Zuogeyoushenfenderen88I've been to Gubei Water Town a few times, and each time, I've stayed at the Gubei Light Hotel. There were years in between my visits, and it wasn't that I deliberately chose this hotel; it just consistently came out on top when I compared all the options. This time, the service was even better! Manager Zhao Benlin provided attentive service throughout, from confirming my reservation after booking to communicating during my stay – everything was comprehensive. They even accommodated our small requests, from the welcome fruit upon arrival to a send-off when we left, which made us feel very comfortable. A big thumbs up to Manager Zhao! Next time I go, I won't even bother looking at other options; I'll just contact Manager Zhao directly! 👍

okjszThis place is definitely worth a visit. It's huge inside and uniformly managed. The hotel is very large with many rooms, but the quality of the staff varies. Some front desk staff are excellent, while others are quite poor, but since they don't wear name tags, I can't identify specific individuals. On my floor, I was fortunate to meet a wonderful and very responsible auntie (Liang Chunyu). She was very dedicated, helpful, and explained everything I asked clearly. The Great Wall tickets are a bit pricey at over 200 yuan per person. Parking overnight at the hotel also costs 25 yuan, which feels a bit stingy for a hotel of this caliber. Overall, the dining, lodging, and entertainment within this ancient town are pretty good.

Guest UserThis might not be the most expensive hotel I've ever stayed in, but it's definitely where I've slept the most comfortably. The hotel is very close to the bustling Nanluoguxiang and Yonghe Temple. The room was extremely clean and quiet, with a nostalgic style that made me feel grounded and peaceful. Being in the hutong, you really get a feel for the capital's alleyway life, and everyone was so nice! The service was absolutely top-notch; I forgot something when I checked out, and the front desk contacted me and mailed it back for free! I love it so much ❤️!

Guest UserThe room was spacious and clean, and the heating was excellent. The bath towels even came in plastic packaging, showing great attention to hygiene. My kids absolutely loved the in-room play facilities, and the children's play area at the front desk was also fantastic. The front desk staff, especially the ladies, were very enthusiastic and had a great attitude. Highly recommend for family trips! ⌯oᴗo⌯

The exterior environment is quite nice, but I feel the hotel's interior maintenance is a bit lacking, especially the kids' play area. The protective measures are damaged, and there are exposed wooden structures, posing a significant safety hazard. The food quality at the Chinese restaurant is decent, but the prices are a bit high. As for the Western restaurant, it certainly doesn't justify its price; dinner was very disappointing. Many hot dishes were lukewarm or even cold, particularly the lamb skewers. To visit the pagoda and its surroundings, you need to book and pay at the front desk, but we weren't informed about this during check-in, which really impacted the experience. Bicycle rental within the park is 150, and electric scooter rental is 200, but the actual activity area is quite small. This place is only suitable for business events or consultations, not for family trips. Families with children should definitely avoid it.

The rooms are clean and tidy, and come with a balcony. When checking in, you need to register your vehicle to park in the underground parking lot 🅿️, otherwise, you might be charged a parking fee. We had three king-size rooms, and 1119 had the best view, overlooking the lake from the balcony, with a beautiful sunrise in the morning. The room directly opposite could see the golf course behind, which was great for sunset views. The bathroom and bathtub are in separate spaces opposite each other, designed with two sinks for simultaneous use. The front desk is on the second floor, and the connecting corridor to the hot spring ♨️ is also on the same floor, though it's a bit of a walk. The buffet restaurant is on the first floor. Complimentary fruit was provided in the room.

The hotel's location is excellent, nestled in a hutong, very close to Zhangzizhong Road subway station – less than a 4-minute walk away. It's also near popular attractions like the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park. After visiting Jingshan Park, I encountered traffic restrictions, making taxis and buses inconvenient. I ended up cycling back to the hotel on a shared bike, which only took fifteen minutes. Cycling through the surrounding hutongs offers a unique charm. Although the hotel isn't new, it's clean, and the bedding is spotless. Crucially, facing the hutong means it's incredibly quiet, which is perfect for someone sensitive to noise like me. Plus, the hotel rooms have windows that can be opened for ventilation, which is a major plus. Many hotels in Beijing have sealed windows and rely on heating, making the air feel stuffy and stagnant. There are also many local eateries around the hotel, making it very convenient. All in all, it offers fantastic value for money.

GuangjiedehuashengrenThe biggest highlight of the Xinqiao Hotel is its extremely convenient location – directly opposite Chongwenmen Subway Station (where Lines 2 and 5 intersect). It's incredibly easy to get to Wangfujing, Tiananmen Square, and Beijing Railway Station by subway or bus. Plus, there are malls like New World nearby.
However, the facilities are indeed quite dated. After all, it's an old hotel that opened in 1954, and some rooms have dim lighting. Some room types are windowless, which can feel a bit stuffy if you haven't confirmed beforehand. I personally recommend getting a room with a window.
In summary, if location and transportation convenience are your top priorities and you're fine with the older style of an established hotel, this is a hassle-free choice!

Guest UserWe took our child on a last-minute trip and chose this hotel because of its nice environment. The experience exceeded our expectations. Every staff member was incredibly friendly, from the front desk to the room service staff – everyone was patient and attentive. I asked for an extra blanket and bed rails because I was worried about my child sleeping well, and they quickly brought them over. There were also many activities for children; my child did two kinds of crafts with the teacher in the morning and even baked pizza – they had a great time. They also have a large swimming pool with crystal-clear water, which the staff said was spring water. My child said it's a must-visit in the summer. There's also a newly decorated multi-functional hall with yoga facilities, tea ceremonies, and singing bowls – it's really quite nice. I was a bit skeptical after reading some reviews, but it wasn't as bad as some people said. There were indeed some insects in the garden, but that's part of the experience – it's about connecting with nature. Sitting on the swings and soaking up the sun in the morning was so relaxing. I also want to praise the tea the owner chose; the tea bags in the room smelled wonderful! 😃
