Guest UserI was very satisfied with this hotel. Right outside the hotel entrance, there's a large A-Coop supermarket that offers discounts in the evening. Across the street, you'll find Sukiya, FamilyMart, and a drugstore. The hotel also has a restaurant bar on the first floor. From my room, I had a fantastic, wide-open view of Sakurajima volcano! What's particularly great is the shuttle bus service that runs every half hour between Kagoshima-Chuo Station and the hotel – super convenient! A little tip: the shuttle pick-up point at Kagoshima-Chuo Station can be tricky to find. It's best to exit from the East Exit, cross the pedestrian bridge to the other side of the road, then enter through the ground floor entrance and walk through the lobby – you'll see the stop there. The hotel breakfast was also very good, though you might have to queue a bit during peak hours. The hotel staff also helped me call a taxi, and it only took about 10 minutes to get to the Tenmonkan area.

Guest UserIt was our first time travelling to Kagoshima and was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. There are no keys or cards issued for room access, and all you need is the pin code or QR code. I really like that the room has the essential items that you will need during your stay - microwave, stove, washing machine. The hotel do not do housekeeping on a daily basis but it was all good for us as they do refresh the towels everyday. They also provide a water dispenser and ice machine at Level 1. The location of the hotel is fantastic - bars and food joints are just walking distance away and there is a 7-11 at each end of the street. I would highly recommend the hotel for any travellers.

Guest UserGood stay, with clean room and comfortable bed. Breakfast has more of western style, less of Japanese food, but the view of Sakurajima can be seen from restaurant. However in the morning, you may be eating under the sunshine, so better to go for breakfast either very early or much later, not when 8 plus as the sun is strong and you may be given a window seat for solo traveller and when the restaurant is packed.

jeongo_yo_The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from Tenmonkan. The ground floor features a lobby, and a restaurant further inside, which seemed very popular with locals in the evenings. If I revisit Kagoshima, I'd definitely like to try their food. My room was on the 5th floor and I appreciated how spacious it was. I found the flyers for local events posted in the elevator very useful; thanks to them, I even got to see a signed Shohei Ohtani ball! :)

Guest UserIt’s only a 6-minute walk from Kagoshimachuo Station! I stayed in the Tatami Room which can be relatively small for people with big luggages. Like other hostels, the toilets, shower rooms, and common space are shared among the floor. However, I do find the shower area a little small. Many of us wouldn’t enter the shower area if somebody was using the sink because the sink was right in front of one shower cubicle HAHAHA. And yes, there’s only one sink in the common shower area.
I would recommend this place if you are doing a short stay in Kagoshima because there’s lots of shops and restaurants around the area! By the way, it’s located along the same lane as the famous “tonkatsu kawakyu とんかつ川久”. Please try it because it’s the best tonkatsu I’ve ever eaten!

I was impressed by the friendly staff, all of whom had the biggest smiles. Kagoshima Chuo Station is about a 20-minute walk away, straight along the main street in front of the hotel. The breakfast buffet featured a wide variety of local Kagoshima ingredients and traditional dishes, as well as a wide selection of sweets, making it a delightful experience from the start of the day.

Nice room with the view of sakurajima island in some room direction. Room is nice and good for the price. Only drawback is although close to Kagoshima station, it’s a quite location and you need to walk 5 mins to convenient stores. Restaurant is also limited and close early.

Very close to Kagoshima Chuo, cozy, everything is there. A towel costs 100 yen, bunk beds; closed with a curtain, has its own kitchen, dining area.
Bath and shower are normal.
I really liked the location, the staff. Everything is great for unpretentious tourists.
Good luck!
