"I booked this chain hotel for an early flight the next morning. It advertised free late-night congee from 8 PM to midnight. I arrived at 10 PM, but there was only a tiny bit of plain white congee left. When I asked the staff, they said they only provide congee and no other varieties. However, I've stayed at several Qiuguo chain hotels in Beijing before, and their late-night congee always included small buns, steamed rolls, biscuits, yogurt, etc., in addition to plain congee. I don't understand why different hotels under the same brand offer different things.
Upon entering the room, I saw a small sign on the desk that read, 'Equipped with a fresh air ventilator,' and I knew it was for pay-per-use scanning, but I couldn't find the device anywhere in the room. Another sign said, 'Travel helper,' but I couldn't find that in the room either, and the staff didn't give me one at check-out. I've stayed at other hotels near the airport before, and the staff always gave out a small bag of travel essentials at check-out.
It's not that I absolutely needed the free congee or the small complimentary items. It's more that I feel a bit misled. Anyway, if I ever need to stay at a hotel near the airport the day before a business trip again, I definitely won't choose this one."
