Calvin.311The service was truly exceptional. My first stay was in Manchester, and the overall ambiance of the hotel was fantastic. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed it. So, when we saw that this apartment was available in Edinburgh as well, we didn’t hesitate to book it.🤩The Edinburgh Castle can be seen from the hotel’s entrance, and the street scene next to the hotel is also quite beautiful.

Guest UserHotel is really close to the Edinburgh airport (within walking distance). The room is relatively spacious and cosy. It's a good place to stay overnight if you have an early flight to catch the next day.

Our favorite hotel of the trip! It was clean and comfortable, and we loved that we could cast to the TV. The bathroom had excellent wet/dry separation. Breakfast was £15 and had a great variety. Even if you don't opt for breakfast, they offer complimentary coffee and hot water all day. Plus, it's within walking distance to all the main attractions.

WaerjizagandeThe hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Edinburgh. The front desk staff were very helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. I hope they can put a microwave on the ground floor for guests to use.

Guest UserThe location is fantastic! It's just a 4-minute walk from the train station, and there's a large shopping mall right downstairs, making one-stop shopping super convenient. Victoria, the manager at the front desk, was incredibly warm and helpful. When she learned we weren't happy with our room's orientation, she specially reserved a room for us on our next booking, giving us a wonderful view that really lifted our spirits. The downsides are that the bathroom is really tiny; there's no space for toiletries. Also, housekeeping response time is extremely slow, over half an hour. Plus, the pillows are very high and uncomfortable, giving me a stiff neck!

amyun.myunAs a location, I think this is a very nice hotel to stay in; however, for a 5-star hotel, I expected a much higher level of service.
We were disappointed by several issues during our stay. First, housekeeping knocked on our door around 8 a.m., waking us up to ask if we needed cleaning. We requested the service, but when we returned to our room around 3 p.m., it had not been cleaned. Even after we went out to dinner and returned later that evening, the room was still not cleaned.
Additionally, while my friend and I were resting in the room, the door had not been closed properly and was slightly open. A hotel staff then opened the door without knocking, which made us feel very uncomfortable.
Another issue occurred when my friend ordered food via Deliveroo. The order was marked as delivered, but we could not find it. We asked the lobby ambassador for assistance, but she was not helpful at all. We eventually found the order ourselves, placed on the concierge desk.
Overall, the service from the staff was very disappointing and felt cold and unwelcoming. While I would recommend the hotel for its location, the level of service was far below what I would expect from a 5-star hotel.

A^3We booked this hotel not knowing that it is literally next to the zoo. So it was a pleasant surprise and we decided to include the Edinburgh Zoo as part of our itinerary when we were there. There’re bus stops infront of the hotel that conveniently transport us to the city centre in 15min; as well as to the airport. The bus systems there are superb and most of the times the buses arrived on schedule.
There are no bottled mineral water, toothbrushes, toothpaste, comb or other sanitary products (except for shower gel, shampoo and handwash) provided in the room. However, there is a note pasted in the toilet that one has to ask for these items at the reception counter if one requires any of these. We didnt notice the pasted note in the toilet; thus we did not ask for these during our stay..
We were also surprised that there was no mini fridge or safe which are normally provided in a hotel room. Nonetheless we were happy when there’s an iron and ironing board in our room.
We noticed that the housekeeping service usually starts around 9am. We were in the room at around 9.30am when someone from the housekeeping dept tried to open the door. So if you intend to wake up late, we suggest to keep your door locked and latched. Their housekeeping is efficient as we think they need to be on schedule but many times our used cups were not cleaned thoroughly (or replaced) as there were still stains in the cups. 1 day 1 of our half-drink bottled drinks was removed from the table which we presumed the housekeeper could have thrown it away.
On the whole, it’s a pleasant stay for our family.

Guest UserThe hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and I had the chance to see both the pre-renovation and post-renovation rooms. There's a significant difference. The older rooms were just 'okay,' but the renovated ones are absolutely beautiful, on par with five-star hotels in China. The location is fantastic, right next to the large green spaces of the University of Edinburgh, and many attractions are within walking distance. Plus, there are plenty of Chinese restaurants nearby. My only minor disappointment is that the hotel kitchen only has a microwave, no induction hob, so you can't really cook for yourself.

nobody*Free parking is available. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the location is very convenient. It's close to amenities like gas stations, supermarkets, and fast food outlets. The city center is only about a 30-minute walk away, and you can easily catch a bus to various tourist attractions. The staff are friendly, and they kindly offered a complimentary late check-out. Overall, I was very satisfied.

The room quality is on par with a 3-star hotel in China. The hotel staff were very friendly and provided excellent service, but the room layout was quite odd and winding. The bed wasn't very big either. It's super convenient if you want to visit Calton Hill, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're primarily interested in the city center, as it's about a 20-minute walk.
