Scoot KrisFlyer Guide (2026): Earn & Redeem in Singapore

Flying with Scoot does not mean missing out on travel rewards. If you are a KrisFlyer member, every eligible Scoot flight can help you earn miles, unlock benefits, and bring you closer to your next reward flight.

In this guide, we will cover how to earn KrisFlyer miles on Scoot, redeem rewards, and make the most of your membership in 2026.

🌟 How do I EARN KrisFlyer Miles on Scoot Flights?

Scoot makes it very easy for Singapore travellers to turn low‑cost tickets into KrisFlyer miles, as long as you log in or add your KrisFlyer number when booking.

Add Your KrisFlyer Frequent Flyer Number

Key in your KrisFlyer number under Frequent Flyer Info when you book your Scoot flight on Trip.com or directly with Scoot. You can also add your KrisFlyer number under “Manage Booking” if you forgot to do so during booking.

KrisFlyer members, their Redemption Nominees and everyone in the same booking can each earn to their own accounts. 

Scoot‑only itineraries

Earn 1 KrisFlyer mile per S$1 spent on: base fare and eligible add‑ons (baggage, seats, meals, extra legroom, etc.). 

Taxes, insurance, service and processing fees, e‑Visa charges, infant fees, and any amount paid with Scoot vouchers do NOT earn miles. 

If you pay partly with KrisFlyer miles or Scoot vouchers, only the cash portion (card, PayNow, etc.) earns miles; fully‑miles tickets do not earn at all. 

Mixed SIA–Scoot itineraries (interline / codeshare)

For the Scoot sector, miles are based on a percentage of actual miles flown, by booking class: 

• ScootPlus – C, D, I, J, U, Z: 25% of distance travelled on Scoot
• Economy – A, F, P, R, S, Y: 20% of distance travelled on Scoot
• Economy – B, H, M, W: 15% of distance travelled on Scoot
• Economy – N, O, X: 10% of distance travelled on Scoot

You can see your Scoot fare class in the itinerary attachment of your booking confirmation email, then use the KrisFlyer miles calculator to work out the exact accrual. 

On the same ticket, miles for the Singapore Airlines sector follow the regular KrisFlyer earning chart, while Virgin Australia sectors earn via a retro‑claim. 

Elite miles and bonuses

For Scoot‑only spend, you earn 2.5 Elite miles for every S$1 spent on eligible Scoot bookings, helping you climb to or retain Elite Silver and Elite Gold. 

KrisFlyer Elite Silver, Elite Gold and PPS Club members get a 25% miles bonus on Scoot spend (1.25 miles per S$1 instead of 1 mile). 

Missed miles?

If you forget to log in or add numbers for your travel party, you can still add them under “Manage Booking” before you fly, or submit a missing‑miles claim within six months after completion. 

✈️ How to REDEEM KrisFlyer Miles on Scoot: Award Tickets

Scoot now lets you redeem KrisFlyer miles in two main ways: fixed‑price Scoot award tickets (Saver / Advantage) and flexible Mix Miles & Cash on paid fares.

Step 1. Log in to KrisFlyer on Scoot App

Step 2. Choose “Redeem flights” and view your award options

Tick “Redeem flights” so the search shows award options, including Scoot sectors where available. 

Step 3. Select Your preferred flights

Step 4. Confirm routing and taxes

Check the miles required plus cash co‑pay for taxes and airport fees, which are payable in cash even on award tickets. 

Add up to five Redemption Nominees if you want to use your miles to ticket family or friends. 

Step 5. Complete passenger details and payment

Fill in passenger details and confirm your Scoot flight selection. 

Pay the cash portion (taxes, fees, and any chargeable add‑ons) with card; the deducted KrisFlyer miles show on the confirmation page. 

💰 How to REDEEM KrisFlyer Miles on Scoot: Mix Miles & Cash

Step 1. Choose preferred flights on Scoot

On Scoot website, log in with your KrisFlyer number + PIN, then search for your Scoot flight as usual. Choose your preferred Scoot flights.

Step 2. At payment, select “Pay with KrisFlyer miles”

Choose “Pay with KrisFlyer miles” / “Mix miles and cash” as the payment option. Use the slider to decide how many miles to use.

The minimum is 1,000 miles and the rate is 100 miles = S$1 (≈ 1 cent per mile). 

Where Does Mix Miles & Cash work?

Mix Miles & Cash is available only when booking Scoot‑operated flights on Scoot while logged in to KrisFlyer. 

Not valid on: travel‑agent tickets, call‑centre bookings, corporate fares, group fares, or mixed itineraries that include non‑Scoot sectors (e.g. Scoot–SIA interline). 

Can I Use Miles for Taxes and Add‑ons?

Yes—on Scoot, KrisFlyer miles are surprisingly flexible when you use Mix Miles & Cash.

What you can pay with miles on Scoot

• Base fare on Scoot‑operated flights booked on flyscoot.com. 
• Taxes and surcharges on those Scoot tickets. 
• Most Scoot add‑ons: checked baggage, advance seat selection, extra legroom, and selected on‑board ancillaries. 

What you cannot pay with miles

• Travel insurance. 
• Service fees and payment processing fees. 
• Bookings that are corporate, group, via travel agents, or
• Flights that contain any non‑Scoot segment. 

Miles + earning interaction

• Only the cash portion of a Mix Miles & Cash Scoot booking earns KrisFlyer miles; the miles‑paid part does not earn. 
• Tickets fully paid in miles are non‑refundable and usually non‑changeable beyond what KrisFlyer permits, so check rules before confirming. 

For Singapore travellers, the sweet spot is often: redeem award tickets when the miles price is lower as compared to cash, and use Mix Miles & Cash at 100 miles = S$1 when you just need to shave some dollars off a Scoot trip while keeping things simple.
