"Me and my partner stayed at the Code Pod - the court. Wow, we absolutely loved this stay. We had never stayed in a hostel style hotel before, and this exceed all expectations. We loved that it was in an old court house and each room was unique. We loved it explained about the room. It was super unique being modern while also keeping its history themed. It was super clean and great amenities. The staff were super helpful and friendly. And the location couldn’t have been better, we had a day tour booked and didn’t realise the meeting point was right out side of our hotel, how easy !! Burgers and beer and the wing shop was also next door and they were to die for I’ve never had any food like it I would highly recommend trying these. Also if you’re looking for a fun unique bar with live music around the corner I’d highly suggest the labyrinth, it’s like a maze in the underground vaults. I would highly recommended this hotel to anyone looking for something unique, an amazing location, and friendly staff. The best of everything was so close. Wow, wow. In love with this hotel."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at CODE The Loft - Edinburgh. The facility is super-clean, including my pod / bed to sleep, a shower and toilet on the second floor, as well as the kitchen and the common room on the ground floor behind the reception. I stayed in a 6-female dormitory for 1 night, and I found that the room was surprisingly quiet, even though all the beds were fully booked up."

"Kick Ass Greyfriars is absolutely spotless one of the cleanest hostels I’ve stayed in! I felt completely safe throughout my stay. The bathrooms were well-kept and fresh, and the reception desk staff were so nice and welcoming. Would definitely recommend! Solo or with friends & family book without doubt. ."

"I stayed at Edinburgh Backpackers Hostel for one night, from 5 July to 6 July 2026, and overall it was a good experience. The location is excellent, especially for travellers who want to explore Edinburgh on foot. It is very convenient for the city centre, restaurants, shops and many of the main attractions. This made it a great choice for a short stay in Edinburgh. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the check-in process was straightforward. The hostel had a relaxed and lively atmosphere, and it was a good place to meet other travellers. The room and shared areas were reasonably clean and comfortable for a backpackers’ hostel. As it is located in a busy part of the city, there can be some noise, particularly at night, so light sleepers may want to bring earplugs. The facilities are fairly basic, but they are adequate for a short stay and reasonable for the price. Overall, I would recommend Edinburgh Backpackers Hostel to solo travellers and backpackers looking for a convenient, affordable and centrally located place to stay. I would consider staying here again on my next visit to Edinburgh."

"When I was about to check in, I got in a big queue, but the room and the hostel were very neat and clean. In my life, this is the best hostel I've ever stayed in. I can't believe this hostel can be operated and kept so clean. You can also enjoy all FIFA matches here. There are so many televisions here. They also have lockers to keep your bag pack if your flight is later than the check-out time. Hostel management takes my love and that of and my small country, Bangladesh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇧🇩"

"The hostel is clean and close to the Meadows. Good experience overall, the dining room is cute. Public area gets cleaned regularly, the bed was comfortable. The only thing I would say is that some bathrooms don’t have mirrors, would be good to have."

"Very good living choice, very close to the train station, there are two small supermarkets next door, the supporting kitchen facilities are very complete, convenient for cooking, the service staff can also be very good, you can also store your luggage for free, the only regret is that you will check out at 10 am"
