Excellent
MMikaEmmaKeya and Jim at the front desk were exceptional. We had a new born baby travelling with us and Keya was extremely well mannered by coordinating bell service and walked with us in to our beautifully baby-prepped room and showed us key amenities to enhance our stay -eg baby bottle warmer, kids towel, slippers, kids dental kit, shampoo/shower gel etc. The shopping arcade in the Galaxy Promenade was absolutely stunning, so clean and grand. Food selection was great and there is a huge Apple Store inside. Galaxy hotel also has a top tier hotel-guest only kids play area which is one of the best in the area. As a bonus, Galaxy hotel is located not too far from traditional old city streets with lots of top street food and historical building to take pictures (Rue de Cunha and surrounding areas). This is a great place to stay for all families. Our family felt so well taken care of and we will be back next time.
GGuest UserThe location is excellent! It's right next to Wynn, which usually has the mesmerizing 'Tree of Prosperity' and 'Performance Lake' shows (though I missed them this time due to maintenance). Across the street is the Grand Lisboa. It's about an 800-meter walk to major attractions like the Ruins of St. Paul's and St. Dominic's Church. On the way to St. Dominic's, you'll pass Chee Kei Egg Waffles – you absolutely *must* try one, they're the best I've ever had! Most of the attractions on the Macau Peninsula are within walking distance or just a few bus stops away. If you're not planning on visiting The Londoner or Venetian, this is the perfect place to stay. It's also about a 700-meter walk to MGM, where you should definitely try their complimentary bubble tea; it's quite good!
GGuest UserThis is my third stay here, and Grand Lisboa is definitely the GOAT of Macau! Everything from the facilities to the service is absolutely top-notch. The location is excellent, perfect for exploring the peninsula on foot. The hotel lobby is always bustling with tourists during the day. The kids absolutely loved the jetted bathtub, and the toiletries are fantastic. The view from the sea-view room window is also amazing.
GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for one night. The environment was good, located in a bustling area right next to a large shopping mall, with plenty of food, drinks, and entertainment downstairs. The hotel itself was relatively quiet. The room was quite small and not very big, and the facilities were a bit old. Although it could accommodate three people with two beds and a sofa bed, it was still quite damp in March, and the air conditioning was noisy. It was convenient to walk to the Ruins of St. Paul's and get around everywhere.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is pretty good, right next to Grand Lisboa. You can take the free Grand Lisboa **shuttle directly from the Gongbei Port; the information on Doubao (bean bag) is inaccurate and suggests taking other buses. I booked a twin room, and it was quite spacious. The hotel is really old, with a 90s Chinese style. The hot and cold water in the heater need to be adjusted separately, there's no mixing valve, so it's easy to get frozen or scalded. However, the service is quite good, and the hygiene is acceptable. It really felt nostalgic, like going back several decades, you don't find hotels this old in mainland China anymore. But overall, it was alright.
LLiluThe Grand Emperor Hotel in Macau generally feels a bit dated, with facilities showing their age and a more traditional, practical style. However, the hotel staff are quite helpful and can meet basic needs. Its location is convenient for getting around, and the value for money is decent. It's a suitable choice for travelers who prioritize convenience and aren't too particular about modern decor.
ZZailvtuzhongdelaoliuThe lobby seating area on the first floor felt a bit small, with only a few chairs. However, the rooms are very spacious, especially for Macau standards. The hallways and elevators were clean and tidy. The room service staff on the sixth floor were very enthusiastic. I booked two non-smoking rooms, but one of them had a strong cigarette smell upon check-in. I called room service, and they quickly brought an air freshener to deal with it, although a slight odor lingered.
SSukitingtingIf you're looking for a luxury experience or brand-new facilities, you might be disappointed. However, as a convenient and high-value base, especially for tourists planning to frequently explore, the Presidential Hotel remains a practical choice. It's recommended to prioritize high-floor, non-smoking rooms to avoid noise and unpleasant odors.
