The decor and design were fantastic. The renovation of the historic building is quite unique, and the courtyard is breathtaking.
The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed.
The breakfast was also delicious, featuring some unique dishes.
I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yunnan.

Next door bbq skewer is a must try for late night supper. The staff is helpful and friendly and recommends delicious mushroom hotpot nearby. They brought us to neighbouring hotel which is owned by the same boss for scrumptious buffet breakfast spread. Definitely 5 Stars. Strongly recommended! 👍

WWudiniangaozaiThis guesthouse was one of the accommodations I was most looking forward to during my trip to Dali, and I'm so glad it met my expectations! I didn't do much research before booking; I just stumbled upon a recommendation on a social media platform, and the view looked so amazing that I booked it right away. First, let's talk about the location. Since I didn't read up much beforehand, I only realized upon arrival that there are very few dining options nearby – almost no restaurants at all. Luckily, we had rented a car, which made things a bit easier. The owner is incredibly thoughtful and provides excellent service, helping with luggage and giving great recommendations. The resident cat, Saipan, is a bit aloof but very good-tempered; you can pet him all you want. It's a shame I only stayed for a short time. The view from this room type is fantastic, and in the evening, with the lights on, it feels so warm and cozy. I hope to come back and stay for a few days next time when I'm not in a hurry. Oh, and the room is also super photogenic!

The owner helped us with our luggage when we arrived and left. They were very enthusiastic, even helping us set up for photos, and the recommended restaurants were delicious. My only small issue was a communication gap regarding breakfast; on the second day, a different owner was there and didn't know we needed to leave early.

AAramiRexWe stayed here from 12–15 May during our honeymoon and decided to do our Yunnan trip entirely on our own. Dali was our first destination after landing in Kunming the night before, and it turned out to be the perfect start to our journey.
Since our train arrived early at around 9:00 AM, I contacted the host a few days in advance to ask if an early check-in would be possible. Not only were they happy to accommodate our request, but they also kindly offered to pick us up from the station. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by our host, Mei, who gave us a tour of the property after check-in.
The hotel exceeded our expectations. The architecture is absolutely stunning, from the outside, it feels like staying in a beautiful traditional palace within the old town, while the interior is thoughtfully modernized with every comfort you could need. Our room was incredibly spacious, and we especially loved the heated bathroom floors and the bidet, which was a pleasant surprise. There is also a rooftop area where guests can enjoy a beautiful sunrise view.
Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. Guests are given several options, and parts of the menu change daily, which kept things interesting. What we looked forward to most every morning was the amazing yogurt served with homemade rose jam, it was honestly the best we've ever had. We mentioned how much we loved it, and at the end of our stay, Mei surprised us with a jar to take home. Such a thoughtful gesture!
Every evening, the hotel served a warm dessert, introducing us to flavors that were completely new yet delicious. We were also treated to a complimentary afternoon tea. To make our honeymoon even more special, Mei and her team surprised us with a personalized cake, which was incredibly touching.
The location is very convenient, with several Muslim-friendly eateries within a 10-minute walk, as well as convenience stores nearby.
What truly sets this place apart, however, is the hospitality. Out of all the accommodations we stayed at during our Yunnan trip, this was by far the best. Mei went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, constantly sharing recommendations, travel tips, and local insights to help us make the most of our time in Dali. We genuinely felt cared for throughout our stay.
I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for honeymooners and newlyweds looking for a memorable and heartfelt experience. InsyaAllah, we will definitely return on our future trips to Dali.

The guesthouse is inside the ancient city but not in the busiest area, so it's very quiet at night. Taxis can drop you right at the entrance, and it's close to everything for exploring. The large bathtub was great for a relaxing soak, and the air conditioning had a heating function, plus there was an electric blanket. A special shout-out to the young man who runs the place; he was super responsive whenever we had a question and even lent us his e-scooter.

When you arrive, you can enjoy the hotel's homemade flower cakes and walnuts – I'm really bummed I missed out on the hotel breakfast! The service was also very satisfying, and the room was large and beautiful. It's excellent value for money. I stayed here a few years ago and loved it so much that when I came back to Dali, I booked the same room type at the same hotel again! The only thing is the bamboo forest seemed smaller, maybe it was the wrong season. I'll definitely come back again to experience it.

HHgeeeyThis B&B has a Mediterranean style and the ambiance is absolutely perfect. The room's interior design is top-notch, and you can enjoy distant views of Erhai Lake. The butler service was incredibly attentive; they offered complimentary pick-up to the hotel, helped with our luggage, and even had an electric cart to take us anywhere in the village. We also received a thoughtful souvenir upon check-out. Breakfast and afternoon tea were both plentiful and delicious. GGuest UserA wonderful stay at 梵宿 for my friend and I. The service level is top notch and commendable. From the day before we arrive, they keep in touch to know our arrival time. We arrived earlier than expected and they clean the room up in time and allow us to check in early too. Love our butler 波波. She is always ready to take care of us. We have a friend who visited us but not stay and she gave us an additional complimentary boat ticket to visit 小普陀 and additional complimentary afternoon tea too. The room is spacious and clean, the view is beautiful and this area is calming and relaxing. We joined the complimentary photography and the pictures are memorable. Love the breakfast too! It’s rotated day to day and it tastes delicious. The location is an hour away from the train station but it’s worth the journey. Overall 10/10 experience and I would be back to stay here! If you like a calm relaxing and enjoyable stay it’s much recommended!
