I recently stayed at Citadines on Bourke Melbourne for 8 nights and overall had a good experience, which I would rate around 4 out of 5 stars. The location is excellent and the hotel offers good value for a stay in Melbourne’s CBD. The room was comfortable and well-equipped, and I appreciated that housekeeping was provided every two days rather than daily, which I was perfectly happy with. However, there were a few areas where the experience could be improved. Housekeeping was somewhat inconsistent during my stay. On several occasions, floor towels were not replaced, some areas of the room appeared to be missed during cleaning, pillow covers were not changed when expected, and not all toiletries were refilled. It was frustrating to discover there was no soap or shampoo while already in the shower, requiring a call to reception and a wait for replenishment. The shower itself could also be improved, as the hot water temperature fluctuated quite noticeably between hot and cold, making it difficult to maintain a comfortable shower. There were also a couple of minor inconveniences upon arrival. The parking, while available, costs approximately AUD $45 per day and the process of locating and accessing it was somewhat confusing on the first day. Additionally, there was no HDMI cable in the room, which meant I had to request one from reception. Housekeeping also occasionally forgot to clear the trash, which added to the inconsistency of the service. The kitchenette could also be better equipped. I found the dustbin to be quite small for an extended stay, the knives were not very sharp, and there was no chopping board provided, which made preparing meals less convenient. On a positive note, after our 8-night stay, the hotel was able to provide us with a complimentary one-hour late checkout, which was appreciated and helped end the stay on a better note. Despite these issues, the staff were generally helpful when assistance was needed, and the overall stay was pleasant. With a little more attention to housekeeping consistency, maintenance, and guest amenities, this hotel could easily provide an even better experience. Overall, I would still consider staying here again due to the great location and comfortable accommodation.

The hotel was in a great location near Chinatown, making it very easy to find. There were many restaurants nearby with lots of food choices. Public transport was also very convenient, which made travelling around the city simple and enjoyable.

The room was spacious and had everything you need without being fancy. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help. Rooms would benefit from a deep clean as there were stains in corners and on sides of furniture that could be wiped. I would stay here again if I wanted a spacious room with a convenient location in Melbourne CBD.

4D3N stays (18 May 2026) Overall it was a good stay... Strategic location, tram station located just in front of the hotel..Many restaurants and cafes nearby...Will sure come back again. The only shortfall is there is no daily housekeeping...other than that, all good!

Hotel room itself is great, room is always cleaned each day even when we didn’t request it to. That was only one night (out of 3) that the housekeeping did clean the room but didn’t make the bed, thats acceptable. But the outstanding thing was, there was this one female frontdesk staff that allowed us to check-in at 08 AM that made the stay awesome! Keep up the good work.

Good location. Just in front of the tram stop Russel Street on Bourke. There's a Thai & Japanese Restaurant downstairs as well. Front desk is extremely helpful & jolly. Bed is just right. Room is clean. There's a hair dryer, iron, safe, but no toothbrush, I didn't ask, but maybe it's upon request. The good thing about Citadines on Bourke is they have a full kitchen with plates & silverware. We didn't use it, but having a microwave is definitely a plus. They didn't clean daily, but maybe you can ask. But it wasn't an issue for us. We didn't need it anyway. Overall it was a good place to stay in Melbourne, we feel it's very central and near good places to be at.

The layout of this room type is very strange and not like in the picture at all. Total space of the room is huge but the layout is not efficiently designed at all. It’s like we have a big room but don’t feel comfortable inside. One bathroom is too spacious for nothing while leaving very little space in bedroom that has a big pillar in the room. Bathtub is not clean, the trash was never emptied during 3 days I stayed there. Housekeeper just leave all the trash right there. Empty facial tissue box was taken out, but never replaced. Bedsheet was never changed unless requested. The location is good. But with this price, I’d recommend to explore other places.

After returning from the Great Ocean Road, I stayed here again. It's a hotel-style apartment with convenient transportation and plenty of dining options. It's also very close to Chinatown. There's a tram stop right downstairs, and you can take the 96 to South Melbourne. It's close to the church, train station, and shopping center, and not far from Queen Victoria Market. Plus, Melbourne's public transport is free in the city center. The apartment isn't huge, but it's new and you can cook, although I didn't. Great value for money.

My stay at Citadines on Bourke Melbourne was excellent overall. The room was really cozy and comfortable, making me feel right at home and relaxed. The facilities were also very comprehensive. The location couldn't be better – transportation was incredibly convenient! Just a short walk from the tram stop, it was extremely easy to get to all the city's attractions. Plus, it's very close to the subway, so getting around was a breeze. The surrounding amenities were also great in every aspect. All in all, it was a very pleasant and efficient accommodation experience. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Melbourne. Highly recommend!
