How Long & How to Maintain Trip.com Membership
Your Trip.com membership tier validity and maintenance requirements vary by tier: Silver and Gold tiers are permanent once achieved, while Platinum, Diamond, Diamond+, and Black Diamond tiers are valid for 1 year.
To retain upper tiers (Platinum+), you must meet specific booking/spending criteria within the validity period; failure to do so will result in downgrading (minimum tier after downgrade: Gold).

Bookings are counted towards membership upgrades after travel is completed. The actual payment amount of the booking will also be counted towards membership upgrades. We will calculate the USD value of your booking amount based on the exchange rate of the payment currency at the time of booking confirmation. If the amount changes (e.g. due to refunds or additional bookings), the accumulated USD value will be updated according to the proportion of the amount change.How long are member tiers valid for?
In April 2023, Trip.com released a new member tier validity process: For users who attain a tier upgrade by completing bookings, their new member tier will be set and will not change for 1 year after the date of their member tier change. After this 1 year period expires, member tiers will be recalculated and reset accordingly.
