Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood Hotels in Edinburgh

"I really enjoyed my four days. Wonderful hotel the team was very friendly and helpful at all times of the day. Great location easy to get to from the Station/airport. Good trams service along Princes Street. Plenty of buses along South Bridge which is a short walk. Enjoyed the spa facilities especially the swimming pool. The lounge near the reception area is a little chilly but a nice spot to relax with a warm drink. Overall a very pleasant stay. Would recommend. Rooms Good size room, fantastic shower and products. Bed was very comfortable. It was a tad cold so I requested a blanket which was very snug. Bonus having a fridge and complimentary water nice touch. Tea/coffee try was good but would be great to have some hot chocolate. Nearby activities Holyrood Palace and gardens on your doorstep along with great views of Arthur Seat. Five minutes walk to the Royal Mile. Food and drinks There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel. I found the food a bit hit and miss to be honest. Breakfast is great with a great choice in food for all palettes. Warm friendly service."

"The sanitation is generally quite dusty. The environment near the hotel is better. The service is generally discriminatory. The equipment is relatively old. "

"The breakfast was incredibly rich, with a wide variety of drinks, bread, sausages, bacon, cereals, and fruits – definitely filling. The location is a tiny bit out of the way, but we took the local train to the city center every day. It's a convenient 12-minute ride from Haymarket Station to Waverley Station. The room was spacious, though the facilities were a little dated. Overall, it was a good stay."

Hotel Indigo EDINBURGH - PRINCES STREET by IHG ★★★★
"Excellent, highly recommended! The location is great, facilities are complete, and the room is very spacious. Breakfast was good too. My only complaint is that when I tried to extend my stay, I was told there were no rooms available, but *********** kept showing availability and allowed bookings. What's up with that?"

"Room was quite small but very thoughtfully laid out. Bed was extremely comfortable and the amenities were good quality - Molton Brown toiletries, GHD hairdryer and Nespresso coffee machine. The complimentary drink at 5pm was a nice touch. The only downside was the lack of breakfast in the hotel itself. However, we had a good discounted breakfast at The Huxley and a 50% discount at Castle Terrace car park."

"The hotel lobby is decorated in a vintage style and offers free coffee and tea. The room facilities are very simple, there are no shoe racks, toothbrushes, or towel racks, and the hygiene is acceptable. The only thing is the delicious breakfast"

Travelodge Edinburgh Central ★★★
"Great location, just around the corner from the Royal Mile, and hop on hop off buses. We had a rental car and used the parking lot behind which is a bit of a walk with luggage for disabled persons, as no direct entry to hotel from the rear.  Breakfast is extra but was worth the £11.99 for us as we tend to snack during the day."

The Place Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel's entrance is tiny, which is quite common in the UK, so it's easy to walk right past it if you're not paying attention. Overall, the hotel's location is excellent. It's close to two small commercial centers, making shopping and dining convenient. You can also walk to the old town. The hotel service is great, and the front desk staff are very friendly, especially since they allowed us to store our luggage for free after checking out on the second day. Additionally, the hotel's cleanliness and overall environment are good. Amenities include a hairdryer, simple tea bags, and coffee sachets. The bathroom provides shower gel and shampoo, but no toothbrush or toothpaste. Hot water is available 24/7. All in all, it's small but well-equipped. The downside is that there's no elevator, which is quite inconvenient if you're older or have mobility issues, as you'd have to carry your luggage upstairs yourself."

Norton House Hotel & Spa ★★★★
"We were two couples in our forties. One of us was celebrating a birthday, and the hotel added a special touch to the room. Complimentary water, milk, and pastries were provided daily. The hotel was spotless. There was a heated pool and a hot therapy pool—but only a two-hour stay was allowed. The room was meticulously maintained, and all the facilities were excellent. If you're looking for a centrally located hotel, this isn't it, but it's worth staying here and using Uber to get to the city center. Breakfast was à la carte."
