"I initially overlooked the peeling paint on the walls and the lack of disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste when I checked in. But then, at breakfast, I picked up a small steamed bun, and as I took a bite, I saw mold spots... that's just unacceptable! The chicken also tasted sour, which is something I absolutely cannot tolerate!"

"Everywhere in the hotel it was strictly emphasized that smoking is not allowed, but our room was the most smoky place I have ever encountered. There was an ashtray there (why would there be one if the rooms were non-smoking???) To be fair, all the rooms smelled like that. This was a disaster. I indicated that there were three of us checking in, but towels were given only for two, even though there were three toothbrushes. Breakfast was also provided for two (but there was no option to choose three breakfasts for an additional fee when choosing a room on trip.com). The rest of the service was more or less normal, exclusively through a translator from English to Chinese and vice versa."

"I stayed here for only one night. I can tell that the location is fantastic just in the pagodas and the night market street. The room was huge and very clean. The shower, was the best I have had in China so far. Air conditioning working very well. People in the hotel do not speak much English but they do an effort to try to understand"

There is mall name Super Brand Mall, the mall provide tax refund for item purchase like clothing shops uniqluo Popular yuyuan garden (line 14) is on the same line as well"

"The hotel is a bit far from Pudong Airport. The shuttle to the airport runs hourly by bus, and it takes about ten minutes to get there. The hotel's hygiene and facilities are pretty good. I was given a room on the first floor, very close to the lobby, so I could just open the door in the morning and head straight to the airport shuttle bus."

"Better than expected! I personally felt that even though the space wasn't super wide, it was actually a bit bigger than what the official photos showed, so two people sleeping there shouldn't be a problem. The bathroom was very clean, and they provided disposable towels to avoid any hygiene issues. I was initially worried the shower area would be too small based on the pictures, but it was actually decent to use. The natural light is amazing, so much so that if you don't close the sheer curtains at noon, the room really heats up from the sun. You'll naturally wake up when the sun shines in the morning. If you love sunshine and want to regulate your body clock, booking this place is really worth it. The only minor drawback is that it's a bit far from the subway station, probably about a ten-minute walk, and you'd still need to take the subway to get to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. However, the positives far outweigh the negatives; the natural light alone makes it highly recommendable!"

"The hotel is located on the 2nd floor without any lift. Very clean room with a powerful shower spray bathroom. The bathroom has a modern and nice warm toilet seat and it's self flushing. The decor of the room is very nice with a beautiful painting. It has a kettle but without any coffee/tea beverages. Smooth and prompt check-in especially when we arrived about 1am from Pudong Airport. The lady receptionist directed us to our room promptly as we were rather tired. Our room faces a shady river and it's quiet. However, during the day, there is some ongoing construction in the next section of the building from about 9+ am. But by then, we are out exploring Shanghai. There are plenty of eateries nearby which are very good. The nearest Zhongshan Road Metro station (Red Line #1) is about 800m away.."

"The location of the hotel was fantastic, just a street away from Nanjing East Pedestrian Street. Therefore, there is convenience in the location, yet also quietness from being a street away. The amenities were great too, the room clean, and value for money. Would definitely stay here again if I’m in Shanghai."
