Mengjing Yayuan Hotel (Dali Ancient City)

This place is conveniently located just outside the ancient town, offering a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle. The service was excellent, and they offered a generous breakfast with four main options plus a self-service buffet. I was even given a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which was a nice touch.

Just a short walk from the ancient city, the service was incredibly warm, attentive, and thoughtful. Their recommendations for attractions and food were very professional and super helpful for first-time visitors! Plus, the breakfast was especially delicious!

Had a fantastic stay in Dali! The hotel's location is perfect, right outside the main entrance of the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient for exploring. It's a quiet oasis despite being so central. The room was clean, tidy, and soundproof, so I slept really well. The staff were attentive and thoughtful, even giving me a complimentary flower cake when I checked out – such a lovely touch! I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Dali.

We booked a few rooms. The hotel is located in the old town. It's a 40-minute drive from the high-speed rail station to the hotel. Since we were staying for two nights, the hotel kindly arranged pick-up and drop-off service to and from the high-speed rail station, which was incredibly thoughtful. On our way back, as we had an early morning high-speed train to catch, the hotel even packed breakfast for us to eat on the go, which was a very considerate touch. The hotel's hygiene was good, the rooms were spacious, and the surroundings were beautiful.
