This hotel, part of the Gulf Hotel Group, stands out as a high-end property, primarily known for its hot springs. Beyond that, it boasts an impressive array of amenities including a family-friendly kids' paradise, hiking trails, a space-themed sports complex, and a wellness center offering treatments like sound bowl therapy, head meditation, and full-body essential oil massages. Our butler, Luna Zhang, provided exceptionally warm and thoughtful service. She helped us set up the family beds and surprised us with fruit and ice cream, which delighted the children. For those interested in hiking, the room key cards conveniently include a hiking map. The 5-kilometer mountain trail with its 'Eight Planets' viewing platforms is perfect for a family-friendly climb, offering great photo opportunities at each stop.

My stay at the Waldorf Astoria Beijing was absolutely perfect, earning a full five-star review! I experienced both the main building and the traditional courtyard rooms. The location is superb, right next to Wangfujing and within walking distance to the Forbidden City, making getting around incredibly convenient. The hotel's design is truly unique and thoughtful. The rooms are spacious and elegant, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the amenities are high-quality and smell wonderful – every detail shows great care. Our butler, Willow, provided attentive and thoughtful service; she was warm, polite, and perfectly balanced, never being intrusive. The breakfast spread was extensive, featuring both authentic Beijing specialties and delicious Western options. The afternoon tea was beautiful and tasted just as good as it looked. This is definitely the top luxury hotel to stay at when visiting Beijing. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay, and I was very satisfied. The front desk staff saw I had a child and kindly upgraded us to a more spacious room, which was very convenient as it allowed my aunt and me to have separate areas to look after the little one. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful, even assisting with our luggage. The toiletries are consistently excellent; the orange-scented lotion was a hit with the kids. The hotel is well-maintained, and the pleasant scent in the room was a nice touch. We enjoyed dinner at the Zijin Pavilion on the third floor, and the service was outstanding. Breakfast was served on the first floor and had a good selection of Western dishes. My child keeps saying they want to stay here again. Highly recommended!

I stayed here in July, and the hotel grounds were truly stunning. Lush greenery was everywhere, making a stroll through the area incredibly atmospheric. I particularly enjoyed the traditional cultural experiences arranged by the hotel; they were relaxing and truly rejuvenating. In the mornings, I could wander freely through the grounds, immersing myself in nature, and in the afternoons, I found peace in transcribing Buddhist scriptures and participating in interesting intangible cultural heritage craft workshops. There were also explanations of ancient architecture, and I learned a lot about traditional Chinese buildings. The room conditions were good, and having a bathtub was a real plus – a soak after exploring was incredibly stress-relieving. The room was well-equipped with a coffee machine and various teas. The front desk staff were very efficient, making the check-in process smooth and hassle-free. However, a minor drawback was that some of the in-room fixtures showed signs of aging and could use regular maintenance and repair. Overall, this place is a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle, balancing beautiful natural scenery with rich cultural experiences. It’s an excellent spot for a relaxing getaway or a short break. If they regularly upgrade the room hardware in the future, the overall experience would be even more perfect. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet vacation and a taste of traditional culture.

First off, the hotel environment is excellent, situated on Yanqi Island with an abundance of greenery everywhere you look. It's right next to the International Convention Center and Yanqi Pagoda. After breakfast, you can stroll through the restaurant area to enjoy Yanqi Lake. Secondly, the service is incredibly thoughtful. The day before our arrival, they called to inform us they had upgraded our room type for free. Upon arrival, every staff member was smiling, proactively greeting us and helping with our luggage. There were also thoughtful welcome teas and complimentary drinks. The handsome Leo Liu patiently explained everything. The room itself was spacious, elegant, and spotless, with no unpleasant odors. As someone usually picky about hotel bedding, I surprisingly didn't even use my own disposable bed and pillow covers this time. From the room's balcony, with a push of the window, you could see lush green lawns and lake views, which made our family trip feel particularly pleasant and relaxing. All in all, an unforgettable and satisfying stay!

Having stayed at many five-star hotels in Beijing, this one currently reigns supreme. First off, the views are unbeatable; you get a panoramic sweep of iconic skyscrapers like the CCTV Headquarters and Fortune Plaza. The night lights are spectacular, truly embodying the city's vibrant spirit. On the day I checked in, there was a minor issue that was quickly resolved by upgrading my room. The 64th-floor lounge offers 24-hour free-flow drinks. While the variety isn't extensive, it generally meets most executive lounge expectations. The coffee, however, is quite good. The happy hour on the 80th floor had decent pastries. Hot dishes were replenished quickly, and the service was excellent. The breakfast buffet is absolutely top-notch, combining à la carte and buffet options. The à la carte seafood millet porridge, with generous portions of scallops, sea cucumber, and shrimp, was incredibly comforting – I had two bowls. The egg tarts, fresh from the oven, were also outstanding; flaky crust, not too sweet, simply delicious. I recommend going before 9:30 AM for breakfast to snag a window seat and enjoy it at leisure. The room had many thoughtful details. For instance, the Nespresso machine already had water in it, and the instructions were incredibly simple – just pop in a capsule. In most hotels of the same caliber, I'd usually have to add water and plug it in myself. The large bathtub came with a headrest, and bath towels were conveniently placed within reach above. Even under the sink, there was an anti-slip towel mat, making every corner of the room feel meticulously arranged for comfort. The pool on the 78th floor is open until 11 PM. There are also two steam rooms and a massage pool, perfect for relaxing. I'm already planning to try a room with a view next time.

I booked two rooms, and it included breakfast for children under 12 the next day, as well as a mini-bar. We also enjoyed a complimentary photo shoot on Yanqi Island in designated areas during our stay, which was quite nice! We traveled with a six-year-old child, and the hotel has a kids' play area, but the room didn't have children's toothbrushes or cups. For family trips, I'd recommend bringing your own.

The hotel itself is great, I can't really fault it. The design is artistic, and both the facilities and service attitude are excellent. It offers good value for money in Beijing. There's a mall downstairs, making it convenient for dining or ordering takeout. However, the quality of some hotel guests is just bizarre. The couple next door were absolute animals, treating the hotel like their own personal movie set. I had just had a cosmetic procedure and my face was throbbing. I was hoping for a quiet night's rest. Instead, I was driven to my wit's end by the incessant noise from these two all night long. The first 'show' started at 7 PM. The screaming was like someone being butchered, so loud I honestly thought there was a ghost. There was even a sound like glass breaking, and I almost put on a Buddhist chant. On closer listening, it turned out to be the woman yelling 'hubby' and 'don't want to'. It ended abruptly after five minutes, at least they had some shred of dignity left. Then at 2:30 AM, it started again, waking both my boyfriend and me. For over half an hour, it was non-stop 'ah ah ah, oh oh oh, ho ho ho,' 'so hard,' 'so deep,' and the guy was constantly dirty talking. The noise was so loud it sounded like they'd moved their bed right outside my window. This isn't a *******, and there are children staying here. Can't you two have some common decency? No one is interested in your late-night adult film live stream. If you're going to be so 'talented,' at least cover your mouths and shut the door completely. Don't make your neighbors your unwilling audience. I'm just an innocent guest who just had surgery. And after all that, they still wouldn't quiet down, continuing to talk loudly and cackle like ****** until 5 AM. It was as if they were the only two people in the entire building, with no sound from any other room. I only went to sleep when they finally stopped talking, and the next day my eyes looked like a 'sad frog'. The moment I thought about calling the front desk, they'd go silent, and the moment I tried to sleep, they'd start up again. What exactly was the point of all that?

Our butler, Clint, provided thoughtful and meticulous service. He communicated with us a day in advance, inquiring about our needs, and was quick and patient in responding to our personalized requests later on. This made entertaining friends and relaxing both easy and comfortable. Furthermore, the room service was exceptionally attentive. The attendant, Nie Guangxia, was warm and polite, offering considerate service. She not only helped with ironing clothes but also provided extra delightful touches during turndown service (preparing makeup remover, cotton pads, mouthwash, and laundry detergent). 1The hotel also offered two complimentary cocktails, with a choice of six, which we enjoyed while taking in the beautiful night view of Beijing. The breakfast was incredibly rich, with both à la carte options and a buffet. I especially loved the beef noodles; the beef was in large chunks, and the flavor was rich and delicious. The Beijing sugar pancakes were also crispy and tasty. The best part is that breakfast runs until 10:30 AM, allowing for a good night's sleep before a leisurely breakfast. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with this stay!

The hotel boasts stunning views of Yanqi Lake. I brought my parents to stay, and they upgraded us to a lake view room. The scenery was beautiful, and we could see the winter Yanqi Lake sparkling under the sunlight. We could sit on the bay window in the room, drink tea, and enjoy the view. The room facilities were complete, the bedding was comfortable, the restaurant food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Every aspect of our experience was great. The staff were friendly and professional, from guiding us during check-in to responding quickly to our daily needs. The hotel's cultural tour and tea ceremony experience were both wonderful, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the charm of Song dynasty aesthetics.
