We had such an amazing experience at this Disney hotel, and I truly feel like this property deserves every bit of praise. My husband, our 6 kids, and I traveled all the way from Orlando, Florida in America, and after such a big trip, staying somewhere this welcoming, clean, and well-run meant so much to us. From the moment we arrived, the staff made such a strong impression on me. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful. It did not feel fake or forced at all, it felt like they truly cared about making sure our stay was comfortable and special. One thing I really want to mention is that even with us traveling from America, the language barrier was honestly not hard at all when dealing with the staff. That was something I truly appreciated. Everyone was so kind, so patient, and so willing to help that communication never felt stressful. They made everything feel easy and comfortable, and that meant a lot, especially traveling with a big family and small children. No matter what we needed, they did their best to help us understand and made sure we felt taken care of. That level of effort, patience, and kindness goes a very long way, and they really made us feel welcome. The staff went above and beyond in so many little ways, and those things really added up. Any time I had a question, needed help, or wasn’t sure about something, someone was there with a smile, ready to help without hesitation. That kind of service stands out, especially when you are traveling with family, and it made such a huge difference for us. They were not just “nice” .They were the kind of staff that makes you stop and think, wow, these people really care. You can feel when people are just doing a job, and you can also feel when people are truly making an effort to give guests a great experience. This staff absolutely did that. Now let me talk about the cleanliness, because honestly this is one of the cleanest hotel properties and rooms I have ever seen in my life. I do not say that lightly. The moment we walked in, everything looked absolutely spotless. Not just tidy, not just “good enough,” but truly immaculate. The room looked fresh, polished, and cared for in a way that is hard to explain unless you see it for yourself. Every surface looked pristine. The floors were clean, the bathroom was shining, the bedding felt fresh and perfectly maintained, and the entire room gave that rare feeling of being deeply, properly cleaned. There was not that uneasy hotel feeling some places have where you start wondering what has or has not really been cleaned. This place felt the complete opposite. It felt sanitized, refreshed, and cared for to the highest standard. The room was so clean that it immediately made us feel comfortable enough to fully relax. When you are staying with children, cleanliness matters even more, and this hotel absolutely exceeded expectations. I noticed the details, and the details matter. The bathroom was spotless, the beds looked crisp and fresh, the furniture was clean, the floors looked amazing, and the whole room felt like it had been cleaned with real care and pride. Even beyond the room itself, the entire property was unbelievably clean. That is what impressed me so much. Usually a hotel might have a nice room, but the hallways, common areas, elevators, or grounds do not always match that same level of care. Here, the cleanliness was consistent everywhere. The entire property was beautifully maintained, and you could clearly tell that cleanliness is taken seriously at every level. Everything looked so well-kept, so polished, and so intentionally maintained that it honestly made the whole stay feel even more luxurious and relaxing. It is such a good feeling to be able to fully settle in and enjoy your stay without noticing dirt, neglect, or things being overlooked. This hotel gave us that peace of mind completely. This hotel truly left a lasting impression; the entire stay was simply amazing. As soon as I arrived, the first thing I saw was the majestic lion statue, full of artistic flair and a sense of ceremony, immediately conveying the hotel's unique design style. Stepping into the lobby, the warm lighting, exquisite spatial design, coupled with the staff's friendly smiles and warm greetings, made me feel right at home from the moment I entered. But what really surprised me was the room itself. The overall design of the room was stunning – modern and elegant, yet with a touch of understated luxury. From the furniture and lighting to every little detail in the room, you could tell the hotel put a lot of thought into its design. What I'll remember most, though, is the river view from the room. The moment I opened the window, the scene before me was truly like a work of art. The river, the city skyline, and the buildings in the distance intertwined, especially in the evening and at night, as the lights slowly came on, the whole of Shanghai transformed into a dynamic urban painting. Just sitting in the room, doing nothing but quietly admiring the river view outside, was an absolute pleasure in itself. The hotel's ambiance, room design, service, and the breathtaking views all made this stay a truly delightful memory. If you're looking for a hotel in Shanghai that offers design, comfort, and incredible views, this place is definitely worth experiencing. It's absolutely a hotel I'd be willing to stay at again. ❤️

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It has an excellent location, which made my trip around Shanghai very convenient. My room was comfortable and well kept, fully meeting my expectations. The best part was the amazing view from the window.l could see the Huangpu River, the Bund and the Oriental Pearl Tower clearly. Watching the beautiful city scenery was such a lovely experience every day. All the hotel staff provided great service with friendly attitudes.They were polite and ready to assist whenever I needed something. Everything went smoothly during my check-in and check-out. This hotel is a wonderful choice for visitors who want to admire Shanghai's iconic riverside landmarks. I would love to stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai and highly recommend it to other travellers.

My business trip stay was an excellent experience overall, and I'd like to specially thank concierges Dawson and Ethan, and front desk staff Nancy. Upon arrival, the doorman Ethan proactively offered to help with my luggage, and concierge Dawson guided me to my room, providing warm and attentive service. During check-in, Nancy at the front desk was efficient and professional, quickly processing everything. She was also patient and thorough in answering my various questions, and thoughtfully provided information on local transportation and dining options, which perfectly suited my business travel needs. The room was clean and quiet, with complete facilities, suitable for both work and rest. All three staff members were polite and courteous, and their attentiveness was evident in every detail of their service, easing the fatigue of business travel. The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around and conducting business. Both the thoughtful assistance from the concierges and the professional reception from the front desk left a great impression on me. This stay was very comfortable and I highly recommend it for business travel. On future business trips to this area, I will prioritize choosing this hotel.

Rating: 5/5 This was my second stay at the Waldorf Astoria, and I must say the experience was excellent. From the elegant Morandi-inspired color palette to the spacious 2-meter bed, everything in the room was impressive and incredibly relaxing. The staff were all very polite! I think next time I visit Shanghai, I will continue to choose the Waldorf Astoria. Also! During this stay at the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund, I'd like to extend a special thanks to our dedicated concierge, Aaron Echole. He proactively added me on WeChat on the night of check-in, which made communication seamless afterward. When I requested a late check-out at the last minute, the concierge immediately helped coordinate and implement it, making the entire process efficient and smooth. I didn't have to go back and forth to the front desk for inquiries. The communication was easy and thoughtful, and responses were quick. You could feel the dedication in the details. Such flexible and considerate service made my trip much more relaxed and significantly enhanced this stay.

The B&B is very comfortable. The decoration style seems simple but is very clean and tidy. I like the minimalist style very much. It has a mahjong table, a singing room, and a projector. It's a pity that I came late and didn't get to play. I'll try it next time. Two 1.5-meter large beds are put together so that children can roll around as much as they want~ The kitchen downstairs has a pot and an oven. The boss cooked corn for the children in the morning. He ate breakfast and looked at the rice fields outside the window. He was in a great mood. It only took 9 minutes to take a taxi to Haichang. It was very convenient and a very pleasant stay.

A separate walk-in closet, a marble double bathtub, underfloor heating, and a highly tech-savvy bedside control panel all demonstrate an extreme pursuit of detail. Despite being open for over a decade, the hotel meticulously maintains its facilities, and the quality remains impeccable. Furthermore, the dining options within the hotel are not to be missed. Whether it's the exquisite cuisine at the Michelin-starred restaurants or the highly ceremonial English afternoon tea in the lobby, both offer an ultimate culinary delight. A stay in a river-view suite at The Peninsula Shanghai promises an unforgettable journey through luxury. Special thanks to the helpful young lady with glasses at the front desk (I was in a hurry to check in and forgot to ask her name) who kindly upgraded my reserved garden-view suite to a river-view suite for free. I also have a small suggestion: for example, the portion size of the waffles for breakfast is three times that of The Peninsula Beijing. It would be great if guests could be recommended à la carte options, as a smaller, more refined breakfast would reduce waste.

Compared to my visit two years ago, the front desk service this time was excellent. They were very attentive, asking about my needs, and even helped me check in early, which was a big plus! The room facilities were consistently well-equipped, and the breakfast spread was a huge highlight with so many choices. The location of W in North Bund and the views are, of course, unparalleled. I will definitely be back!

This particular room we got was only big enough for one person in my opinion. We however had a very comfortable sleep on the beds. The staff was very friendly and the location was ideal.Inside the lobby area, you are able to make tea or coffee throughout the day.There are many restaurants and shops nearby. I would recommend this place.

We checked in on the evening of October 3rd. It was a bit cold and rainy after getting off the subway. When we arrived at the hotel, front desk staff members #11 and #19 warmly introduced us to local attractions and even provided free breakfast vouchers. The breakfast was delicious and had a great variety. The housekeeping staff was very polite. I'm also very grateful to the front desk staff today for allowing a late check-out, which let my daughter rest well before heading to the airport. We will definitely stay here again next time!
