I had a wonderful stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Lucerne, but what truly stood out was the amazing staff and their exceptional service. After I checked out, I realized I had accidentally left behind my little plushie elephant, which means a lot to me. The team kindly helped search for it, found it, and even arranged to send it to my next hotel, completely complimentary. I’m incredibly grateful to the staff for their prompt help, thoughtful follow-up, and genuine kindness throughout the whole process. Their willingness to go the extra mile really meant a lot to me. Thank you so much to the team for the wonderful service and care!

The hotel is more than 500 years old and has a sense of history. The rooms are clean and spacious. The service is warm and welcoming. The restaurant is decorated in a European classical style with a warm flavor. The hotel is in a prime location, close to the river and a 10-minute walk from the train station, which is very convenient.

First off, the location isn't too far from Lucerne train station. We had a Swiss Pass, so we could take the bus for free. We rode one stop, got off, crossed a road, and turned left – super convenient! Many bus routes pass by, and Chapel Bridge is just a walk away. The hotel upgraded us to a deluxe double room, which was much larger. There was plenty of space for luggage, and it didn't feel cramped at all. The room was clean, and they provided two large bottles of water daily, which was enough for our needs. Everything was great, and the only reason I didn't give full marks was the extra tax charged, as others have mentioned. Initially, the front desk staff was polite. When I showed them my booking confirmation, pointing out that the tax on the order differed from what I actually paid, they looked at it for a while, then unhappily replied, 'I don't know.' I ended up contacting Ctrip customer service. They told me they'd contacted the hotel but couldn't negotiate. Finally, Ctrip customer service said they would compensate the difference with points, which arrived quickly – kudos to Ctrip! Many people have brought up this tax issue, and I'm not sure where the problem lies. Other hotels in Switzerland charged exactly what was stated on the booking. Only this hotel charged differently. Although it wasn't a lot of money, it felt a bit uncomfortable. Also, someone mentioned a 100 CHF deposit per day, which they indeed charged. When I checked out, I specifically asked when it would be refunded, and the front desk said the same day, which it was. In Lucerne, there's a Chinese restaurant called No. 8 that serves delicious Chinese food, completely authentic to domestic tastes. The owner is also very nice and polite.

Good breakfast spread by swiss standards. Room was clean however the underlying structural deficits are hard to miss like bathroom getting wet after a shower as there are no shower curtains. The water is unable to be drained due to lack of drainage hole. The Trip.com booking indicated a city tax of 14 swiss francs but I was charged 16.40 swiss francs on check in for my 2 days stay.

Было позднее заселение, для нас оставили конверт с инструкцией и ключами, позвонив на ресепшен оказалось что менеджер говорит на 6 языках, в том числе и по русски, провел инструктаж удаленно. Отдельная благодарность менеджеру Bangin Salih за оперативную помощь с заселением и внимательное отношение к гостям. Было приятно чувствовать заботу и готовность помочь в любой ситуации. Очень порадовало качество постельного белья, а одеяло и подушки словно облако 💔 Чистота, сервис и особенно завтрак выше всех похвал 😍

Check out these photos of the hotel and the surrounding streets in the early morning, featuring typical European retro architecture with aged red bricks and green tiles. The best part is its proximity to the train station! Just a few steps from the train, you can drop off your luggage and completely free up your hands, avoiding the torture of dragging suitcases over the old town's cobblestone streets. The front desk service was also impeccable, both warm and professional. However, even with such a perfect location and amazing service, there's one fatal flaw – no air conditioning! Who would have thought that Switzerland in late May would defy expectations and be as hot as an oven? Accustomed to powerful air conditioning in Asia, returning to the room at night felt like a complimentary 'Swiss eco-sauna' experience. Location gets full marks, service gets full marks, but for the temperature, we had to rely on our strong willpower for some 'physical cooling'.

Really was pleasantly surprised by how good this hotel was. Comfortable clean rooms, clean towels, comfortable beds and duvets, super friendly front desk, and really great location. A special mention of the quality breakfast spread which I look forward every morning. Strongly recommended.

The hotel is very clean and well-maintained. The breakfast is typical for an Ibis, meeting expectations. Aside from the room being a bit small, everything else was great. The soundproofing is excellent; even though our room faced the street, it was very quiet. I'd recommend this for solo travelers or couples. A triple room would be a bit cramped, and you might bump your head on the top bunk if you're not careful. On the plus side, the location is fantastic with very convenient transportation. I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

This hostel felt like going to a summer camp, all noisy and with lots of companies there. At night though it was rather peaceful, but really hot due to no air conditioning in the room. Lots of convenient lockers for a deposit of 2 CHF that you get back after opening it. Showers too were as if I went to my old dormitory campus, closing with just curtains and no light in the stall behind them, but at least there were plentiful hangers and shelves. Location is pretty far but reachable with a bus, so having a free bus pass was handy (although nobody ever asked to show it). Breakfast was great, lots of choice. For being probably the cheapest option there for a solo traveler, it was really okay.

Very kind people willing to help you out with recommendations. The room is really clean and there’s enough space to have a comfortable stay! It’s pretty close to the station and with the free public transport you can easily ready the station too.
