Great value for money in terms of what one gets vs what we've paid for -- trendy design hotel, nice, spacious room, there's even a fridge (usually for this price it's not provided), nice lobby, adequate size breakfast area with nice ambience, good service all round. Good design and layout in room with comfortable beds, adequate powerpoints and charging points. I like that the basin area has a huge top so I could put all my toiletries (I've got a lot) Thoughtful little stuff that I like : torchlight-like light by the beside and mugs with rubber base to insulate the heat. The toiletries in the bathroom smell really good too! Breakfast has good variety -- different types of porridge, some steam dumplings, sweet potatoes and corn, etc, rice, different dishes, there's a noodle station where you could customise your noodles to a certain extent, eggs, there's also bread and some sandwiches (ready-made and can DIY too), fruits, milk, juices, coffee, soya bean milk. I feel that the options available is not bad for a hotel of such a level. Actually my booking didn't include breakfast but was advised by the staff (when I check-in) to join the hotel's membership for RMB$99 so that I can get free breakfast. Hotel lobby also serves water and orange juice - another nice touch. Hotel staff's service was very good all round. Offered to help send my luggage up when they saw I had lots of luggage and was alone (some hotels at this level wouldn't volunteer to do so). Was able to answer most of my questions re nearby malls, where to get stuff like fruits, milk, nearby attraction. House-keeping staff was good too. A big thank you to the 2 reception staff that was on night shift on 6 Apr who had helped me out re a delivery mistake made by ******* platform. They even had to look at the CCTV of the hotel to find out what really happened and it took a long while. They were very nice and patient throughout the whole drama. They also helped me speak to the customer service of ******* to try to resolve the problem. When the problem still could not be resolved that night and I was without what I required urgently like the charging cable for my phone, they staff lent me the hotel's. They also gave me a small fruit pack and a pack of milk and bread (complimentary) as I needed it the following morning to bring outdoors for the day. In addition, they had briefed their colleagues on the next shift re my case so that they're aware and could help me should I require more help. Excellent service! Re location, it's a little far off though but it's really near to Beijing Garden Expo Park (北京园博园) and the accompanying Garden Museum (园博园博物馆) . It's a really nice park that's really huge -- that is made up of little models of different style of parks (from Jiangnan to Lingnan to Beijing) It has pavilions, water features and other Chinese architecture and landscaping that usually adorn such traditional parks. Great for photoshoot. Best of all, there're very few people there! There's a small little mall about 700-800m away from the hotel, that has mainly food there with many different types of value for money eateries, coffee, a supermarket and some other shops for daily necessities that local residents need. For a real mall, head to one call 长安天街, that's about 5km away - you can get there quite easily within 10-15mins by Didi (the online platform where you could get a cab I really enjoyed staying here cost it's almost like a resort - a little remote but so quiet and spacious and there's no crowd at all -- very relaxing! I would really want to come back here especially when i want to be in a place where I can feel really relaxed without breaking the bank.

The hotel is quite large, and the executive twin room they gave us was very clean. My father, who I brought on this trip, was very happy and comfortable with how quiet it was. I especially want to mention Dandan, the hotel's account manager. She was incredibly prompt and professional in resolving and assisting us throughout our stay. She was warm and dedicated; whenever we needed her, she was immediately available and quickly solved any issues. She made us feel right at home as out-of-town visitors. Thank you~

The place is beautiful and owner couple were super helpful! Location was perfect to go anywhere in the Watertown and not too far from the entrance to the Great Wall. Also super near to the square where the drone show is at. Breakfast was great, often being served with local treats for us to try. We stayed with 2 teens, 1 child and 2 adults. My children were upset that we didn’t stay any linger there. If we would to be back, it’s definitely where we’ll be staying! Highly recommended!

Oh my god we loved our stay here! The host Chen Jiancheg is so so so kind and helpful. Always smiling! You reall feel welcomed! The family room was very big and conveniently layed out! The breakfast is a feast and so good! Kids were able to feed the ducks and enjoyed their time here so much! The view from the room was amazing night time and day time! The location is so convenient as it’s is few meters from the main plaza where the shows are happening!

1. The friendly service attitude of the hotel staff was the first thing I appreciated most. 2. The architectural style of the hotel's courtyard (siheyuan) was a highlight I had to discover myself, rather than it being prominently advertised by the hotel. This was a bit of a shame, but I truly loved the traditional Beijing siheyuan feel. 3. The hotel is located in the most secluded corner of the Water Town area, offering a quiet and serene environment, which I really liked. 4. Although the hotel is quite a distance from the park entrance and the bustling Sun and Moon Island, the electric shuttle service provided by the park is excellent. This made it very convenient to return to the hotel to rest or to depart from the hotel to explore various scenic spots. 5. The breakfast was simple but offered a good variety, including vegetables and meat, both Chinese and Western options, three types of fruit, and American coffee from a bean-to-cup machine. Food items were replenished continuously, and the dining environment was comfortable and cozy. 6. The hotel is situated right next to the entrance of Simatai Great Wall, the park's main attraction, making it very convenient to return to the hotel after an evening tour. 7. It would be even better if hotel guests received more discounts for visiting attractions or dining at restaurants, especially if there were greater specials for dining at the hotel itself. This would definitely encourage more in-house guests to dine there. 8. A special thank you to the lady at the front desk for her incredibly thoughtful and detailed service on our check-out day. She helped us with our luggage and arranged for the shuttle to take us to the first parking lot. My wife and I were very touched by her warm service.

Pros: The hotel environment is quite nice and elegant. However, the surrounding area is very poor, the hotel itself is small, and there's nothing to do nearby. The so-called 'mountain view' room actually faces a restaurant specializing in 'iron pot stew,' and the mountain view is off to the side, not very good. Service: The attitude was good but average. There was only one computer at the front desk for check-in, so every guest had to wait a long time. Even for organized activities, there was only one staff member, leading to long waits. It felt like they weren't prepared for the volume of tourists during a holiday. Cons: Breakfast was very basic. You had to ask for hot food. It was the worst breakfast I've had at a hotel of a similar standard. Not fun, not good food, I won't be coming back. I recommend staying at hotels around Yanqi Lake instead.

The hotel boasts an elegant environment, making you feel like you have an entire mountain to yourself. Built into the hillside, the two-bedroom suite we booked this time was located mid-mountain. The hotel community has complete facilities, and the main entrance is fenced off with a gate, so the security is reassuring and makes you feel very safe. The shuttle service uses Voyah commercial vans, which are super comfortable! The staff helped with our luggage, which was very thoughtful and attentive. It's about 10 kilometers from Badaling Great Wall, and Shuiguan Great Wall is nearby and not crowded. Juyongguan Great Wall is also conveniently located on the way to Beijing South Station, so we stopped by, making our trip even more rich and fulfilling.

This hotel is truly amazing! We visited Mutianyu back in 2016, and at that time, we entered the mountain from outside Mutianyu Village. Booking this hotel this trip made us realize that the entire Mutianyu Village has now been incorporated into the scenic area, and the hotel is located right inside—directly facing the cable car. This means cars heading to the hotel must first enter the village, register with the village, and then register again with the scenic area. My Didi (ride-hailing) driver on the way there was a bit crazy and shared a story about a foreign passenger whose license plate wasn't registered, forcing them to get out and take the shuttle bus up the mountain. Fortunately, I had registered my license plate with the hotel front desk in advance, so the trip there went relatively smoothly. However, leaving the hotel was absolute disaster. Even though I had registered the Didi license plate in advance, the staff down in the village stubbornly refused to let the driver up. We were in a rush to catch a flight, and the front desk phone line kept giving a busy signal. Huge thanks to the kind lady at the hotel restaurant who unblocked the license plate for us via a WeChat group—talk about a close call! To be fair, if you have the chance to properly hike Mutianyu, this hotel is the ultimate choice. We didn't get to finish our hike because we were traveling with kids, but our little ones had an absolute blast at the hotel's play facilities! As for the service and cleanliness, think of it as an upscale farmhouse stay. Given how far it is from the city center, as long as you have a hot shower and a clean bed, what more can you really ask for?

The room was spacious with great hardware and facilities. Having the bathtub right by the window was a fantastic touch, offering a wonderful view. The lady at the front desk provided superb service, thoroughly explaining all the hotel's amenities. Location-wise, it's right next to Wanda Plaza, which is super convenient for shopping and dining. The hotel's breakfast also had a great variety. The only slight drawback was the underground parking garage. Probably because the hotel was fully booked during the Golden Week holiday, the staff at the lobby entrance directed us straight to the underground lot when we arrived in the afternoon. However, the garage was actually full. After circling around a few times without finding a spot, we called the hotel. A staff member came down quickly and personally helped us find a space, which was finally sorted out. Overall, the hotel's facilities are great and the service is excellent. They could just improve the parking situation—at the very least, an updated system to track available parking spots in real time would be great.

I had a very relaxing vacation at this resort, and the overall experience truly exceeded my expectations. The check-in process was smooth, and the room felt comfortable from the moment I stepped in. The cleanliness was impeccable, the bedding was clean and cozy, and all the facilities were well-maintained, making for a great stay. The resort offers a wide variety of activities, perfect for both adults looking to relax and children wanting to play. There's never a dull moment throughout the day, with dining, entertainment, and activities all conveniently arranged in one place. I especially want to commend Suna's service. Whenever I had any questions or requests, she responded promptly. She was meticulous and patient, always considering things from the guest's perspective and handling issues efficiently and effectively. Her friendly and professional attitude made me feel very much at ease. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire vacation. The experience across the board was excellent, offering great value for money. It's highly recommended for family trips or friends traveling together. I've already recommended it to my friends and family who are planning trips, and I'll definitely be back when I have the chance.
