Wuhan Marriott Hotel Wuchang

The hotel service was excellent, very clean and hygienic, and the breakfast was plentiful. They even provided free breakfast for two children, which was a very satisfying experience!

The hotel's overall decor is luxurious and imbued with local character, with exquisite Jingchu cultural displays visible everywhere. Staying in a corner room offered panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning high-altitude night views. The bathroom layout was well-designed, and the scenic bathtub provided an amazing experience. The amenities were complete and hygienically clean. This is truly a hidden gem among high-rise hotels in the Wuchang district.

This hotel is perfectly situated by the Shahu Lake, in a quite central and convenient location in Wuchang. The rooms offer fantastic lake views from floor-to-ceiling windows, and the amenities are comprehensive. The breakfast spread is varied and delicious, and the front desk staff are warm and attentive. From check-in to check-out, the service was thoughtful and impeccable. Highly recommended.

Overall, the stay was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable with a fantastic view, and the high-altitude night scenery was amazing. Facilities were comprehensive, and room service was very responsive. It was also convenient for driving, and the surrounding commercial area was well-developed. It's definitely the top choice for accommodation when visiting Wuhan.

The hotel is brand new overall, and the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows in the room offer an incredible view, showcasing the lake by day and the city skyline by night. The bedding is comfortable, and thoughtful details like the Bluetooth speaker and Dyson hairdryer are a big plus. The breakfast includes many local Wuhan specialties, and the Xiangyang beef noodles were delicious. Service was prompt, and the subway access is convenient. The overall experience was fantastic, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Wuhan.

The 61st floor executive lounge offers executive benefits: great views, the best in Wuhan. The decor incorporates Chu-Han cultural design elements, and the lobby is stylish and aesthetically pleasing. The guest rooms are spacious and airy, with a fully stocked mini-bar and a wet/dry separated bathroom. The high-altitude night view is stunning, the bedding is soft, and the attention to detail is commendable. The snacks and drinks during happy hour at the executive lounge are of good quality. Sitting high up in the evening, watching the sunset, my fatigue instantly dissipated.

The hotel's location is super convenient, with direct access to the subway from the second basement level, making getting around incredibly easy. Our room was on a high floor, very quiet with good soundproofing, and offered expansive views of the city and the beautiful Shahu Lake. The breakfast selection was rich, with plenty of Chinese and Western options. There were also many local Hubei specialties, and the Hot Dry Noodles and Xiangyang Yellow Wine were particularly authentic and delicious. Since we were a family of three, both the front desk and the breakfast manager proactively offered a complimentary breakfast for one person. Other staff members were also very service-oriented, always asking if we needed help, for example, with luggage. Overall, our stay was quite pleasant, and we'd be happy to stay here again if we have the chance! However, there were a few minor issues that, if improved, would make the experience even better: 1. During check-in, the front desk requested a deposit for incidental expenses, which caught us by surprise. It was the first time we'd encountered this situation. Even after we stated we wouldn't be using any chargeable items in the room or other hotel services, the front desk still tried to persuade us to pay the incidental deposit. Finally, seeing my obvious displeasure, they stopped insisting. This somewhat affected my first impression of the hotel. 2. The breakfast on Monday and Tuesday was almost identical. It would be better if there was more variety. 3. While there were many Hubei specialty breakfast items, the 'mian wo' (fried dough ring) was burnt but not crispy (a bit hard in texture). The dish labeled 'preserved pork and bean thread noodles' had very little preserved pork and more shredded meat; it tasted fresh but lacked the distinct aroma of preserved meat and was a bit salty and greasy. At the Hot Dry Noodles station, there were bottled chili oil and homemade chili oil, but neither had a noticeable spicy kick, which was a small disappointment.
