Comfortable stay with helpful staff. Lobby Manager 佟经理 is friendly & helpful, provided guide to activities in within town & helping us in the check in & check out processes. Hotel staff responded quickly to all the request even though it’s midnight hour. Will definitely visit to this hotel again!
Beijing Xinqiao Hotel

Most staff in this hotel spoke English and they understand foreigner problems because most our mobile dont work in China so they are helpful with it. Train station line 2 and 5 are right outside the hotel front door. Most popular street is 1 stop away from line 2 trainstation. Tiananmen are closeby but not too close, which is good. (Tips: do not stay way too close to Tiananmen coz the phone signal will not work, so will have so many problems using the phone) This hotel have their own Termal spring water system, so its good for spa after whole day walking. Only down side is there is no air conditioning in the rooms but the receptionist provided me a fan, so it no big issue.

The room is very good, spacious and clean, especially the furniture. I like the recycled solid wood. The service is very thoughtful and fruits are provided. The restaurant downstairs is delicious and there is a takeaway option to take it to the room, which is very good. The internet speed in the room is quite good, and the desk and chair are also suitable for office work. The lake view outside the window is very comfortable. There is a little dust on the glass, but it is not a big deal.

We were looking for a getaway from the city vacations and this is definitely the place. The room was clean and neat, towels changed every day. I was concerned about the meals not being up to our expectations, but I couldn't be more wrong. It's Chinese cuisine but not spicy as I expected and there's a big variety of dishes to choose from. A bit pricey though if you go on tight budget, but DELICIOUS. Breakfast, however was average, not many options, but coffee was decent. Bottom line a great experience, loved the pool and the attention from the staff was 10 out of 10. A big THANK YOU to all the hotel workers. Will be definitely recommending the place.

I have been to Jingzhi Lake too many times, and I am very satisfied every time. Because I brought the elderly and children, I hope that the front desk can move the two courtyards closer. The hotel helped us arrange the courtyard gates next to each other, which is very convenient. Even if there are many people during the Spring Festival, the environment is quiet and comfortable. The staff has always been very meticulous and thoughtful. The food in the restaurant is delicious, and we had a great time eating in the craft bar. The breakfast is Chinese. The adults get up late, and the children and the elderly go to the restaurant to eat. The staff also helped them pack and take them back to the room. There are many people in the ski resort behind, but it is a good feeling in the small ski resort, and the coach is also serious and responsible. The animals in the small zoo are very active. Although it is winter, the children can also experience the interaction with the small animals. Our housekeeper Xiao Hu is enthusiastic and thoughtful. He sent me the activity arrangements of the resort park and the dining reminders for three meals before and after. Because the children were delayed by skiing, he helped me coordinate the delayed check-out, and his work attitude was greatly praised.
Spring Yingxiang Sky Garden Hotel (Beijing Tiananmen Wangfujing Branch)

Good location for access to the city and lots of good places to eat withing walking distance. Staff were ok, apart from the lady at the front desk who barked at me when I arrived, demanding payment 'You pay, you pay' without even checking that I had already prepaid - She did apologise later, but as they say, first impressions count. The room was ok, quite worn compared with the pictures on the Trip.com website, which are not representative of the condition of the hotel, which is now quite bad, but the biggest let down was the Sky Garden, which was one of the primary reasons I booked the hotel - Please see the pictures included with this review and compare them with those on the Trip.com page - The Sky Garden was actually a rooftop dump! In the UK this is classified as false advertising and illegal. The furniture was broken, rubbish everywhere and even washing hanging out. Since the weather was very good, I was hoping to sit out and enjoy the sky garden, but this was not possible. When I asked about going to the Sky Garden, the staff were not even embarrassed to direct me to it! Hotel not worth the money and better places to stay
Sunrise Kempinski Hotel Beijing

Impressive looking building from the outside but a really slow check in. They had 4-5 staff members yet everything took longer than I’d expect. The room was basic and, for the price, underwhelming. In addition, the walls are marked and scuffed. One part of the wall had food stains. The carpet is stained. When we went to go to bed we found the linen was dirty. There were stains on both the duvet and the bed sheet! We called down for reception and they said sorry then sent a maid to change the duvet. I felt like good customer service would include at least having someone from customer service/reception come to check on us and the room, or calling us to check, or making a note to ask at check out. No follow up. Apart from this the room is a good size and felt spacious with a desk, sofa and large double bed. The bathroom also had 2 sinks and ample space for your things. The cupboards were also large with lots of hangers etc. There is a full ironing board. I was disappointed for the price (over ¥2000 a night) that even their basic rooms don’t have a coffee machine (like Nespresso etc). This seems to be standard in most hotels at this price range these days. Just instant coffee. As part of the price, the hotel included “free mini bar” which was just 1 can of coke, sprite and Fanta. All full sugar, no zero/diet. Only one side of the bed has plug socks for charging. Otherwise, there is a socket under the desk. The slippers constantly stuck to the tiled floor area which meant squeaky/sticky sounds as you walk around. I’m not sure if it was just the slippers or the floor coating but it was pretty irritating. The breakfast was good with a range of choices including pancakes, waffles, different types of bread, omelette/egg station, noodles, porridge etc as well as fried vegetables, salad, fruit and sausages etc. Lots of coffee machines dotted around the canteen. Location good if you want to go to the lake area and surrounds. There isn’t much walkable so to really take advantage you need a car , either a Didi or your own. You can rent bikes but anyone serious brings their own and cycles round the area. There are local restaurants about 1-2k away which is walkable. We had some ok local food for a good price. Disappointed not to find a modern cafe anywhere nearby, including the hotel. The coffee in the hotel was only the push button kind, like at breakfast buffets. No real cafe. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel and wouldn’t go back.

Location: You can take a taxi directly to the B&B, or you can take a taxi directly from the B&B to Badaling Great Wall World to climb the Great Wall. A few hundred meters uphill is the restaurant group; Service: The brother and sister at the front desk are very enthusiastic, more considerate than the service of Yuecai JW Marriott when I stayed here. They added contact information in advance, sent me the restaurant location, breakfast time and route, etc., and also reported the weather conditions of Badaling that day to remind me to put on more clothes and hats before climbing the Great Wall. The pair of corgis raised by the store are really strong and friendly. They greeted me as soon as they opened the door Hygiene: Clean and odorless Soundproofing: Good Room facilities: basically complete, a suggestion: The TV is connected to CCTV video, and I want to watch live programs. It is currently suitable for screen projection Cost-effectiveness: High, I will choose this hotel again when I bring my girlfriend to Badaling in the future😇

I really enjoy my stay on this Hotel, since the ”check in” Hanna was really nice with us explaining us all the things that we need to do to visit all the places that we wanted. The room was very comfortable, clean and they it has the things that we need it, i also reserve with breakfast included and was very healthy and tasty. After the ”check out” they help us to keep our bagge some hours to visit some place before our flight. Thank you so much for the experience.
Weiming Courtyard Hotel (Beijing Nanxun Ancient Alley Houhai Branch)

Location: The hotel is in the middle of Hutong community, it is great for getting a glimpse of life in Hutong. Once you make your way out of the Hutong, it is close to a variety of restaurants. It is close to Yaoji Gulou store, which you can have a taste of traditional Beijing breakfast. The downside of being tucked in the Hutong is, it takes 10 min to walk in (ok in normal standards, but a bit hard when check-in/check-out with kids and luggage), and some Didi driver would whine a bit when they drive in. Interior: The lobby has many traditional Chinese activities for you to try for free, such as traditional clothes, go chess, chinese chess, Guzhen, tea set etc. Fun for both kids and adults. The room is nice and clean. Staff: Staff were very welcoming and responsive. You can tell they've put a lot of thoughts into their services down to the little details such as when to pack the breakfast for us.
