5-Star Hotels in Wuhan

I came to Wuhan for Chinese New Year and stayed at the Qingshan New Century Hotel because my friend lives nearby. It seems like a new hotel, and all the facilities are excellent. The breakfast was also very rich, and the staff were all incredibly friendly. My only complaint is the open-plan bathroom, which I really didn't like, but that's a design issue. The hotel service was fantastic, and they even offered a shuttle service to Wuhan Station, which was a pleasant surprise.

For the past few years, I have traveled to Wuhan at least once a year, and every single time I choose to stay at Royal Grace Hotel. For me, it’s more than just a hotel — it feels comfortable and familiar, almost like a home away from home. One of the main reasons I keep coming back is the exceptional care and attention I receive. Before each trip, I always message the manager, Coco, to let her know about my specific needs, such as having large-print labels on the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and other amenities. She consistently takes care of everything before I arrive. It truly means a lot to feel understood and cared for in this way. Whenever I need anything from the front desk, the staff responds immediately and with genuine kindness. Their efficiency, warmth, and professionalism make every stay smooth and relaxing. I am sincerely grateful for the wonderful service and hospitality I receive each time. The service is consistently excellent, and the decor is tastefully done, so it hasn't shown its age over the years! The breakfast is as delicious as ever, with a wide variety of options, and their hot dry noodles are absolutely fantastic! Dinner also offers great value for money! The front desk staff, especially Lucky, was incredibly warm and attentive. They even upgraded my room for free, which I really appreciate. Both the front desk and restaurant staff provide excellent service!

This hotel is extremely convenient, being very close to the airport, which made our travel much easier. At the beginning of our stay there were a few issues and we had to change rooms twice, but the customer service was excellent throughout. The staff were patient, responsive, and genuinely helpful in resolving everything quickly. The amenities were a big plus the gym was well-equipped, and the free laundry service was very convenient. Breakfast was also a highlight, with a very good buffet offering plenty of options. Overall, despite the initial hiccups, the great service and facilities made this a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Would happily stay again.

An unexpectedly amazing and well-established hotel! The rooms are spacious, and the location is super convenient, right next to the subway station. The front desk service was excellent. The health club's swimming pool and the standard snooker room were fantastic. The hotel's cafe has a great ambiance and delicious food, perfect for afternoon tea, a light meal, or escaping the summer heat.

This business trip to Wuhan, I stayed at Fairmont Wuhan, and the overall experience was fantastic. The hotel is conveniently located, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the facilities are top-notch. I'd especially like to commend Karina and Mandy for their exceptional service. They were attentive, thoughtful, and professional, always responding promptly to my inquiries and various requests. Their considerate service truly enhanced my trip. This hotel has always been a favorite of mine, and the experience was excellent. I'll definitely choose Fairmont Wuhan again on my next visit to Wuhan. Highly recommended!

My stay at Hilton Wuhan Riverside exceeded my expectations! The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient with check-in, patiently providing information about the hotel's facilities. The room was clean and spacious, and the high-floor river view room offered spectacular views, with floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the Yangtze River and Parrot Island Bridge—the night view was especially stunning. The bedding was comfortable, and soundproofing was good. The breakfast offered a rich variety, with local snacks like hot dry noodles tasting authentic. The high-altitude river view pool was perfect for photos, and its proximity to Hanyang Beach made for convenient leisurely strolls. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Wuhan!

I had a really unpleasant experience at this hotel, largely due to their faulty UnionPay system. On the first day of Chinese New Year, during check-in, I was incorrectly charged – something that has never happened in all my years of staying at hotels. It took two full days to resolve, and throughout the process, the staff repeatedly blamed UnionPay, denying any hotel responsibility. The compensation they offered was a fruit platter, which I promptly refused. In the family room I stayed in, there were several noticeable dents on the floor near the bathroom entrance. I don't understand why they weren't repaired; instead, they were simply covered with a carpet. It was quite startling if you weren't expecting to step into one. Additionally, the bathroom lacked an exhaust fan, so any odors after using the toilet would spread throughout the entire room. Thankfully, there was a window I could open to air it out. Regarding the air conditioning, it was incredibly noisy and very slow to heat up. On the first day of my stay (Chinese New Year), the room was a chilly 22 degrees. Even after setting it to 26 degrees, it didn't reach that temperature until my check-out on the fifth day. The hotel's ground-level parking lot is tiny and often full. The underground parking spaces are also very small and difficult to navigate. Unfortunately, our MPV got scratched in the dimly lit underground lot at night. As for breakfast, for the first two days of our stay, I assume there were fewer guests, so the breakfast offerings were quite perfunctory. It only improved when more guests arrived in the following days. Overall, it was a very unsatisfactory stay!

I stopped over in Wuhan for a night and the accommodation exceeded my expectations. We checked in smoothly with our pet, and there were no additional charges. The hotel did a great job assigning our room, and the soundproofing was excellent. It was the first time my dog slept so soundly outside of our home; she didn't spend the whole night on guard. We kept our dog in a stroller in the public areas. While the hotel is pet-friendly in that it allows pets, there's still room for improvement. For example, the pet bed provided isn't very useful, as most pet owners know that pets won't readily sleep in an unfamiliar bed with unfamiliar scents. Perhaps a pet playpen would be better. Providing pet pads, diapers, and even pheromone sprays for anxiety or flea/tick sprays would truly make it feel pet-friendly. Nevertheless, I'm happy to see that brand-name hotels are gradually opening up to and improving their pet policies, and I believe things will only get better in the future. Aside from the pet aspect being quite satisfactory, I really need to complain about the hotel breakfast. I arrived at the restaurant around 9:45 AM, knowing the hotel was full and breakfast would be crowded, so I specifically tried to avoid peak hours. When I got to the entrance, both the hostess and manager were looking down, and there was no one to seat us. All the trays were empty, and people were scrambling to find plates. I didn't see any service staff in the dining area; it was the head chef who brought out the plates. The food was cleared very quickly by 9:55 AM. I asked an employee who was clearing the food for a main serving spoon to eat my cereal, and she told me they only had ceramic spoons, and that the stainless steel ones were only for the serving counter. The Americano coffee machine at the coffee bar only filled cups about 60% of the way. The restaurant manager really needs to contact the supplier to adjust the machine. What I also can't understand is why the omelet station, which is a key QA check for the Marriott brand, has been changed. There are no more omelets, and although they made sunny-side up eggs, I'm still a bit confused. I've never stayed at a Sheraton before, so perhaps the standards are different? On a positive note, I want to praise the chef at the noodle station. She was incredibly enthusiastic, and the beef noodles were delicious. Even though it was close to closing time, she maintained her warmth and enthusiasm, which was really lovely. However, there's a small detail: the chopsticks provided for eating noodles aren't ideal for picking up the noodles. I observed that most guests were business travelers, and it's very easy for soup to splash onto their clothes. Because of this, I didn't finish my delicious beef noodles.

This was my first time staying at the Howard Johnson Pearl Plaza, and I was absolutely stunned the moment I checked into my river-view room. It truly offered a spectacular river view! Looking out, I could see the lush greenery of Hankou Beach and the bustling skyline of Wuchang Beach. Barges and cruise ships flowed endlessly on the river, creating a picturesque scene of the majestic Yangtze, just like something out of a dream. As night fell, the high-rise buildings along the riverbank lit up in a dazzling display of colors, absolutely breathtaking! I turned off the lights in my room, sat in front of the huge floor-to-ceiling window, and gazed at the magnificent nightscape, feeling as if I was part of it all. Next time I visit Wuhan, I will definitely choose this hotel again because of its excellent location, clean and tidy facilities, and good value for money.
