Code Pod – the Court - Edinburgh

Fantastic location, right on the Royal Mile! I booked the 12-person dorm, which turned out to be a bit too many people for me. Unfortunately, there was also someone with body odor. However, everyone else was very quiet. The common areas were clean and promptly tidied, with no unpleasant smells. This was my first hostel experience, and as a Pisces, I found it a bit challenging, mainly because I'm worried about disturbing others.

The place is very clean, and everyone is quiet and respectful. Cam at the front desk was also very welcoming. It's a great spot for solo travelers. The safety and privacy are quite good. There's a bar downstairs, and maybe because the building used to be a prison, the soundproofing is excellent. A really good experience overall!

An exceptionally good hostel experience! First, the location is fantastic, literally just 10 meters from Guildford Cathedral – an absolutely unbeatable spot. The capsule-style beds are much better than standard bunk beds, offering greater privacy. You can draw the curtain, charge your devices inside, and there's a small light. The hygiene was also excellent. Highly recommended!

Facilities: Pretty good, but the hot water pressure felt a bit low. Cleanliness: Decent, didn't need to make my own bed. Location: Very convenient, right near the train station and the old town center. Service: Alright. However, the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, and the taste was just so-so.

It was relatively clean. Other guests' belongings in the room were a bit messy, but there were lockable lockers. The front desk staff were also very welcoming, and there's free WiFi. It seems like you can also participate in activities at the hostel. The bathrooms and everything were quite clean. Someone snored at night, so my sleep was just okay.

I visited at the end of March, and Edinburgh was still quite cold, especially with the strong winds. The hostel's location is excellent, right by the church on the Royal Mile, making it easy to walk to all the other famous attractions. The room was very clean, and even though I booked a mixed dorm, I was kindly placed in an all-female room. The bed was clean, with a USB charging port, a privacy curtain, a lockable locker, and a shoe cabinet. The communal bathrooms and toilets were spacious, with each shower stall having a separate wet and dry area, plus a hairdryer. I highly recommend having breakfast at the hostel; the waffle I ordered was huge, and guests get a discount. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

The room was absolutely lovely, with a simple yet cozy design. In the center was a large white bed, and the bedding was as soft as a cloud. Opposite the bed was a glass door that opened completely, leading to a private balcony. Standing on the balcony, you could hear the waves gently crashing against the rocks, as if the world consisted only of the sea and yourself.
