GGuest UserThis is a very nice resort. The interior is very clean and large. Bed is comfortable and toilet is good with jacuzzi. You will see kangaroos and cockatoos outside the cottage in the morning and evening. My kids enjoy the stay very much. However you need to either cook your own meals or drive out to eat. The drive is about 15 mins.

MM12315****The soundproofing in the room is terrible. You can clearly hear the water pipes from the next-door shower and the air conditioning. Coming back to the room at night felt like being in a bustling market; it was incredibly noisy. I called the front desk to have someone check it out, but no one ever came all night. If you're sensitive to noise, definitely do not stay here!!

DDazhanhongtuLOverall, it was quite good. As described, the bed was relatively narrow. It's very close to the terminal and offers airport shuttle service, with staff even helping with luggage. During peak times, you can self-check-in.

SsweetknellneuThis is definitely a hotel I'd want to stay at again; check-in was super smooth. The room and bed were really small, but it's newly renovated and has everything you need, plus a nice city view from the window. The price was fantastic, and the location is super convenient – you can walk everywhere you want to go in the city. The only downside is that it's a bit close to the train tracks, so light sleepers might want to bring earplugs. The air conditioning kept showing errors and wasn't working very well.

DDaphh02The Highlights 1. The location of this hotel is second to none. Right outside the door, you’ll find endless food options from quick bites to diverse international cuisines, plus plenty of cafés, bars, and public transport. Having the SkyBus stop to the airport just around the corner was convenient. 2. Every team member I met was friendly, approachable, and genuinely eager to help. They are well-trained and motivated to provide excellent service. 3. The room itself was spacious and modern. Both the daytime city views and night lights from the window were wonderful, and the furnishings felt new and well-maintained. 4. Guests have access to some excellent facilities, including a gym, a library, and a full wellness area. The indoor pool is comfortably heated even on a chilly Melbourne evening, and it comes with a sauna and bubble spa, which makes the stay feel more like a resort. What Could Be Improved 1. The room setup felt unusual. I booked a one-bedroom suite, but was placed in a two-bedroom apartment with the master bedroom locked off. I completely understand that I only paid for one room, but it felt a little strange knowing there was a part of “my” room I couldn’t access. Personally, I would have preferred a proper one-bedroom layout with full access. 2. The bedroom I was 'allowed' to stay in also didn’t have its own air conditioning. It relied on the living room’s unit to keep cool, while the locked-off master had its system. This design made things a bit uncomfortable at times, especially overnight. 3. The sofa had an unpleasant, urine-like odour, which made us reluctant to rest in the lounge. 4. The main door lock was rusty and stiff, making it frustrating to open and close. 5. There was no landline phone in the room to contact reception, so the only option was to head downstairs. A couple of times, even during office hours, the reception was unattended (likely because one staff member was juggling multiple tasks). It could be so inconvenient to have a more extended stay. 6. While the pool facilities were lovely, they were often crowded. The common facilities are shared with residents of the building as well as hotel guests, but this detracted from the relaxing vibe. Would I stay here again? Yes, probably. Mainly because of the unbeatable location, the great facilities, and the friendly staff. But I do think the hotel needs to address the details so that it can align with what they claimed as 'luxury'.

SSolomon LoOn 24/6 I ordered fried eggs during breakfast, yet the quality of the eggs were not up to standard, yolk was not normal and with no taste at all, yet I ordered same on the next day with a different chef, that was back to a normal egg, I wondered Sheraton would use such quality of eggs! Another opinion is that gym room facilities are not enough, thanks!

Vvan0ffthewallStayed at Ibis Kingsgate for two weeks as I was here to celebrate my birthday. It is my second time staying here; I also came here last year for two weeks and for my birthday! The hotel is located within a good and safe area - which is great for solo travellers such as myself. I’ve seen families at this hotel too. Ibis Kingsgate is within the free tram zone (you can take the 86 or 96), with access to many amenities nearby such as Coles, Woolies, Southern Cross Station (great for when you have to catch the SkyBus), My Chemist, and a range of food and cafe options. Located at the cross junction of King and Bourke St, the hotel is also walking distance to other popular streets such Elizabeth, Queen, Williams, Colins, Lonsdale, La Trobe, and more! Flinders is nearby too, and you can just cut across to Southbank as well! In fact, you can even walk to Lygon, Docklands or even as far as Collingwood, which I did! If walking is not your thing, there are also many options for trams, trains, and buses near this hotel. Room is adequate and clean, with a nice range of television channels. There’s a fridge, kettle and tea/coffee which is occasionally refilled. Bathroom is good too; sufficient and spacious enough, and for some - there’s even a window in the bathroom! The hotel staff are nice and it’s always great to be back. Thank you for the room upgrade, it made my trip even more special. I returned the gesture by keeping the room as clean and tidy as possible. ;p Until next time! See ya later!

GGuest UserLocation: Can be tricky to find the first time as you need to turn onto Cyril Street. Look across the road for the white building with red writing. Check-in: easy and fast. The man on reception is friendly and organised, just a lovely receptionist. There is a bond of $200; be organised and you’ll save your time and the receptionist’s time. You can pay the bond in cash. Parking: great, BUT there are some permanents living there and so you might want to park away from them… you will see immediately where you should not park :) clean parking area. Seemed organised. Room: very clean, comfortable. There are no knives, forks or plates, but there is a kettle and a microwave. Teas coffees, etc. six milk pods, so maybe bring milk if you need more. Really make sure that you close the door properly or it will seem shut, but not actually be shut and will open :) Good curtains in the room that block out the light from outside. I noticed a fair amount of security cameras outside on the walkway, which was reassuring. Fantastic showers with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The bed is firm, but I liked it. Would or wouldn’t stay again? Unfortunately, no, not while they are acting as ‘crisis accommodation’. The staff and room were great, but there are some undesirables living there who kept us awake all night. Not exaggerating when I say, did not sleep AT ALL. We were up and down to check on the car - the permanents were screaming, fighting - some real Jerry Springer stuff. I was upstairs and the people next to me had a dog that barked all night, in addition to the couple screaming at each other :/ Downstairs, fighting, screaming constantly. it sounded like something got broken downstairs. A guy on a motorbike kept coming and going, visiting the permanents downstairs and talking super loudly, then more yelling and fighting after he tore off on his bike. I didn’t feel safe; I expected the car to get damaged. I realise those people’s behaviour is not the motel’s fault, but I was so tired the next day that I got a migraine and yeah, still fending it off now, day after. Not impressed with those feral permanents. It’s a shame because the staff and rooms are great

GGuest UserVery easy check in. Instructions by reception were spot on.  The one bedroom apartment was huge. Plenty of room with an equally huge balcony.  The place was clean, apart from one of the towels that had some type of hard black stain that stick do towels to it’s self. Not ideal, but this would be an issue with the laundry company that Quest use.  I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend.
