Jinbi Yayuan Hotel

This hotel is nice. The room is not that big, but has barely enough space to put your luggage without feeling too cramped. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is small, with the shower and toilet all in one. There is no AC, however with the weather being cool its doable. Also no elevator. The nice guy at reception helped carry my suitcase up the second floor. The hot water comes and goes in the shower. Shampoo and liquid soap is provided, a hairdryer, clean towels and free water. There is a fan in the room. The kettle works. There is free fruits and tea in the lobby which is nice. The guy at the front desk is nice and friendly. He doesn't speak English, but we communicate easily with translate. What I don't like is that it was not easy to find this hotel. I was given a restaurant address right on the main road as a drop off location from the train station. Then we had to walk about 3 to 4 minutes down the narrow street and had to show people the address of Dali Jinbi Yayuan Guesthouse (Erhai Branch of Dali Ancient City) until we were directed to the alley where the hotel is. They need a sign in English at the entrance of the alley for foreign tourists because it is not clearly marked.

This accommodation was fantastic. It was comfortable, clean and spacious and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a room with an air-conditioner which was lovely. The staff are lovely and were able to help us out whenever we needed. We appreciated being away from the main area as that meant that it was quiet and peaceful however it was a 12 to 15 minute walk every time we wanted to visit the main town. Overall would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet stay!

Hotel contacted us the day before our stay so it was good as the Didi dropped us at the wrong end of the road. Lovely small homestay with a very helpful young man at the front desk who tried very hard to help us with any enquiries despite the language barrier. It’s on a quieter edge of the ancient city so the accommodation is peaceful and clean

if there were 10 stars i would give it, but unfortunately the maximum stars are only 5 The man who managed the hotel was very kind and friendly, the room was comfortable and clean, and the facilities were complete, the service was very satisfying.

love the design of the hotel and the facilities provided. they also can arranged transport from dali to lijiang (as per attached). they provide free local traditional outfit (top only; can only be worn inside the hotel) and also rental full set outfit. the location is kinda hidden in the alley. it have 3 floor with no elevator.

The hotel is very easy to reach, just a bunch of meters from the bus stop. The room was very nice, spacious and clean. It is located very close to the ancient town and it is easy to reach every major tourist attraction by walking. Very recommended!
