The room was incredibly spacious, with a separate living room. I'd definitely want to stay here long-term if I visit Scotland again. The room was very quiet, and the living room sofa converts into a bed. All the appliances were high-end brands like Dyson and Smeg. The only downside was the lack of on-site parking. There's an NCP car park under the bridge a bit further down, costing around £25 per night. The hotel is very close to the castle, about a 5-minute walk, and about 10 minutes from the city center. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, which is very convenient.

Hotel is really close to the Edinburgh airport (within walking distance). The room is relatively spacious and cosy. It's a good place to stay overnight if you have an early flight to catch the next day.

Positive- great location, a short walk to everywhere. We are enjoying the complimentary coffee from the dining area, auto check in machine, newly renovated room and great ventilation, comfortable bed. Negative- no cups, tea and coffee in the room. Our room in the basement and the look out was a bit grimly, the bathroom water is leaking out to the outside floor.

This hotel, nestled at the foot of Calton Hill, was the perfect summer escape. It's incredibly convenient for exploring Calton Hill and other attractions, including the train station. Just across the road, there's a John Lewis department store, making it a quiet oasis right in the heart of things. The rooms are spacious, and I loved that there were plenty of outlets for charging all my devices 😅. Before heading out for a Highlands tour, I grabbed some water, chocolates, and snacks from the small shop opposite the Reception, which was super convenient. The staff were patient and helpful, which I really appreciated. Next time I'm in Edinburgh, I definitely want to try the hotel's 1802 restaurant, I've heard good things about it. Plus, the seating area right outside the hotel entrance was great for resting and managing luggage. 👍

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast offered a great variety of options. It's within walking distance to all the city's attractions. I especially recommend the Sofia Restaurant downstairs; their food is top-notch. The grilled lamb chops and stewed lamb shank were delicious and reasonably priced. I ended up eating there twice!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, very clean, and looked newly decorated. The swimming pool was a decent size and well-maintained. While the breakfast options were a bit limited, the food served was satisfactory. The location is not in the very center of the city, but the neighborhood felt very safe and secure.

Nice and spacious room,with comfortable bed, Starbucks is right down the lobby, really short commute to the city centre and the airport, the bus stops are just outside the hotel, definitely I would go again.

This might be the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff at reception were incredibly helpful. Our room was very large and had recently been renovated. Has plenty of windows, beds were very comfortable.We had a little kitchen and a dining table as well. The breakfast was varied and delicious. Because it's near the university, there are plenty of options for eating out. Despite having over 100 rooms, we never felt like the hotel was crowded. This would definitely be my next hotel if I go back.

This hotel is really convenient for transport. It's close to the airport, and right next to the train station, from which it's only a 12-minute direct ride to the city center. It's just as good as those hotels in the city that cost over a thousand [currency unit] a night! Plus, there's a super big supermarket next door, which is perfect for picking up souvenirs. Just a heads-up: the hotel's standard is to clean every three days, so if you prefer daily cleaning, remember to arrange it when you check in!

The room quality is on par with a 3-star hotel in China. The hotel staff were very friendly and provided excellent service, but the room layout was quite odd and winding. The bed wasn't very big either. It's super convenient if you want to visit Calton Hill, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're primarily interested in the city center, as it's about a 20-minute walk.
