"This hotel is excellent in every aspect, except for its location. Madrid's Metro Line 10 recently changed its route and will remain that way until the end of 2026. If you're staying here, there's a specific stop where everyone has to get off and transfer to another section of Line 10 that specifically serves the northern suburbs. This could be a bit troublesome for first-time visitors to Madrid who aren't familiar with Spanish. It takes at least 2-3 rides to understand the transfer process, especially when heading towards the city center. Plus, this suburban section isn't covered by the 10-trip travel card, requiring an additional €1.50 for a single ride. **Cleanliness:** I stayed in a king room, and it was great. The room was spacious and well-lit! Very good indeed! **Location:** The bus stop right outside the hotel isn't covered by the 10-trip card; this area seems to be in the suburbs. Also, if it's sunny, there isn't much shade from buildings or trees right outside. It's close to the metro station. Outside the window, there's a pleasant garden and river view. There are also some gas station convenience stores and a rural-style restaurant that looked decent. There are plenty of options for food delivery in the area. **Service:** The male front desk staff member who checked us in during the early hours of our arrival was exceptionally friendly! Please give him a bonus, haha. He was incredibly enthusiastic, attentive, not 'mean' at all, and even helped us collect our food delivery. Thank you. Oh, and one more thing: the bed in the king room is huge, big enough for three people without feeling cramped.🤣🤣"

"Stayed for one night during a layover. There's a supermarket and restaurants within a 10-minute walk. The hotel facilities are quite limited; their other hotels in Dubai usually have a fridge, but there's barely anything provided here. Breakfast was plentiful, and they offer a free airport shuttle. Just remember to book it in advance if you're departing from the hotel."

"Bit hard to get to/from the airport they do have shuttle services but its a lil tricky navigating the site plus they are only available between certain hours of the day. Its in the middle of nowhere. Just industrial area and other hotels. Which forces you to dine in, breakfast is decent, but dinner was bad. Feel like the food in general is cheap, but charged at a premium. Poor quality ingredients for what you are paying for. I dont expect a mcchicken burger at 18euro. I expect a real chicken breast. Not mechanical blended meat. Other than that the place is actually really nice. Im a fan of that Scandinavian minimal look. Next time i would actually still stay here but just taxi to a nearby restaurant or uber eats some nicer food instead of dining in. Staff were lovely and helpful. Decent gym too. They need slightly heavier weights but you can get a good work out with thats there. I may of got swindled as I ordered a double and they put the singles together. I didnt want to make a fuss but look out for that."

"This hotel is pretty much a standard business hotel. I'm not sure if there's any discrimination against Chinese guests, but my room was on the first floor, and since I was only staying one night, I didn't fuss about it. I chose this hotel because it's a 10-minute walk from the Line 8 metro station, thinking it would be convenient to get to the airport. However, when I walked to the station at 6:30 AM, there were groups of teenagers smoking and loitering, I'm not sure what they were doing or planning, but they definitely weren't students or commuters. It felt quite alarming, so in the end, I just hailed a taxi on the street to get to the airport. So, unless you're here for a business trip nearby, I'd recommend staying at a hotel in the city center for tourism, as taxi fares to the airport are fixed regardless of the starting point."

"Very nicely appointed and comfortable hotel. The breakfast was good and the restaurant served excellent food. The shuttle was timely and the price was good. The location is near the airport but it’s in an industrial park and there’s nothing else around so you’re kk Enid stuck there. So good for a layover nothing more. The only negative I had was the shower …it’s a bathtub with a high side to step into and the tub itself is very slippery , so if you’re older or somewhat mobility restricted the shower is a real problem"

"Staying overnight for a layover at Madrid Airport, this Marriott was an excellent choice. Unlike most hotels in Europe that only allow check-in in the afternoon, this one generally has a flexible policy. We arrived on an early flight, got to the hotel just past 9 AM, and they happily arranged for us to check in. The service attitude was also great. All the Marriott member benefits were provided, and the executive lounge is open from 7:30 AM to 10:30 PM. Besides hot food during breakfast and dinner, there are also light meals available throughout the day, which is convenient for guests checking in at different times. They even prepared a breakfast bag for us since we had an early flight and couldn't make breakfast. The hotel has a good number of rooms, and the dining and fitness facilities are all comprehensive. The pool was also quite warm. There's a free shuttle service to and from the airport and a nearby shopping mall; no reservation needed, just queue up and hop on. The pickup point at the airport's Terminal 1 is opposite gate 14. When heading to the airport, be mindful that the shuttle for T2 and T1 might not be the same vehicle."

"I booked quite late, so I could only find a place near the Retiro Park. However, the hotel room was quite spacious, over 20 square meters. The 32 bus route made it very convenient to get to various attractions and the train station. The breakfast was also quite substantial. If I get the chance next time, I'd like to stay somewhere more central for even easier transportation."

PPink323Hard Rock Hotel is conveniently located a short walk from Atocha station. The entrance has steps, and staff kindly helped with our large luggages when we went inside to ask. The lobby looks trendy and welcoming at check-in. We booked a 4-night stay in a family room for two. Paying extra, we chose family room with two washing basins, as shown on their website and confirmed verbally at check-in. However, the room given had an extra rollaway bed set up and only one basin. After reminding front desk that we didn’t need the extra bed and specifically requested two basins, there was some delay—possibly due to language barriers. Eventually, the front desk agreed to rearrange our room. We appreciated this gesture, though initially the staff seemed reluctant, repeating “it is set up like that” and showing blank faces. I had to be assertive to explain that the extra bed defeats the purpose of paying more for extra space. Hotels should understand that some guests pay extra for bigger rooms without needing extra beds. Flexibility to remove the bed would improve guest experience. If I had known, I might have paid less for a standard room. In the end, they moved us to a room without the extra bed and with two sinks. While the staff handled this without smiles, they were friendly and responsive during the rest of our stay. This was my first time at Hard Rock Hotel, and perhaps cultural differences influenced the front desk’s reaction. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with tea, coffee, and a daily bottle of water. Though bar noise was audible from downstairs, it was not disturbing, and earplugs were provided. Housekeeping was always friendly and smiling. Overall, Hard Rock Hotel has excellent facilities. I’m unsure if I’d return, but the quality of the hardware is good.

GGuest UserIf I had known the suite would have a sofa bed and two single beds, I wouldn't have booked it. The cleanliness and environment were quite good. The room was spacious, and there was a large supermarket a few hundred meters away. The microwave was very convenient. I asked room service for a bottle opener, and they charged me 6 euros. I later returned it. Remember, delivery to the room costs money, but picking it up at the front desk downstairs is free.

AAnton L.We stayed at the hotel for one night and overall had a very positive experience. The hotel is quite large and conveniently located slightly inside from the main street, in a quieter inner area. This actually makes car access very comfortable and convenient. The room itself was great — blackout curtains (which are very important for good sleep), a comfortable mattress, and everything felt clean and well maintained. The service was also good and professional. For a short stay, the price-quality ratio is absolutely fair. Overall, we were satisfied and would consider staying here again.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel boasts an excellent location, only about 15km from the airport, a quick 15-minute drive. You can also walk to the Plaza del Sol, and once you cross through it, you're essentially in the main downtown area. We had the hotel breakfast for €19 per person, which was quite reasonable given the overall prices. There was a great selection of vegetables, fruits, and meats.

GGuest UserThe apartment was hugely overpriced. The location is nowhere near the plush area of Retiro as suggested by the apartment description. The apartments are tiny with no natural light. They are very dark and depressing. The water takes a long long time to heat up. There has been money wasted on fancy bathroom sinks and wooden floors when comfort should be the number one priority. The beds are really terrible and really hard. I developed back and shoulder pain within a few hours of trying to sleep on the bed. The human spine is S shaped and if you lie on a decent bed your shoulder and hip should sink into the mattress. This offers vital comfort and support. The pillows are really cheap and uncomfortable and in the two upstairs apartments you can hear the people in the next room loud and clear. The equipment in the kitchen is very restricted. Not enough knives and forks and the cutlery provided is not suitable. Steak knives all two of them to spread butter!!! Nothing to cut loaves or other food stuffs. Half a tea towel and no kitchen towel which is not practical to buy for a 1-3 night stay. Two toilet rolls, not enough for a 3 person stay. Considering the extortionate price charged for the tiny so called Junior Suite, the owner should have provided more comfort and facilities and the beds are truly terrible and lack of sound proofing being able to hear my neighbours farting was pretty awkward. However, the lady on Reception Mayumi was absolutely wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She was kind and considerate and a real asset to the company. The male members of staff were not remotely helpful whoever they were. Not a place I would recommend and certainly not at that price with beds that feel like you are sleeping on the floor with a sheet and pillow!

AAnonymous UserWe came to the apartment at 3pm (check in time) and found out that a cleaner was still in the mid-way of cleaning. We talked to reception who immediately sent one more cleaner to help and said the apartment would he ready in 10 mins. We got into the apartment like 20 mins later and felt like that the floor might not have been mopped. I stayed there for 5 nights and found that the sole of my slippers were blackened, which always left dirty slipper print in washroom after shower. We had stayed in a 2 bedrooms 2 washrooms apartment. The furnishing however was very strange. While the master bedroom was equipped with 2 single beds placed together, the other small bedroom with only sliding door was with a double bed! My friend stayed in a 2 bedrooms 1 washroom apartment got a much better configuration which is a normal double bedroom and a twin room (as advised in website). Besides, the living room was a bit dark. On the whole, the stay was still fairly satisfactory. Reception staff was polite, helpful and efficient. Provision of basic cooking essentials including oil was good. Stuff in cleaning kit and toilet paper however was inadequate for a long stay. We needed to go to reception (opens only 0900-1700) to get additional supplies. Wish the cleaner would stock the place according to stay duration of the guests. The apartment is situated in a very convenient location. 5 mins to Metro Palos de la Frontera, 10 mins to Atocha train station, 2 mins to Carrefour Express, 7 mins to Lidl supermarket. There is also another big supermarket Dia nearby. Above all, the building provides free luggage storage facilities in 3,4 & 5 floors. You need €1 to operate the locker but you can it back when returning the key. That’s real convenient.

AAnonymous UserTo check in, you need to contact them via WhatsApp at the entrance. The staff responsible for check-ins weren't very responsive, and I had to wait 5-10 minutes, even making a call to them. However, another staff member, an uncle who manages the hostel, was incredibly warm and genuine. I forgot my locker code twice and he kindly reset it for me. The biggest downside was definitely the room, mainly due to a strong odor. Some guests' body odor was so overwhelming and the ventilation wasn't good, which severely impacted the living experience. I couldn't sleep at all that night, partly because of the pervasive snoring from many guests. The continuous snoring led me to pack my bags and leave at around 3 AM. Overall, the facilities were fine, and the downtown location is excellent, but the room smell was just too much.
