Howard Johnson Pearl Plaza Wuhan

Extended my stay for another night. This is an older, established five-star hotel with an excellent location, making it convenient to get anywhere. It's very close to Bagong Mansion and Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street, and just a 3-stop bus ride from the hotel entrance to Hankou Customs Ferry Terminal.

The hotel's location is excellent. It's right by the riverside park, and the view from the room is beautiful. The hygiene, environment, and service are all good. Although the facilities aren't the newest, they are practical, clean, and comfortable, making for a very convenient stay.

The hotel's location is excellent, right by Hankou Beach, offering superb views of both the river and the city. The revolving restaurant on the top floor has great views and is worth a visit. The service was warm and welcoming, and my child had a wonderful stay. We'd definitely book again if we get the chance.

Extremely satisfied! I mentioned my preferences at check-in, and the front desk upgraded me to a river-view room and allowed a late check-out, which was incredibly accommodating. The hotel facilities aren't brand new, but they are very clean and meticulously maintained. The location is perfect, with many attractions nearby, making it super convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and dining. It really shows the quality you expect from an established five-star hotel. I'll definitely book the Mingzhu again next time I'm in Wuhan.

The room had a strong musty smell, the facilities were old, and the bathtub couldn't even be used for a bath. The staff at the entrance didn't offer to help with luggage, which was disappointing. The hotel is quite old and could really use a renovation and some improvements. The only redeeming quality was the view, which was indeed nice. Cancelling my three-day reservation was definitely the right choice.

I came with my mom and sister, and a twin room was just enough. There's also a swimming pool, which my sister and the others really enjoyed. The environment is good and the service is great. I'll definitely come back for the food and will choose this place again. However, I was surprised to find out that laundry service costs extra. I thought it would be free like at other hotels I've stayed at. 😂😂 You really need to ask about all the services beforehand when you check out.

The hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable. It's situated right on Yanjiang Avenue, directly across from a huge riverside park. You can step downstairs and immediately enjoy views of the Yangtze River, cherry blossoms, and the night cruise boats – no need to go anywhere else. Right next to the hotel are the Soong Ching Ling Former Residence and the Wuhan Municipal Government building. Behind it is the Wuhan Women's Federation, and the famous Bagong House is a short walk away. It's quite luxurious and grand. The hotel's swimming pool and amenities are all excellent and fully equipped. However, I generally wouldn't recommend the hotel breakfast. There isn't much to choose from; it's probably the worst breakfast I've had at a five-star hotel. If you have the option, definitely stay in an executive suite. You can enjoy river views right from your bed, and the toiletries are all brand-name products. For food delivery, you'll need to go downstairs to pick it up yourself. The hotel can deliver it to your room, but it's slow.

Excellent location with stunning views of the riverfront. The hotel boasts a classic five-star decor. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options and is truly outstanding compared to other hotels in Wuhan. The staff are warm, generous, and provide excellent service. Five stars!

This is my nth stay here, and the value for money is truly excellent. The river view is superb, and the location is fantastic. I still hope they can provide some bed rails, which would be even better for families with children.
