"I bought a pre-sale package on Ctrip, and the front desk ended up upgrading me to an executive suite on the second floor. Although the hotel isn't brand new, the decor is still quite good – it feels substantial and elegant. The breakfast spread was excellent, and the two-person set menu at Shang Palace was also delicious. Ms. Guo at the front desk was particularly attentive and thoughtful; she made me feel right at home from check-in to check-out. With great facilities, food, and service, the Shangri-La Hotel Lhasa is truly good value for money."

"As expected from a St. Regis, the location is excellent, very close to Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street. They have an independent underground parking garage with both slow and fast charging stations, which is incredibly important! The butler upgraded us to a beautiful, spacious suite, and the complimentary yak yogurt was delicious. The oxygen concentrator in the room was powerful and worked very well. Breakfast was rich and tasty. Ruth's service was exceptional. The drinks at the terrace bar were also great, and you can enjoy the night view of Potala Palace. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay."

"I absolutely love Farly Hotel. The staff, both the ladies and gentlemen, are incredibly kind and welcoming. The hotel offers a wide range of activities, like spinning prayer wheels and performing sang offerings. I particularly recommend the evening sound bath experience and the morning Pilates. The instructor's stretching exercises really helped improve my posture. I also woke up early to watch the sunrise, but there's a mountain to the east of Farly, so the sun actually appears about 45 minutes after the official sunrise time. Still, it was a beautiful sight."

She completely redefined my perception of high-end hotel service, making us feel incredibly warm and cared for in the high-altitude environment of the ******* Plateau. Even before our official check-in, Dekyi proactively reached out to us with thoughtful communication, meticulously inquiring about our travel times and specific needs for our stay. Given the unique challenges of Lhasa's high altitude, she patiently provided essential advice on traveling, rest, and diet for high-altitude environments. She even adjusted our room's equipment and prepared oxygen facilities in advance, tailored to our situation, to help prevent altitude sickness. By pre-arranging every check-in detail, she ensured we felt completely reassured and cared for even before we arrived. Upon arrival and during our stay, Dekyi's service continued to be meticulous and attentive in every detail. She was gentle and sincere in her demeanor, yet efficient and reliable in her actions, patiently following up on our experience throughout. She regularly checked on our well-being and meticulously answered all our questions about sightseeing and dining. Whenever we had a request, she was always there to respond immediately and resolve it efficiently and properly. Her service was just right—never intrusive, yet always comprehensive, balancing professionalism with warmth. In the unfamiliar high-altitude environment, Dekyi, with her twelve years of dedication and passion, provided care that felt like family. There was no perfunctory, by-the-book service, only genuine effort. Every single detail showcased the professional caliber of a high-end butler. I truly commend Dekyi (Nancy) for her outstanding service! It's because of dedicated, responsible, and warmly enthusiastic staff like her that our stay on the ******* Plateau was so exceptionally fulfilling and heartwarming. The next time I come to Lhasa, the InterContinental Lhasa Paradise will still be my first choice, and I will definitely be looking for Butler Dekyi again!"

"The hotel was absolutely amazing. I arrived around 8 PM, and they immediately offered me sweet tea and asked me to sit down and rest. The hotel staff had already checked me in. The air conditioning and oxygen generator were already on in the room, and the white fungus porridge on the table was at the perfect temperature. The overall facilities were excellent, the shower gel smelled wonderful, and the room was very clean. The kettle boiled water quickly, and the service was great. The only downside was the TV; it could be upgraded. The breakfast was delicious, especially the rice noodles—I ate two bowls! The chicken sausage was also excellent; many dishes featured beef and chicken, which are suitable for ethnic minorities, which was a big plus. The stir-fried ******* noodles were delicious, and the yogurt was also very good. However, the toppings were just average, and the honey was a little too sweet. But overall, it was fantastic. They first poured me a cup of tea, then I asked for hot milk, and they even prepared hot coffee for me – very thoughtful. The next morning, I had to catch a flight at 7 am, so I asked the hotel if they could prepare breakfast, and they thoughtfully provided bread, water, and milk. The hotel offered a choice between afternoon tea and evening drinks; I chose the drinks because I was busy in the afternoon and didn't go for the afternoon tea, but the drinks were truly amazing and delicious. Just look at the pictures! They gave me a gin and tonic, the orange one was Blood and Sand, the one with cucumber was Moscow Mule, and the red wine was Sangria. That was my order. The Blood and Sand and Sangria were very good (I recommend drinking the Sangria last). I also left an unused oxygen cylinder for you."

"The front desk lady provided exceptional service. Her eyes would crinkle when she smiled, and as soon as she saw me, she gently placed a 'khata' (a traditional ceremonial scarf) on my shoulder, wishing me 'Tashi Delek' (a ******* greeting). She also offered me a cup of snow chrysanthemum tea, explaining it helps with altitude sickness. The front desk had a traditional ******* design, with every detail reflecting the simplicity and thoughtfulness of ******* culture. Her service was beyond amazing: Seeing I was alone, she proactively helped carry my luggage to my room. She even squatted down to show me how to use the humidifier and oxygen panel. When I mentioned wanting to visit Jokhang Temple, she not only told me how to take the bus but also drew a route for me. On checkout day, I was up early, and she actually prepared a packed breakfast for me in a cloth bag, telling me, 'Don't go hungry on the road.' This kind of sisterly care truly brought tears to my eyes. The value for money is truly excellent: Honestly, decent hotels in Lhasa aren't cheap, but the price here was very reasonable. The room was spacious and clean, and with the oxygen on at night, I didn't experience any altitude sickness at all. The breakfast even included noodles, tsampa, and butter tea, so I ate my fill before heading out, saving me from buying lunch. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, and a taxi to Potala Palace is just the starting fare. The money saved on transportation was enough to buy a bunch of souvenirs. After this stay, I felt the money was incredibly well-spent. Not because it was cheap, but because of the warmth that felt like coming home. Next time I'm in Lhasa, I'll definitely stay here again! 🙏"

"What an amazing hotel, the rooms are immaculate and mine had a view of Potalo palace. The food is delicious, amazing breakfast buffet with very high quality items and the restaurant food was succulent. Also. When staying at Songtsam, make sure to have a massage at their spa. The Spa lady Tenzin phuti is so knowledgeable and will give you a massage like you never had before. A must do at the hotel. Big thank you to Sonam, English speaking lady who took good care of me and her English was brilliant. Overall, Songtsam is an amazing hotel and you won’t regret staying there!"

"Highly recommended! This Tibetan-style 5-star hotel offers exceptional value for money and boasts a unique charm unlike any other 5-star hotel. Although ******* in style, the rooms and hotel design and decor still exude a luxurious and modern feel. There's a coffee shop, tea house, and laundry service across the street, making dining and tea breaks incredibly convenient. Laundry services are also super cheap for hotel guests. There's also a huge parking lot across the street, which will be a boon for those with parking anxiety. The service is truly outstanding; all the staff are incredibly welcoming. I originally planned to stay a few more nights, but unfortunately, I suffered from severe altitude sickness and had to leave Lhasa early."
