I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The service was excellent and the staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I really appreciated that transportation within the scenic area was so convenient, with carts provided to take guests to every location easily.
The pool and rooms were both very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
The only small improvement I would suggest is more variety in the food options, especially more inclusive choices for Western guests, as the current breakfast is mainly Chinese cuisine. Opening the floor-to-ceiling windows revealed the entire ocean, and both the sunrise and sunset views were incredibly therapeutic. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. The front desk service was attentive and thoughtful. The environment was quiet and peaceful, and relaxing while looking at the sea was simply delightful. It offers great value for money. This is definitely my top choice for a sea-view stay, and I'll be back here next time!"

"I feel so lucky to have chosen this hotel for my trip to Dali! The owners are incredibly thoughtful, and you can see their genuine care in every little detail. Each room comes with a wall-mounted washing machine, which is super convenient. They even thoughtfully provide high-quality facial masks and body lotion, taking care of all your skincare needs while traveling. The aunties and uncles working there are so warm and kind; it feels like staying with family. The owner is also very reliable and attentive. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and it offers great value for money. It's super convenient for exploring the lake during the day, and nice and quiet at night. We stayed for two nights with my family, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The cleanliness and facilities were all good. They even provided complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, a fruit platter, and sweet soup. To top it off, we received a small gift upon check-out ā overall, a fantastic stay!
The only minor improvement needed is the design of the sink in the room; water tends to splash out onto the counter, whether the faucet is on full or low.

Lazy Travellers lanrenchuyouThe location is superb, just a 5-minute walk from Dali Port. The views are incredible, with the lake-view rooms overlooking Erhai Lake. The front desk staff were excellent ā very patient, attentive to my questions, and quick to respond.
Facilities: The room was well-equipped with amenities like a mini-fridge, coffee machine, water heater, safe, bathtub, and shower.
Cleanliness: Clean and tidy.
Environment: The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from Dali Port. The scenery is amazing, with lake-view rooms overlooking Erhai Lake.
Service: The front desk staff were very friendly and patient, listened carefully to my questions, and answered quickly.

Guest UserOn my first day in Dali, I checked into the Yueshanhai Hotel, nestled in the mountains near the ancient city. With a gentle drizzle and fresh air, a stroll through the garden was utterly delightful.
The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, restaurant, cafe, bar, book bar, and even billiards. On the third floor of Building 1, you'll find the Akashima Seaview Bar and the Seaview Book Bar, offering stunning views of the mountains and Erhai Lake. Don't forget to wake up early to catch the sunrise!
The guest rooms are spacious and bright, with comfortable bedding. The Herbal toiletries and bathtub for a relaxing soak after a long day of exploring are absolutely wonderful!
Breakfast, served on the first floor of Building 2 at the Baini Restaurant, offers a rich variety of Chinese and Western options. The rice noodles with braised pork and Weishan stewed pork are incredibly fragrant and delicious!

Thank you for the room upgrade, and thanks to the butler for their problem-solving skills, but providing an honest review is my right.
With such a fantastic location and breathtaking views, the interior design's aesthetic is truly disappointing. It has a 'fake sophistication' vibe, feeling cheap andē½ēŗ¢ (internet-famous). My overall impression is that this place is great for photos, but not for living in.
Staying here was a mix of happiness and pain. If I had to describe it in one word, it would be 'fragmented'. It's like dealing with someone who's hot and cold ā one moment you feel they're warm and considerate, the next you feel everything they say and do has an ulterior motive.
The bathtub, shower facilities, and toilet were all very good. The hairdryer was a Dyson, and even the disposable bathtub liner was quite thick. The shampoo and shower gel provided were also reputable brands, and the pillows were decent. But the decor is genuinely ugly ā do you know that feeling when a stunning woman insists on wearing an 'auntie' hairstyle?
The food, however, is the biggest complaint. It's the worst guesthouse meal I've ever had in my life. The afternoon tea was generous in quantity but terrible in taste, and breakfast was the same ā mostly a collection of frozen, pre-made items. There were even flies on the bread, and when I pointed it out to the staff, they didn't seem to care much.

Once again, we say goodbye with that familiar ache of reluctance in our hearts.
Yet this farewell is softened by a unexpected tendernessāa beautiful twist of fate. A sudden bout of altitude sickness in Lijiang forced us to alter our plans and return to Dali. Little did we know this detour would lead us to the most wonderful surprise: XingMu Villa, tucked away on the green slopes of Haidong. Perhaps this was destiny's gentle hand at work all along?
We were truly blessed to meet the villa's kind-hearted owners, whose genuine warmth made us feel as though we had returned to a home we never knew we had.
The goodbye was especially moving. When our driver, Master He, arrived, the owners personally came out to see us off. We shared joyful smiles in a farewell photo, and they gifted us my favorite rose teaāa touching gesture I'll always remember. The hostess, aware of my recent knee injury, carefully helped me into the car, her eyes filled with such sincere care, as if I were her own. When she said how much she enjoyed hosting us and how special we were to her, my heart echoed every word.
Though every wonderful journey must eventually end, the memories we've made here will stay with us forever. As our car carried us away, the gentle scent of rose tea still lingered, a fragrant reminder of this heartwarming chapter.
Until we meet again, XingMu Villa. May you continue to shine brightly, and may every traveler who finds their way to your doors experience the same extraordinary warmth that embraced us during our stay.

KlauswangSummary: A very satisfying trip.
This hotel is located near the Erhai Lake Greenway, offering beautiful scenery and a peaceful environment with fewer tourists. Parking is convenient, about 200 meters away.
The greenway is perfect for cycling; you can reach the 'Most Beautiful Kilometer of Erhai' in about ten kilometers. Xizhou Ancient Town is also just a 2-kilometer bike ride away.
Due to certain circumstances during our stay, the owner upgraded us to a courtyard room on the first floor of Building B. The room's amenities were excellent, and we even got to see the sunrise in the morning.
Finally, the breakfast and afternoon tea, although not extensive in variety, were exquisite. Highly recommended.

The room facilities are in excellent condition and fully equipped, making for a super comfortable stay. It's an absolutely fantastic choice for accommodation! The room style is quite unique, and the air conditioning works perfectly. It's located near the ancient city, just a 5-minute walk to Renmin Road within the old town. The staff member was really enthusiastic and gave us great recommendations for food and sightseeing. Thumbs up! š

Breakfast was amazing! The freshly cooked rice noodles are fragrant, sticky and chewy, the courtyard is surrounded by green plants, and the terrace faces the sunrise over Erhai Lake. Every corner is full of natural aesthetics. The bedding in the room is skin-friendly and breathable, the air conditioner dispels the chill of Cangshan Mountain, and the viewing bathtub allows you to take in the starry sky and sea view. The boss is very kind and thoughtful, and he prepared sweet soup for us, which truly interprets the warmth of āhome away from homeā.

Hygiene: The room was clean and tidy.
Environment: The environment is absolutely fantastic. You step out and see Erhai Lake right there. Lying on the lounge chairs by the entrance, enjoying the breeze, is incredibly relaxing. There are also many picturesque spots perfect for photos.
Service: The service was absolutely amazing!!! There's a shuttle bus available for pick-up and drop-off, which is super thoughtful and convenient.

The front desk staff were incredibly gentle and patient, explaining everything in detail and actively helping to coordinate any requests I had. Their service really impressed me.
What truly surprised me was the hotel's intangible cultural heritage 'Jia Ma' printing experience, where the staff patiently guided us through the process.
I booked a standard room, not an executive one, so it was a pleasant surprise to find out that the executive lounge offers Ć la carte options ā that's a huge plus! The view from the 9th-floor lounge is absolutely stunning. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer an unobstructed view of the entire Erhai Lake, with Cangshan Mountain, the villages, and the lake all visible. The atmosphere at sunset is just magical. If you visit Dali, you absolutely must make time to sit there for a while, feel the breeze, and take in the mountains and the sea ā it's incredibly therapeutic and washes away all fatigue.
Overall, both the service and the unique experiences were top-notch. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Dali!
