"The staff here are absolutely wonderful. As soon as I got out of the taxi, someone was there to help with my luggage and carried it all the way to my room. They even upgraded me from a single to a double room! The room itself was spotless and came with complimentary fruit and yogurt. There's a wake-up call service available in the morning. The staff were incredibly patient when my flight was delayed, and I had to change my airport transfer time multiple times. The driver who took me to the airport was also excellent, helping me with my bags. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time."

"Value for money with basic standard amenities. I would like a bit more comfortable bed and an extra pillow but that is because I am a bit more fussy with sleep. Conveniently located for the temple of heaven. Close to Tiantandongmen station and Hongqiao market where you can go to the 5th floor and enjoy probably yhe best view in Beijing. Have only asked for some coffee but there was only complimentary jasmine tea so gave 5 for service but only requested something once. They left us extra water though which was greatly appreciated."

The front desk staff were warm and efficient, even helping to store our luggage. It was a very satisfying stay."

GGuest UserWe were pleasantly surprised by the homely atmosphere upon arrival and were warmly greeted by the host (co-owner). We booked a room to accommodate 4 of us but realised upon arrival that it was a little too small to accommodate all of us. The host immediately gave us another adjoining room within the same chalet at a very reasonable rate. The rooms were very thoughtfully designed, for example there were heat lamps above the shower stall so that one did not have to contend with the cold after a shower; and the bathroom lights were motion sensor activated so that one did not have to stumble around in the middle of the night. The place is well-kept and has excellent and personalised service. We were driven by the host to the Nanshan ski park and nearby places for dinner, and on the last day to the train station; all this at no extra cost. The in-house dinner was good and delicious and very reasonably priced. It is a cozy place for families to gather and engage in recreational activities. We were treated to a traditional tea session within the premises by the host, who was extremely gracious and warm. All the co-owners were also extremely helpful and attentive to our needs, making our short stay there a truly unforgettable experience. Thank you! We will return in the near future! :)

Every time we visit, she proactively reaches out to understand our needs, and the room is always perfectly prepared before we arrive. Any issues we have, Luna can fix. The two nannies at the kids' club are diligent, responsible, warm, and attentive. They take care of every little detail for the children in their care, allowing parents to enjoy their free time with peace of mind.

MM27908****This is our second stay at Gubei Zhiguang. Since we were traveling with our whole family, including children and elderly, we booked a family suite this time. It was quite expensive due to the New Year's Day holiday, but overall, the stay was good. The room's location wasn't far from the elevator, which was very convenient, and we didn't experience long queues. The breakfast was as abundant as ever. It was a rather satisfying stay. Small suggestions: The ball pit in the children's play area was a bit dirty. Given that it's on the first floor and very close to the swimming pool, it's quite humid there. I suggest more frequent cleaning and disinfection. It was New Year's Day, and I understand the staff were very busy, but I still hope the front desk staff can make eye contact when answering tourist questions to show respect. Our room rate included tickets to the Water Town. If the scenic area is free, perhaps some other experience vouchers or cable car discounts could be offered instead.

GGuest UserOur stayed was great. Xiaowang was really helpful before and during our arrival through WeChat. They helped us with the passport and area registration through their phones, as our did not have Chinese characters keyboard. The apartment is clean, comfortable and really spacious. We got the cat theme apartment and the little ones really liked it. The only drawback is that is at the top of the road, thus an 8 min walk to the main road. From there is only 2 min to the entrance of Gubei town.

LLaogandaixiaoganMy family and I have been visiting for nearly a decade now – my child was just a little girl when we first started coming here! Our experience earlier this year was particularly good. The rooms were pleasantly scented, clean, and tidy. The overall package, including the hot springs, swimming, fitness facilities, and buffet breakfast, offered excellent value for money. The hot spring experience this time was exceptionally good, with great attention to detail. It was evident that the hotel places great importance on the water quality and environment in the hot springs area. We're particularly grateful to Manager Wang Fang, who oversees the hot springs. Her service is consistently excellent each year, always warm and personally attentive. The breakfast, as always, was incredibly rich, offering a wide array of both Chinese and Western options. We hope the prices remain affordable during the winter peak season, especially for loyal, returning guests like us.

GGuest UserGubei Watertown Hotel is the best choice we ever made for Gubei trip! The hotel came with the package of spacious room overseeing Simatai Great Wall, unlimited entrance access to Watertown via face recognition, 1 afternoon tea at QingYe Inn (we were pleasantly surprised with the food that they served!), 1 Chinese tea 禅茶with cookies/ fruits n nuts in TongYuan pagoda. We stayed 3D2N in this lovely serene town during this freezy winter but we were paid off with no crowd and zen feel. Breakfast choice is superb based on the varieties that they prepared. Simatai Great Wall is just walking distance but we go with free shuttle service since we are the hotel guests. Simatai Great Wall ticket with 2 way cable car cost CNY220 for day trip. Simatai Great Wall also has night view with cable car cost CNY200 but if you are the hotel guest then special rate at CNY120. It is the only Great Wall that has night view n it is lovely n touching to see Gubei town at night from top of Great Wall. After night Great Wall, we went to sauna spa (voucher provided in hotel package 🥰) n the pool overlooking Great Wall, lovely isn’t it? I want to specifically thank the hotel staff 冀英杰being super helpful to show us the room, recommended the best food, showing the way of work for Great Wall route n he was the one who highly recommend Great Wall night view and I truly appreciate it. He has also helped me to get the money changing since we are back to Beijing via bus, also helping us to keep the luggage after check out as we are walking around to wait for 5pm bus. Overall, I really felt happy to choose this hotel with full package which cost optimal with quality stay. What a memorable trip in Gubei!

You never notice the amount of travelers and tourists here, it’s always quiet and pleasant experience! Perfect place to unwind and relax. We visited the park, the farm and the hot springs. Hot springs outside are something! They look magical at night! Take into account there will be no one around you and you’ll get a brand new experience of soaking in steaming hot fragrant water under the stars… Breakfast options are widely available for everyone, even a peaky eater. Check-in and check-out procedures are easy, take little to no time. With registration in the hotel, one of the service members will give you their personal number, and they will be available for your call or request 24/7. I wanted to say special thanks to Ms Little Housekeeper ( 小李管家). She helped me out a lot during the whole trip, and assisted with arranging flowers, food and my other special requests. Thank you , dear! My favorite hot spring resort for nearly 3 years, thanks for keeping up ⬆️ with requests and your greatest service!

The double bed was 1.5 meters wide; a larger one would have been better. The bed wasn't exceptionally comfortable, but it was still acceptable. ## Cleanliness The place was spotlessly clean. They even provided branded toiletries, which was a thoughtful touch. The toothbrushes were also of good quality, making it excellent value for money. ## Environment The service was incredibly attentive. Upon arriving by car, we were immediately greeted and directed at the main entrance. ## Service A very kind staff member escorted us to our room upstairs, which was a lovely gesture. The breakfast spread was extensive and offered everything one could wish for. Considering the price in Beijing, this level of quality is truly excellent, and we were very pleased.

From the moment we checked in, Emily was incredibly considerate. She not only proactively showed us the kid-friendly areas in the hotel but also thoughtfully reminded us of the children's activity schedule. My child had an absolute blast at the hotel and kept saying they didn't want to leave every day. On our departure day, because we wanted to visit a nearby attraction with our child, we requested a late check-out. Emily, without hesitation, arranged it for us and even specifically told us not to rush and to enjoy our outing. Having such a warm and reliable butler truly reduced much of the travel fatigue. My child and I have already decided that for our next trip, we'll choose this hotel again and ask for Emily to be our butler!
