To my surprise, it exceeded all my expectations! Hygiene, environment, service, and facilities all scored a perfect 5, making it the highlight of my trip. 【About the Room and View】 As described during booking, I stayed in a room with club lounge access. The moment I opened the door, I was truly amazed – a huge floor-to-ceiling window directly overlooked Sakurajima volcano! Whether it was watching the volcano faintly appear through the morning mist or admiring the city lights come alive in the evening, this view was absolutely breathtaking. The room's interior design was modern and simple with excellent natural light. Staying in such a spacious environment by myself instantly lifted my spirits. 【About Facilities and Service】 As someone meticulous about details, the hotel's cleanliness put me completely at ease; every corner was spotless. - Gym: The equipment was new and comprehensive. Running on the treadmill while enjoying the view outside made the workout feel effortless. - Club Lounge: This was a major highlight of my stay! The environment was elegant and quiet, offering not only comfortable sofa areas for relaxing and reading but also dedicated dining areas and a bar. For a solo traveler like me, it provided both a sense of social security and the freedom of personal space. 【Highly Recommended: Natural Onsen and Foot Bath 🛁】 This was definitely the biggest bonus of my stay! The hotel has its own natural onsen, which is a savior for travelers who have been walking all day. The most thoughtful touch was the outdoor foot bath. If you're traveling alone like me or are a bit shy about public large onsens, this foot bath is absolutely perfect! Sitting on the wooden steps, soaking your feet in the warm spring water, and looking up at the indoor garden scenery – the feeling of relaxation is truly indescribable. You get to enjoy the healing benefits of the onsen without any awkwardness, offering maximum privacy! 【In Conclusion】 If you're traveling to Kagoshima alone or looking for a place to relax and enjoy the scenery, the Sheraton Kagoshima is definitely worth a second visit. The view directly overlooks the volcano. Service: The front desk was responsible. Cleanliness: The room was clean and tidy. Environment: The hotel has three restaurants, all very good. It's a shame I didn't get a chance to try the izakaya, but the other two were excellent.

I was lucky to get a corner room on the 11th floor with a great view of Sakurajima. The room was spacious and the furnishings and decor were very upscale. The breakfast on the 4th floor was plentiful, and I also tried the dinner buffet. It was originally 7000, but I think I only paid just under 5000 per person when checking out, so maybe there's a discount for hotel guests. The food was delicious. The hotel shuttle bus to Chuo Station runs every half hour, so be sure to check the schedule. You can board at Higashi 21, across the street from Chuo Station. There's a huge supermarket across the street with great stuff. Fruits are half the price of Fukuoka, but the apples were a bit mushy. There's also a huge drug store diagonally opposite, which is great for browsing. The view of Takenohashi across from the hotel is also fantastic and worth a stroll. The hotel is conveniently located right opposite a station. I recommend taking a taxi to Shiroyama environment. The hotel also has natural hot springs. Thumbs up, thumbs up, thumbs up!

The hotel room offers a fantastic view of Sakurajima. There's a tram stop right outside the hotel, but due to the heat, we took a taxi to the aquarium and then a ferry to Sakurajima. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets at the hotel's Daily Social restaurant were pretty standard. The service on the buffet floor was also quite average. In contrast, the French restaurant, Flying Hog, upstairs was much more refined and professional, both in terms of service and food. The waitstaff were all well-trained and presented themselves very well. I hope the hotel can standardize its service quality across the board. Another disappointing aspect was the front desk's handling of issues. There was an error in the bill on the first day during check-in, which was only brought to my attention by a different front desk agent during checkout. It took them a considerable amount of time to sort out the discrepancy, which shows a lack of proficiency.

The Sheraton Kagoshima is probably one of the few luxury hotels in Kagoshima, with a great location and it's quite new. The hotel even thoughtfully provided some birthday cookies. Downstairs, there's an A-Coop where we had breakfast every day. They have rooms with Sakurajima views, which are worth checking out. Parking at the hotel can be a bit tricky, but there are plenty of other parking lots nearby, so you don't necessarily have to park at the hotel.

I was very satisfied with this hotel. Right outside the hotel entrance, there's a large A-Coop supermarket that offers discounts in the evening. Across the street, you'll find Sukiya, FamilyMart, and a drugstore. The hotel also has a restaurant bar on the first floor. From my room, I had a fantastic, wide-open view of Sakurajima volcano! What's particularly great is the shuttle bus service that runs every half hour between Kagoshima-Chuo Station and the hotel – super convenient! A little tip: the shuttle pick-up point at Kagoshima-Chuo Station can be tricky to find. It's best to exit from the East Exit, cross the pedestrian bridge to the other side of the road, then enter through the ground floor entrance and walk through the lobby – you'll see the stop there. The hotel breakfast was also very good, though you might have to queue a bit during peak hours. The hotel staff also helped me call a taxi, and it only took about 10 minutes to get to the Tenmonkan area.

Fantastic! The shuttle service is super convenient. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kagoshima.

The room view was fantastic, and the hotel's hot spring was incredibly clean. Absolutely amazing!

The hotel offers a free shuttle bus service from platform 3 at the bus terminal across from Kagoshima-Chuo Station, running every half hour. The drivers are super helpful and even assist with luggage – excellent service! There's a cafe and bakery in the lobby, and the views of Sakurajima are absolutely stunning!!!
