"I initially booked for one night to check it out, but ended up staying for three – it was absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend this place for several reasons: 1. **Location:** It's super close to the ancient city, just across the road, which is incredibly convenient. Yet, it's surprisingly quiet at night for a good rest. 2. **Amenities:** Although it's a guesthouse, it has all the facilities you could ask for. The bathroom has a great wet/dry separation, and the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner all smell wonderful. The hairdryer is a Laifen, which is better than what many star hotels offer. Plus, given Dali's dry climate, the humidifier in the room was a very thoughtful touch. 3. **Breakfast:** The breakfast was clean and hygienic, with options for congee or rice noodles, so you can choose what you prefer. 4. **Afternoon Tea:** They offer afternoon tea with coffee, various teas, and fruit. The freshly baked waffles were absolutely delicious! 5. **Service:** The service was truly exceptional, with great attention to detail. It genuinely felt like coming home. All reasonable requests were met, which was super impressive. I know how challenging it is to run a guesthouse, and it's even harder to run one this well. "I've been to Dali many times, and each time I try a different guesthouse. This time, the platform recommended ”Yan Chuanshu Inn” based on my preferences, and I was drawn to it at first sight. It's located in the heart of Dali Old Town, in a relatively new area, and it's very quiet. What I absolutely loved was that the guesthouse has three adorable British Shorthair cats! Maikou is a chubby one who loves to lie on the floor and act cute. Tiechui is a Scottish Fold kitten, very clingy, and has the best personality. Gangdan is a British Blue cat, independent and very wary, lively and mischievous – as expected, you can only pet him when he's in a good mood [lol][lol]. Despite that, I still adore them, haha. My stay here was completely therapeutic because of the cats, and also because of the attentive service from the guesthouse owner. The owner has a great demeanor, and the service was impeccable. She helped me with my luggage and, knowing it was our first time exploring Dali, recommended some delicious and reasonably priced food spots in the Old Town [munch][munch]. Furthermore, the room I booked was really spacious, and the bed was huge – a Stressless brand, super comfortable! The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the overall cleanliness was excellent. The cleaning auntie tidied my room daily. The guesthouse courtyard has many flowers and plants, and the rooftop offers beautiful views of Cangshan Mountain ⛰️⛰️. I especially loved going up there in the evening. All in all, the accommodation I chose for this trip was truly wonderful. I think I'll recommend it to my friends next time～[heart][heart]"

"The location was super easy to find; just hailed a taxi using the navigation and got there directly. Check-in was smooth. The landlady was a lovely, friendly, and very enthusiastic lady, always serving with a smile. The room had large floor-to-ceiling windows, was very spacious, and offered direct views of Erhai Lake. The smart home features were also very convenient, and the projector had excellent clarity. Both the bathtub and shower had perfectly adjustable water temperatures, making them very comfortable. If you're visiting Dali, staying here is really pleasant. It's right next to Ideal State and also very close to Wenbi Village."

"This guesthouse was a real gem, easily a full five-star rating! The entire place is an elegant Bai-style courtyard, with quaint bridges and flowing water, creating a serene and refined atmosphere. Despite being right inside Dali Ancient City, it's completely shielded from the street noise, offering a rare sense of tranquility amidst the bustling area. It's incredibly convenient for exploring the ancient city on foot. We booked a mountain-view room with an exclusive terrace, and sitting there in the evening, enjoying the breeze, the view was so relaxing and truly set the perfect mood. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was neat and fresh, and the smart bathroom amenities were convenient and easy to use; all the hardware was very well-maintained. The owner was kind and thoughtful, and the check-in process was simple and smooth. They weren't intrusive at all, but were always quick to respond if we had any questions. Overall, the guesthouse has a strong ancient charm, quiet and healing. After a day of exploring the ancient city, returning to the courtyard was incredibly stress-relieving. The stay far exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway in the ancient city."

"This hotel offers an exceptional sea view! Located in Dali Golden Coast Manor, it boasts an unobstructed, first-row view with 270° floor-to-ceiling windows and a sea-view balcony. You can lie in bed and admire the Cangshan mountains and Erhai lake, enjoying both sunrise and sunset. The design is very stylish and picture-perfect, with an aerial garden and glass observation deck that make it easy to snap Instagram-worthy photos. The hardware quality is top-notch: a smart home system throughout (voice-controlled lights/curtains), smart toilets, thermostatic showers, and other intelligent features. The service is attentive, including a complimentary breakfast for two, coffee, tea, a chess and card room, music room, and fully equipped fitness room. It's quiet and private, situated in a villa area with few people, offering excellent privacy – perfect for unwinding. This is my second stay at the hotel!"

"The hotel is only an 8-minute walk from the ancient city, which is super convenient, yet it's surprisingly quiet despite being so close to the bustling area. They even offer a shuttle service to and from the ancient city. The room details are fantastic – the mattress is so soft, and the mini-bar drinks are complimentary. Plus, no stairs to climb, the elevator makes going up and down so easy! The butler service is gentle and attentive, and the breakfast is delicious. The butler even lets us pick our breakfast the night before, and it's delivered right to our door in the morning. In the afternoon, you can relax in the courtyard, have tea, and take some photos. So comfortable!"

"The first hotel on our Yunnan trip was absolutely fantastic! The moment we stepped into the courtyard, we were instantly charmed by the beautiful flowers and plants, and seeing the adorable cats and dogs just lifted our spirits. The room was very clean, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, which is one of my must-haves when choosing accommodation. The bedding was super comfortable, and the bed was great for sleeping. They even had a direct drinking water dispenser in the room, which felt much safer than an electric kettle. The guesthouse is just over a ten-minute walk to the South Gate of the ancient town. The walk back takes a few minutes longer because there's an uphill slope right before you reach the guesthouse, but if you rent a scooter, it's no problem at all. They even thoughtfully provided a foot bath tub in the room – soaking my feet after a long day was so relaxing. The staff at the guesthouse were all young men, and they were warm and welcoming without being intrusive. If I come back to Dali, I'll definitely choose this guesthouse again."
