Disappointing Stay Despite an Impressive Suite We were really looking forward to our stay at the Sheraton Xi’an North City Hotel, particularly as we had booked an Executive Suite. Unfortunately, while the suite looked impressive at first glance, our overall experience was disappointing and fell short of the standard we had experienced at the other hotels during our trip. The main issue was the air conditioning, which simply did not cool the room adequately. The temperature remained around 27°C, making it difficult to relax or sleep comfortably. The solution offered by the hotel was to provide two portable air coolers, but unfortunately these made little difference to the room temperature. For a hotel of this standard, we would have expected the air conditioning to be functioning properly rather than relying on portable units. There were also issues with the fridge/minibar and room service. After checking in, we noticed that the fridge/minibar had not been stocked and contacted reception to ask about it. Unfortunately, communication was difficult, and after around 40 minutes we were still waiting for an answer. We were told that a manager would call us back, but this did not happen. Eventually, someone came to the room and explained that if we wanted drinks, we would need to order them through room service. This would have been acceptable had room service been reasonably prompt, but on the two occasions we ordered, delivery took around an hour. To be fair, however, the food itself was very good once it arrived. Housekeeping was another area where we were disappointed. On the day before checkout, towels had been left in the bath as a clear indication that they needed replacing. When we returned late that evening after a full day of sightseeing, the towels had still not been replaced and the bed had not been made. Fresh bottles of water had been left, so there had clearly been some room servicing, but the incomplete housekeeping was disappointing. There were also some cleanliness issues within the suite. Although it looked impressive, closer inspection revealed dirty marks on the mirror and tabletops, while the safe contained a noticeable amount of dust. More concerningly, we found part of what appeared to be a medical tablet inside the safe. These are small details individually, but together they suggested that the room had not received the level of detailed cleaning we would expect before a new guest arrived. We don't want this review to appear unfair, because there were positives. The Executive Suite itself was spacious and had the potential to be an excellent room, and, as mentioned, the food we ordered from room service was very good. The problems were also not about the friendliness of individual staff members; rather, they concerned communication, follow-through, housekeeping and the resolution of basic room issues. Overall, it was a shame because we had been looking forward to our stay here. Unfortunately, the combination of an uncomfortable room temperature, delays in resolving the minibar issue, slow room service and inconsistent housekeeping meant that the stay was not the relaxing experience we had hoped for. Compared with the other hotels we stayed in during our trip, the Sheraton Xi’an North City lacked consistency in several areas that are important to us. We hope the hotel will take this feedback constructively, as with better attention to maintenance, housekeeping and service follow-through, the property could deliver a much better guest experience.

The hotel upgraded us for free to two parent-child rooms, which were incredibly spacious and the facilities were quite new. I initially booked for one night, but after staying, I immediately extended for two more nights. The service was also exceptional. In the morning, I put my clothes in the washing machine before heading out, and they dried them and returned them to my room. The location is also fantastic, right in the city center, making it convenient to go anywhere. Even though it's in the city center, it's very quiet. I was traveling with my parents, and it was an extremely satisfying experience!

The room was great and very comfortable. It's also conveniently located near Datang Everbright City. A big thank you to Kiko, Xiaoman, and Sun Bingyue for their patient check-in service. My only suggestion would be to replace the bunk beds with wooden ones or ones with better stability, as the current ones creak quite a bit when you turn over in bed.

I booked two rooms, one directly facing the hallway entrance and the other next to the equipment room, at opposite ends of the same floor. They claimed this was to keep us on the same floor. Is this how you treat long-time customers? Do you call two twin beds pushed together a 'king room'? And then claim it's an upgraded room type? Why didn't the front desk mention this at check-in? It's not like I'm stingy about a few extra bucks. No one paid any attention when we got in or out of the car, or when entering/exiting the hotel. I know you don't lack guests, but I will definitely not choose Renaissance Hotel again when I come to Xi'an in the future. Regarding the Minibar & Welcome Drinks: The front desk specifically told me they were chargeable. After calling the duty manager, it took multiple confirmations for them to finally admit that my booked room type included them for free.

Our hotel stay was very satisfying. It was clean, tidy, and had a nice vibe. The linens and towels were also good. The breakfast was a mix of Chinese and Western dishes; while the variety wasn't huge, the quality was excellent, and it was definitely enough. The hotel's location is also fantastic, not far from the Muslim Quarter, Bell and Drum Tower, and city walls. A lot of the guests were foreigners. The guy at reception was enthusiastic and sincere, and he recommended many great restaurants.

Our overall stay was very pleasant, and I'd like to extend a special thanks to the front desk staff and Auntie Yan, the housekeeper on the 6th floor. With the continuous high temperatures in Xi'an, our room's daily supplies were used up quickly. After I briefly mentioned needing more bath towels to Auntie Yan, she quietly and proactively added two fresh towels to our room every day. When we ran into her before checking out, she greeted us warmly, offered us pre-prepared ice water, and reminded us to keep the air conditioning on. Her attention to detail and genuine sincerity made her service incredibly heartwarming, truly reflecting the warmth of the East House Hotel. However, the hotel's breakfast restaurant experience could use some improvement. The auntie at the noodle station seemed to have a poor sense of hygiene; she used gloves that had handled raw eggs to directly touch the serving bowls. After receiving our bowls, we could clearly see residual raw egg whites. Her service attitude was also cold, even a bit impatient. I hope for a better experience on my next stay.

I struck gold with this hotel on my trip to Xi'an, and I wholeheartedly recommend Alley.M Motel (Xi'an Bell and Drum Tower Huimin Street Branch) to anyone visiting the city. First off, the location is absolutely fantastic. It's only 160 meters from Bell Tower Subway Station and just over 200 meters from the Bell Tower itself. Huimin Street and the Drum Tower are a mere ten-minute walk away, and it's also close to Sajinqiao for a morning market food adventure. The area is teeming with local delicacies like Roujiamo (meat burger) and Yangrou Paomo (pita bread soaked in lamb soup). After enjoying the city wall's night view, it's a pleasant stroll back to the hotel. Plus, it's incredibly convenient to take the subway to attractions like the Terracotta Army and the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. The hotel boasts a strong sense of design, and the public areas are perfect for photos. The rooms are clean and tidy, with all the necessary amenities, including a wet/dry separated bathroom and a fresh air system. The service is also very thoughtful; check-in was efficient, they proactively arranged a quiet room, helped with luggage, and even recommended local eateries. There's also a free laundry room, which is super friendly for tourists. The price is affordable, offering great value for money. I had a fantastic experience during my four-day stay. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Xi'an – you can't go wrong with it!

This stay exceeded my expectations! The room was spacious and bright, and the cleanliness was impeccable, right down to the odor-free bathroom with plenty of stable hot water. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating, always happy to help with a kind attitude. The surrounding area has convenient options for dining and transportation. I slept really well, and I highly recommend this place!

the hotel was located along a main road (behind a wall but they have led signs to guide you there). the room was in a decent condition (some dust below the shelves and in the corners of the room) and the toilet bowl had a funky smell coming out of it, but overall cleanliness is acceptable. the room was also quite large. we were able to have 2 luggages open on the floor and still had space to walk around. the kettle was broken but we didn't need it. the 24hr reception was very responsive and helpful as well. though the hallways are quite loud because they amplify the footsteps and luggage wheels as people walked past. overall a decent and enjoyable stay!

I wholeheartedly recommend Yafu Hotel! The overall service truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the front desk lady was gentle and kind, and the owner was incredibly hospitable, patiently answering all my travel questions. I happened to check in during the Dragon Boat Festival, and the hotel thoughtfully gave us festive small gifts. The floral sachet charm was super cute and really enhanced the festive atmosphere. There's a huge guide board for Hanfu scenic spots by the elevator, covered with beautiful ancient-style photos. Routes to places like Mount Hua, the North Station, Shaanxi History Museum, and the Bell Tower are clearly marked, so sisters planning to take Hanfu photos won't need to look up routes everywhere – it's incredibly convenient for getting around. The room itself was clean and spacious, the bedding was soft, and the natural light was excellent, making for a perfectly comfortable stay. Whether you're traveling solo or visiting Xi'an with friends, this place is a great fit. Both the value for money and service are top-notch, and I strongly recommend it to anyone traveling to Xi'an!
