"Staying at Honglin Pavilion Inn in Dali was an absolute gem! The facilities and amenities were top-notch, far exceeding my expectations, and truly enhanced my trip. The inn's location is incredibly convenient. Step right out into the ancient city's streets, and a stroll to Erhai Lake is just a few minutes away. Walking into the courtyard was a breathtaking experience; it's designed in a classical Chinese garden style, with rockeries and flowing water complemented by vintage lanterns. The common areas feature incredibly comfortable rattan chairs and tea sets, and they even provide complimentary tea and utensils. In my free time, I'd brew a pot of tea and enjoy the scenery – it was so relaxing I didn't want to leave. All in all, the stay brought immense happiness. Next time I'm in Dali, I'll definitely choose this place again!"

"The hotel is really well situated, close to the Ancient Town. From the Dali's Railway Station, you can take the bus 8 (~1h & ¥3). Electric scooters were available for rental (¥60 a day for one person) which makes it very convenient to visit Dali and access the Three Pagodas. You can also leave your baggage after check-out. All in all, a very pleasant stay."

"Traveling to Dali, I chose to stay at the 'Zhongli Qianxun' courtyard hotel near the South Gate of the ancient city. Unlike the towering buildings in the bustling downtown, it quietly awaits guests with the gentle charm of a traditional Bai-style residence. The day before check-in, the hotel sent a thoughtful reminder with accurate and detailed navigation instructions for driving. Upon arrival, the staff proactively helped with my luggage and offered a warm cup of tea as a welcome. The wooden carvings under the eaves, with their dragon and phoenix patterns, and relief sculptures of flowers, birds, fish, and insects, exude a timeless artistry. In the traditional courtyard paved with bluestone slabs, traces of moss are shallow, water ripples gently, and fish frolic. Waking up, the first ray of sunlight pierces through the clouds, and golden light bathes the continuous mountain peaks; in the evening, with the ancient city's hustle and bustle just beyond the walls, I brewed a pot of Pu'er tea in the courtyard, enjoying only the serene passage of time. As dusk settled, the courtyard lanterns lit up one by one, their warm yellow glow softly outlining the contours of the upturned eaves. Amidst the interplay of light and shadow, the wooden carving patterns became even more profound. The manager and staff, Xiao Fen, Xiao Hui, and others whose names I couldn't recall, had smiles as warm as the lamplight. The Bai-style suite was elegant, and the service was wonderfully comforting, quietly melting away the fatigue of the journey. Searching for it through countless moments, I suddenly turned back to find that courtyard, that lamplight, and that stretch of Cangshan Mountain were precisely the softest moments of my time in Dali."

"The hotel is placed strategically near the road so it’s easy for pick up and drop offs and there is no need to drag our luggages. Upon arriving the owner helped carry our luggages inside and even when we were leaving they helped to carry it again out. For Muslim travelers, there is a halal restaurant right next door! the food are so yummy! I will recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay that is close to many attractions. "The hotel is situated in what appears to be the penthouse unit of a residential tower. Each of the rooms offers magnificent views of the Erhai Lake. In addition, you can also head up to the roof-top to soak in the views too. The service at the hotel is very good. We were contacted by the staff several days before to arrange for a pick-up from the high speed rail station and they would attend to every request that we make through them via WeChat, including arranging a driver for us. A Chinese breakfast is included every morning and you can do your laundry there too."

"The hospitality here was truly wonderful. Every staff member was friendly, thoughtful, and incredibly accommodating. Even though we didn’t speak Mandarin, they really tried their best to explain everything clearly and made sure we felt comfortable throughout our stay. The room was fantastic — cozy, well-heated, and equipped with smart home facilities, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We were also pleasantly surprised by a complimentary tie-dye activity arranged by them. It was such a fun experience and we got to bring home a cute handmade souvenir! The location is also a huge plus — it’s within walking distance to Dali Ancient City, making it very convenient to explore the area. They even checked in on us via WeChat to make sure everything was going well, which was a very thoughtful touch. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Dali in the future. Highly recommended!"

"Overall, the hotel offered a great experience. For those nitpickers complaining about outdated facilities, it's a 10-year-old hotel that's been maintained exceptionally well. If you want new, go stay in a formaldehyde-ridden room! The lobby is quite unique and grand. Check-in was smooth with a butler who made communication and problem-solving easy. I forgot to close the screen window when I went out, worried about bugs, and it was sorted instantly via WeChat. The room size is ample, and the balcony view is nice. The bedding is good, and the pillows are comfortable. They even provide bed rails for those with kids. Beyond that, it's a standard, excellent star-rated hotel. There's a courtyard in front of the lobby for relaxing. My wife wanted to try local specialties like Xidoufen and Barener Si, so we skipped breakfast, thus no comment on that. This is also one of only two Tesla Supercharging stations built at hotels in Dali (the other being Junfa Pullman). Tesla isn't stupid, they choose their locations wisely. The location is good, at the foot of a hillside, very quiet. It's very close to the three cableways for Cangshan. For exploring the western route (Dali Ancient City, Xizhou Ancient Town, Hai She Park), this is the best place to stay."

MMrs LeafIf I could, I’ll give a score of 100/10! This is such a fantastic experience staying here. What is so impressive is the SERVICE and the actual room facilities. The staff is soooooooo friendly and helpful - he basically helped me plan my itinerary every day because I came with zero plans and only wanted to relax. He helped me to plan my route and book a car for day use. And the driver is amazing too - he brought me to try 扎染 tie dye even when I didn’t know anything about it. He made sure I went to a local experience instead of expensive tourist trap. And he’s great at taking photos too! Back to the staff. He would understand what I’m interested in and then give suggestions that I’ll like. Amazing. And there is even a whole list of things to watch out for when visiting all the tourists attractions. When you arrive, they’ll also message you all the places to eat. There is also a convenience store right downstairs if you want to buy anything. They also gives you instructions if you want food delivery. So detailed!! And they are so proud of the fact that their rooms are exactly what it looked like on the app. So clean so new so amazing. Look at that view! You wake up to the view of the vast sea. And there is a giant bath tub for you to experience soaking in bubble bath (also given) at the same time. The toilets are always the make or break when travelling. And the toilets are amazing again. AUTOMATIC flush and the seat cover automatically opens and close. My goodness. And the shower has different outlets if you want some form of water acupuncture 🤣 very modern. And they even have a towel dryer/heater!!! You can dry anything small and it’ll be dry and crisp. Normally hotel pillows give me headaches. But not here! They have the latex foam pillow and also the normal fluffy pillows. It is so suitable and comfortable for me who is accustomed to memory foam pillows. How can accommodation get so detailed and excellent? Breakfast is another wonderful experience. You go the dining area and an aunty cooks porridge or noodles or meat buns or corn or sweet potatoes and serve them to you. There is even soya bean drink and fritters and lots of sauces and seasonings and small bites. And there is unlimited bottled beverages like honey jasmine tea or oolong tea and fruits and coffee. How do they even make a profit? And there is even a place to rest and relax and drink tea if you come with friends. I can’t wait to come back here with more friends and family and let me experience what I enjoyed so much here. Thank you to the staff and to the boss! 😁😍

The owner is a veteran, and when he was around, he'd often offer to drive me to the nearby bus station, which was super considerate. LLixiaobaoI was initially concerned that the Xiaomei King Room, which lacked air conditioning, would be hot and small. However, it was nothing of the sort – it was absolutely stunning, and the service was impeccable! My elderly companion did mention that the noise from duvets being washed at night made it difficult for her to fall asleep. Despite this, overall, we were very pleased. I had planned to visit the wetland park for the sunset, but a staff member advised there was no need, as we could enjoy the view directly from their property! They even provided a complimentary farewell gift upon our departure!

EEnnaService was fantastic, the host was superb! Place was clean, convenient, and included all that one could need on a vacation. In the heart of Ancient Dali, this was perfect for food, entertainment, and shopping. It is also minutes away from the famous Cangshan mountain, and the host is very considerate in assisting you with any arrangement you'd like, including cabs for railway and airport transportation. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the room matched exactly the photos that are on the site. Very often this is not the case. So, all in all it was a very pleasant experience at this location. Would definitely stay again and certainly would recommend this to anyone travelling to Dali. As a single female, I found this place to be very safe...especially with a considerate host, who looks out for you!

Dali Anyu is nestled within the ancient city, offering convenient access to transportation. The entire hotel beautifully captures the essence of Dali, providing a serene, welcoming, and high-end atmosphere. Though not large, this charming three-story wooden hotel exudes a strong retro and ethnic vibe. Staying here felt incredibly peaceful, immediately shielding us from the ancient city's hustle and bustle. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive. Upon my arrival, I initially had trouble finding the entrance, but a staff member promptly came out to greet me, helped carry my luggage directly to the room, and even presented a lovely welcome tea ceremony. Every member of the Anyu team, from the dedicated butler to the general service staff, greeted us with warm smiles and soft-spoken kindness. Their hospitality made us feel truly cherished, as if we were guests in our own home. Inside the room, the amenities had a charming retro design, complemented by high-end, incredibly comfortable bedding that invited immediate sleep. The toiletries were top-notch, alongside a Dyson hairdryer, premium mineral water, and an exquisite laundry service. In the evenings, they thoughtfully provided Tremella soup, known for its calming properties. Every detail contributed to a truly warm and cozy stay. A charming, distinctive touch was the room key – a long-handled, retro-style key. Room cleanliness was impeccable, far surpassing similar hotels; even the smallest crevices in the bathroom were spotless. Another highlight was the afternoon tea and breakfast. They were truly bespoke, freshly prepared upon order – absolutely no pre-made dishes or buffet lines. Everything was served individually, featuring fresh, unique, high-quality, hygienic, and delicious ingredients. I was even delighted to find sea cucumber on the menu! Upon departure, all the Anyu staff came out to bid me a warm farewell – a truly wonderful and memorable gesture. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

GGuest Usercomfortable stay, great hospitality from owner and receptionists. helped to arrange airport transfer (around 160 yuan, which fluctuates depending on time of year) with clean 7 seater. on night of 31 dec, watched fireworks from room. large bathtub for soaking which popular with kids. this room's bathtub is outside the room with open balcony. projection TV very big with AI function. mattress is Sealy so very comfortable large beds. both 1.8m wide. good size for family of 4 . good breakfast selection on 3 nights we stayed. buffet style which kids love. hotel staff very helpful to pick up laundry from machine (free use) when we are out sightseeing - staff even took initiative to add drying minutes upon checking that our' clothes haven't dried yet before taking them out and sending to our room. nice view of the old city of dali from the sister hotel nearby. hotel owner also sells discounted entrance tickets (9.9 per person instead of 19.9) to 云上草原. hotel owner also recommended 路极 which was amazing. overall excellent stay! highly recommended! photos taken on last day (already used the bedroom)

They helped with our luggage, were incredibly warm and welcoming, and even recommended local eateries and markets. The room was clean and tidy, with a fantastic view, offering direct views of Erhai Lake and perfect for sunset watching. It was a really great experience! I'd recommend driving if you can, as getting around might be a bit far otherwise. But you can always order takeout!

I stayed at the Jupiter Castle Hotel once before, right after it opened, and it left a deep impression. So I returned to Wenbi Village. Compared to a few years ago, Wenbi Village's commercial offerings are much more developed, and this hotel's service is even more meticulous. The overall aesthetic is perfect for photos. My room booking included complimentary pick-up service from Dali Airport, taking me directly to the hotel. The butler kept in touch throughout my stay. That very evening, I saw a 'burning cloud' sunset, which hadn't appeared for many days. The next morning, I witnessed the rare sight of the sun illuminating Cangshan Mountain. Wenbi Village is situated at an elevation that offers a panoramic view of Cangshan and Erhai Lake, arguably one of the best locations. Although it's been open for three or four years, the hotel is very well-maintained. The mini-fridge was stocked with many complimentary items, including face masks, jellies, and drinks, all free to enjoy. The hygiene was impeccable, and the overall environment was fantastic. Just staying in the room, curled up on the sofa, with the warm sunlight streaming in and bathing me, instantly made all the stress and exhaustion from work disappear. Thank you, Dali, and thank you, Jupiter Castle, for making this trip so perfect. I'll definitely stay here again next time I get the chance!

MM278948****The B&B owner was very welcoming and helped me with my luggage. They also recommended places to eat and things to do. You can tell a lot of thought went into the room facilities, and the cleanliness was excellent. The B&B is located inside Erhai Park, which has a playground and animals to see, so the kids had a great time. There's even a swing at the B&B that the kids didn't want to leave! 😂 The owner was really nice; they recommended we visit Wenbi Village and even suggested accommodation there since we hadn't decided on our plans for the next few days. They told us we could go check out the place first before deciding. Overall, it's highly recommended!
