischievous – as expected, you can only pet him when he's in a good mood [lol][lol]. Despite that, I still adore them, haha. My stay here was completely therapeutic because of the cats, and also because of the attentive service from the guesthouse owner. The owner has a great demeanor, and the service was impeccable. She helped me with my luggage and, knowing it was our first time exploring Dali, recommended some delicious and reasonably priced food spots in the Old Town [munch][munch]. Furthermore, the room I booked was really spacious, and the bed was huge – a Stressless brand, super comfortable! The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the overall cleanliness was excellent. The cleaning auntie tidied my room daily. The guesthouse courtyard has many flowers and plants, and the rooftop offers beautiful views of Cangshan Mountain ⛰️⛰️. I especially loved going up there in the evening. All in all, the accommodation I chose for this trip was truly wonderful. I think I'll recommend it to my friends next time～[heart][heart]"

"This hotel boasts an excellent location, just a few minutes' walk from the South Gate of the ancient city, surrounded by a food street. Taxis and food delivery services are easily accessible. The rooms are comfortable, and the bedding is clean and just right. I booked two rooms, and both mine and my children's were great; the bedding wasn't damp at all and felt very comfortable. The hotel's interior environment is fantastic, and they even provide free clothes for photo ops – my family was taking pictures until past 10 PM on our check-in night. The breakfast is exquisite, and the taste perfectly suited for someone from northern China like me; I'd have two bowls of rice noodles every day until I was stuffed! Finally, the staff's service attitude and enthusiasm were exceptionally good and diligent. This hotel is highly recommended."

"The night view was great. The two ladies at the front desk were incredibly kind and patient. However, the bathroom wasn't very clean; the toilet was a bit dirty, probably because it's not a new hotel. Also, the outdoor table in the view room was dusty. The water was very hot, and the mini-fridge didn't work. Everything else was pretty good."

The staff are incredibly friendly and patient, sharing tips for exploring the ancient city and avoiding tourist traps, and recommending authentic, never-disappointing restaurants. Throughout our stay, we felt like we were treated like family. The scenery and location are unbeatable. It's a mere 5-minute walk to Dali Ancient City, with supermarkets and snack streets nearby. Despite its central location, it's surprisingly quiet, offering peaceful nights with the mountain breeze. The lush green courtyard, along with two adorable Shiba Inus greeting guests with toys, perfectly fulfills all my beautiful expectations for a stay in Dali."

"Had a fantastic stay! A big shout-out to the staff for helping with my luggage – I didn't have to lift a finger, which I really appreciated. The coffee made by the lovely lady at the front desk was delicious, and the views from the 5th floor were perfect for photos. Breakfast could be delivered to the room, which was a nice touch. The front desk lady also recommended a great driver who was incredibly helpful and answered all our questions throughout the trip. Excellent service all around! I'll definitely be staying here again next time."

"We will be back! This felt like a home away from home, except it had such a wonderful view of the lake. The host was super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, close to the railway station, which was very handy for us as we came over from Kunming and then went back. You're close to many of the central places and with DiDi taxi, it's super easy to get around from here. We will for sure book here again; we're already planning a visit back."

"The location is great, really close to Dali Old Town's North Gate, which is super convenient. Right outside, there are tons of snack stalls and it's always lively. The owner provides excellent service and the room is very clean. And the BBQ place next door is both delicious and affordable."

"Every stay at Erhai Zhixin is incredibly refreshing. It's conveniently located, surrounded by lush greenery, and filled with the sounds of birds and the scent of flowers. The entire property is smart-enabled, and the rooms are bright, spotless, and impeccably clean. Lying in bed, you get a panoramic view of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, which truly broadens your mind and helps you clear your thoughts. The owner is warm and hospitable, and the service is exceptional. I'll never forget how delicious the 'small pot er'si' was. You can also slow down, enjoy a coffee, and listen to some music – all your fatigue and worries just melt away."

"This guesthouse offers a fantastic experience! As soon as you step through the main gate, you're greeted by a charming garden with beautiful flowers and plants. Plus, there are 10 cats and 2 dogs to play with. The room itself is spacious and tidy, and they've added some really thoughtful touches like a foot bath tub, a clothes dryer, complimentary fruit and snacks, and a direct drinking water dispenser 👍. There's also a laundry room on the rooftop (with both a washer and dryer) and a drying area. I highly recommend staying here when you visit Dali! [Awesome]"

"This was my first time in Yunnan, and I specifically chose this guesthouse because it's right next to a police station. The front desk staff was incredibly welcoming, helping us with our luggage and giving us great tips for sightseeing. The courtyard is spacious and quiet, and it's only about a ten-minute walk to the ancient city. I really wished I could have stayed another day or two if my itinerary wasn't already set. Coming back around 11 PM, almost all the streetlights were off, but the guesthouse still had a super bright light on at the entrance, which I found incredibly thoughtful. We woke up late, and the kitchen had thoughtfully saved breakfast for us. The breakfast was very plentiful and made fresh by local aunties. Their human touch really surpasses many large hotels. If I ever come back to Dali, or if friends visit, I will definitely highly recommend this guesthouse."
