"Overall, my stay was very pleasant. The university campus atmosphere was lovely, and the environment was quiet and relaxed. The apartment building has excellent security; you need to swipe your room card to enter, which made me feel very safe. 📍 **Transportation:** From Edinburgh Waverley Station, I took a bus to the Commonwealth Pool stop. From there, it was a 7-minute walk to the front desk with my luggage to check in. Within a 10-minute walk of the apartment, there's a commercial street with plenty of restaurants, making dining very convenient. 🏠 **Room Type:** I booked a twin room with an private bathroom. The room was clean and bright, though the space felt a bit cramped after placing my 28-inch suitcase. 🚿 **Bathroom:** The apartment doesn't provide shower gel or shampoo, so you need to bring your own. The showerhead was fixed and not adjustable, and the water pressure was a bit low. The bathroom has a heated towel rail, but the towels provided were quite dirty, so I'd recommend bringing your own. 🍳 **Communal Kitchen:** Other guests mentioned a communal kitchen, but we tried swiping our card and couldn't open the door, so we weren't able to use it. 🧺 **Facilities:** There's a self-service laundry room on the LG floor. Washing starts from £2 for about 30 minutes, and drying costs £1 for an hour, which is very affordable. The apartment doesn't provide laundry detergent, so you need to bring your own. 🍽️ **Breakfast:** You need your room card to enter the restaurant. The dining area is spacious, and the breakfast selection covers all the basics and was sufficient. You can enjoy breakfast before checking out. 🧳 **Service:** Free luggage storage is available, which is a great bonus! 👍"

"Everything was great. It's open 24/7, and online check-in is available, which saves a lot of time. We booked a studio, and the room was clean, with a microwave, fridge, stove, and dishes. There was unlimited hot water, and towels were provided with the key. The city center is a pleasant 25-minute walk away."

"I have to say the location is good; the room was clean and the amenities were fine. But THE MATTRESS is of terrible quality. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with even a slight backache, no matter what. It's so soft that the springs dig into you, and if you spend 3 nights there, like I did, you'll leave with muscle knots. I do NOT recommend it. For me, after cleanliness, the mattress is one of the most important things. And this one is a -10."

"Room was quite small but very thoughtfully laid out. Bed was extremely comfortable and the amenities were good quality - Molton Brown toiletries, GHD hairdryer and Nespresso coffee machine. The complimentary drink at 5pm was a nice touch. The only downside was the lack of breakfast in the hotel itself. However, we had a good discounted breakfast at The Huxley and a 50% discount at Castle Terrace car park."

"The room was clean; however, it was poorly lit, and the dark wall colors did not help at all. Although we chose a room without windows, we did not expect such poor ventilation or effectively none at all. Our room was located on the ground floor, and there was no reception, while the hotel Wi-Fi also did not work downstairs. Soundproofing was very poor, which contributed to a situation that left us quite dissatisfied. While my friend was in the common area trying to get a connection, she was disturbed by guests who were clearly intoxicated and were rude and abusive towards her. When I went to get her, I was also sworn at, and we quickly returned to our room to avoid the situation. She also noticed that several people passing through seemed to be familiar with these guests and did not acknowledgethe ongoing situation. Later in the evening, around 21:00, one guest began crying loudly and there was a heated argument between them and another guest. Due to the poor soundproofing, we could hear everything clearly. We tried contacting reception about the situation, but they did not answer our calls. We felt unsafe leaving the room. Eventually, someone came down and only asked the guests if they were okay, and the situation was left unresolved. The noise continued for quite some time, and our sleep was significantly disturbed. Overall, we felt unsafe staying here."

"The top choice for a solo traveler in Edinburgh! First off, the hotel's location is superb. St Giles' Cathedral is right outside, and it's easy to walk everywhere. I managed to walk to all the attractions in Edinburgh during my stay. I was worried the capsule room might be stuffy, but it wasn't at all! It was incredibly hot in the UK these past few days, and Edinburgh was no exception, but the room actually had air conditioning! It was so comfortable at night I even needed a blanket. The common areas are also very convenient. The only slight drawback is that you can't cook, only have simple snacks. The hotel is newly opened, so many facilities are brand new. When I first arrived, I found it a bit easy to get lost with all the doors, but the staff were very friendly. I had waffles at the ground floor restaurant and got a 15% discount, which was a great deal! Highly recommended!"

"An excellent stay, especially thanks to Mr. Sajal at the front desk who was incredibly kind and helpful, making our visit much more comfortable and welcoming. The room was very cozy, and the location is super convenient. The breakfast was delicious. After breakfast, it's just a short stroll to St. Mary's Cathedral. The hotel's surroundings are very quiet and pleasant, away from the hustle and bustle, yet still close to Princes Street and the Castle."

"Although it's a bit of a walk to most of Edinburgh's main tourist attractions (averaging about 30 minutes), Calton Hill is only a 10-minute stroll away. There's also the St James Quarter, a shopping center with everything you could need, just a 5-minute walk from the hotel, along with an affordable Tesco supermarket at the same distance. Plus, if you're doing a Rabbie's Tour like I did (I went to the Isle of Skye), the hotel is super close to the departure point at Edinburgh Bus Station, about a 3-minute walk. The only slight drawback was my room was on the basement level with no elevator, making check-in and check-out a bit of a struggle. The staff offered to help with my bags, but mine was really heavy, so I felt a bit awkward asking. You might want to take them up on their offer! (Bonus tip: Directly across from Tesco, you'll find the Sherlock Holmes statue and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Birthplace – a pleasant surprise for fans!)"

"It is about a 15-minute bus ride from the city center, so it may be inconvenient if you want to leave your luggage and go sightseeing. There are multiple bus routes, so waiting times were not particularly inconvenient. The hotel does not have a reception, and there is only one management staff member during the day, and after you are given your key at check-in, you are free to do as you please. I thought the hotel was suitable for a trip where you just want to stay. The room was old, but the fabric was clean and the bed was not too soft, but comfortable to sleep on. The shower door was not fitted to the correct size, so the shower water leaked into the toilet. We had to think about how to turn the shower so that it would not leak. The surrounding area is a high-class, quiet residential area, and if you take a walk in the spring flowers bloom, you can enjoy the gardens of each house."
